    Bailey and Norvo not being able to stay married but continuing to perform together is a familiar theme in the music business. The same can be said of Bonnie Owens and Merle Haggard!

    She was born in 1907, not 1900. She was only 44 when she passed away.

      Nope. We've done nearly 600 of these video tributes and while we can't pretend to be perfect--mistakes happen, of course--we are meticulous in researching facts like birth dates.
      As is mentioned in the video, the 1900 federal census confirms that Ms. Bailey was born in 1900. The 1910 federal census further confirms it. As do the 1902 and 1905 US Indian Census Rolls.
