These are all the works of Meera Bai in late 1400s which were later attributed to the Mughal courts. This composition is attributed to Mohammad Shah whi got his brother murdered!! But the fact is 'Kaare jaane na doongi' and alsi 'Garjat barsat saawan aayo re' is Meera Bai's call to Kaara or Kala that is Krishna. 'Garjat , barsat, bheejat sawan aayo re' is the original and sung by Lata. The film version was sung by Sudha Malhotra and Kamal Barot.
