@@jake-2206 Irrespective of whether he was able to save it or not it was a long, hopeful ball pumped into the full forward that bounced over the head of a badly positioned keeper.

I was expecting way more fancy goals in a sport that you can use both your hands and your legs. They all looked meh to me, like a regular weekend of soccer goals.

Its not a soccerball no more than a NFL ball is rugby ball.Hurling is run by the GAA who also run this game gaelic football.The goalposts and field have to be fairly similar to allow local parish clubs to play both and it also makes refereeing easier as well
