- Straight thoughts on the Rawlings Encore Catchers Mitt from Luvbaseball. At first glance the glove is of high quality with plenty of padding. An adjustable wrist strap allows for a custom fit. Rawlings delivers with 65% break in but glove will need work before it's game ready. All in all a very good youth glove for the more advanced catchers.

Update - Glove is getting better but still needs a little more work. Catching good. Padding is awesome.
Update - working on the glove each day. It’s starting to come around. I can get the glove closed a little more each time. Some balls are still popping out but fewer each time I use it. Will keep you posted.
Update - Used the mitt in a scrimmage. Had a couple balls bounce out as we continue to break the glove in as it’s not where I want it. Padding is amazing.
Update - continue to work on the glove. It’s still pretty stiff and needs much work. Padding is great and it feels really good one my hand. Will stay at it!
Update - caught some over the weekend. Yesterday took some pop ups out of the catching position. This glove is like a vacuum 👍🏻⚾️
It’s good I used to have one, but the only thing is on the thing it’s meant to be worn two in the pinky if you know what that is, I’ll make a video on it if you want it
I have 3 games this weekend so may give it a try. Hoping to get some clips to make some videos.

How's the glove coming along?
It’s a great glove. It did take much longer to break in than I expected. I continue to use it ever game/practice when I warm up to put extra catches on it.
