If you're this far into the stator, you probably already determined it's shot. anyway: Charge system specs; DC volts while running 13.2 - 15. V DC (I assume, @ idle). Test stator AC volt output on both (or 3) output wires @ 1000 RPM 16 - 26 V AC (stator wires coming out from front of primary). Resistance between stator wires 0.1 - 0.5 Ohms. Stator wire 1 to ground. Stator wire 2 to ground. Stator wire 3 to ground should read 0L (digital multimeter) "open" no continuity.
you need to chase the treads of the all the bolt holes but especially those inner primary bolts. They snap easy. It also helps to pop the starter in befor you tighten the inner primary bolts. On the softails its very tight and you want to get the starter bolts started befor you screw in the inner primary bolts.
@@TheBraaptist hmmmm i used a plastic fastener remover but no luck, was worried about damaging something with a flathead but i may try that. Mine is pretty snug in there and i pulled on it pretty hard. Never been removed, bike is new just tryna get it out without damaging anything.
Try spraying down with Windex and then gently push the ear section back with the tool while giving some tension on the wire. Take small bites with the tool. When you take large chunks or try to rush it is when the plug can become damaged.
Excellent detail.

Good lookin out all the way to DAGO🏴☠️
Can you change with out using the two special tools to stop from spinning
You can use a block of wood but you have to keep the primary from spinning
Did you just muscle it through to get connection out? The video did not show the technique to remove stator.
That’s pretty much what I did. You can work the edges of the rubber with a small screwdriver to help the process, but it came out fairly easy.

@@TheBraaptist got cha thanks!
How did you know your stator was bad
