  • A story about three immigrant musicians and their city Malmö, told during the year of 2015, when so many refugees came to Sweden.
En berättelse om tre invandrade musiker och deras stad Malmö, berättad under det stora flyktingåret 2015.
    ABOUT THE FILM
Malmö was once the typical Swedish town, a quiet worker’s town with a white population. With a few exotic exceptions everyone spoke swedish, listened to the same music and went about their similar lives.
Today Malmö is one of the most debated towns in Scandinavia. It’s multicultural population consists of over 170 nationalities. Almost half of the cities population have an immigrant background. A town, some say, which is one of the worst examples in Europe of immigration gone wrong. Others say that Malmö is an exciting multicultural meeting place.
Through the festive and emotional music of three Malmö-artists and immigrants “Sounds of Exile” gives a different picture of the city - and of immigration in the west today.
