I had the panniculectomy a month ago yesterday, I hear you about the chest congestion! I had a wicked cough for the first 2 and half weeks after surgery, coughing wasn't fun for the incision! This surgery has been tougher recovery than all my eye surgeries and hand surgeries. Thank you for sharing your journey
How much skin did they take off and what was your highest weight mine was 319 now weigh 155 but was told by my gastric bypass doctor and gastric bypass nurse to not weigh less than 145 my surgery is March 2nd 2022 very nervous going to have a little lipo also my mound is going to be raised up my belly button is going to be relocated higher not having a tummy tuck just the panniculectomy Was told that I would be curvy which is okay with me
My highest weight was well over 400 pounds. I had already lost some weight when my weight was checked at 389. I’m down to 250, I’m struggling to lose weight because of my Hashimotos thyroid disease. They removed 20 pounds of skin off me.
Yes. I understand the nervousness. It’s a big surgery and the after care is hard, just follow all of your doctors orders and please rest!!! Rest is the key to healing. If you think or feel something isn’t right don’t be afraid to call. Keep me updated!!

You're in my prayers Rae. You're going to be fine. Hang in there, you got this. 📿
I am watching this on Sunday afternoon, 9/26, and I hope you are feeling better and are home from the hospital. Thinking of you!
Thanks. I’m still here. I probably won’t get home till Monday or Tuesday.
