Exactly my dad when I asked him for help when I was younger. Gave me a complex about math and ever since I've hated going to him for help *with anything*.
When my dad helps for a question that can be solved in a minute it turns into a full 6 hours maths lesson after that I literally feel a pro mathematician
How do they expect the parents to be helping (teaching) the kids how to do it at home if the Parents aren’t the ones with the teachers manual? They really did completely change how they do it. My sister‘s first grader has an hour of homework at night and her kindergarten or has half an hour of homework a night. She might as well homeschool and let the kids have time to join activities and co-ops.
I was babysitting this girl and the top of her math sheets said” do these flip-flop math problems, show your work” that was all the explanation. It even had pictures of flip-flops on it. Despite being 20, not 40 or something, I still didn’t have a clue what that meant. I just told her to write down whatever she thought the answer was and if she didn’t know how to show her work she couldn’t show her work.
Exactly how my dad used to help me with my homework when i was younger, he'd do the problems by different solutions, the answers were correct but the process was not how the teacher wanted it to be, then he insted of leaving it to be. he used to sit there, make me do the entire exercise and watch me solve the entire Unit even though that was not the homework. Thanks dad.
He just plays tanks all day world of tanks thats it and If I need help he'll just do what he did in the video but way more frustrating and alot more yelling
When my dad helped me with my homwork, he always got annoyed when I changed my mind for him to help me. He was a math teacher and always made things seem difficult
My dad never teach and help me in my whole life you're lucky to have a dad like that And he didn't even know what course i get and didn't knew that i graduated
