Imagine waking up in a jail cell after getting busted by the cops and catching a felony drug charge after a session of sleep walking. That would be terrifying.
There was a real life case of this guy. He got into a car, drove to his wife's parents house, murdered them and then drove back home, all while asleep. He had no memory of it at all.
that was basically my uncle one time lmfao, he took an ambien and drove around basically asleep before crashing in a ditch. woke up in a jail cell for DUI funnily enough i had a dream that same night where i was in the back of his car trying to wake him up and we ended up crashing too!
My son sleepwalked for a while, and we figured out if you went "off script", his brain couldn't answer, so if he was awake at night, we would ask him if he was asleep. You don't often get asked if you're asleep. If he didn't answer, he was sleepwalking.
In high school, I babysat my neighbor's kids. One of them would sometimes doze off while we watched TV near bedtime. He slept with his eyes open, and if I walked to another part of the living room, his eyes would track me. It was a slow, laggy drift, like a haunted doll's eyes. A little unsettling, but his parents were aware of it and they said it wasn't an issue. He'd blink once in a while, so he wasn't drying them out.
The whole "going off script" thing kinda reminds me of what I used to do with my schizophrenic biological father. I haven't seen or spoken to him in years, but he would get stuck like a broken record when he was in the middle of an episode. If I asked him five different questions and got the same answer five times, it meant I needed to get some help.

There's actually a difference between occasional episodes of sleep-walking (which is more common in children, but they often grow out of it) and more dangerous REM sleep behaviour disorder. very fun fact! some drugs stay in your system along time, some stay in it a short time (and thus show up on drug screens). they did drug testing in some high schools and lots of kids were caught doing pot. I'm not sure on this front, But I think there is a difference between a full spectrum type of drug test and a targeted one. I haven't done the research myself nor am I in the medical field. I do, however, vaguely recall having a conversation years ago about it with someone. That doesn't mean it's true. Hell, Doesn't even mean the conversation actually happened. I sleepwalk to the toilet at night. When I was 8 years' old we went on a cruise ship and because it wasn't my house I got confused as to where the toilet was. I pulled out the bottom dresser drawer and started pulling down my pants. My parents woke up and took me to the toilet. No clothes or furniture were damaged that night! But close call.
I was sleepwalking through this scene because I was distracted over the fact that the lounge they are in was pretty much picked up piece by piece from IKEA except that glass table with the silver frame legs.
The doctor is just pointing out how most are sleepwalking in and outside the House while giving their written consent for any operation, Quick Response code or shot.
This episode reminds me of the time i was apparently sleepwalking when i was young once. I remember my parents asking me about stuff i did and said one night, having no memory of it. Then my mom explained how i got up out of bed, came to the living room and was watching TV with her and my dad. I can't remember exactly what she said i was talking about, but i have no memory of any of it. As far as i know, it never happened again. Although, there have been reports of me talking in my sleep a few times in my life. It's strange to think about the idea of yourself being asleep and yet you're still consciously moving around, having conversations, and making decisions.
Sleepwalking is weird man. I had an ex who would wander out into the middle of the road. Living in a high ag area during harvest season. A good way to get crushed by a tractor. Narcolepsy is weird too. I was a horse trainer for many years, and I knew several horses with Narcolepsy during my career. One was a big warmblood gelding who had never had these issues before. He started passing out and falling down while being groomed before a ride. The vet's big question was, "what's changed?" Since he had never had narcoleptic episodes before, she thought something had changed so he wasn't sleeping properly. Turns out, his next door neighbor (who was also there on a rehabilitation stint) had recovered and gone home. Poor Roy wasn't sleeping because he missed his friend. We switched around stabling of horses until we found a companion for him that he liked. Roy started sleeping better at night, and stopped falling over on me while I was saddling him. Sleep stuff is weird bro.
I used to sleepwalk when I was a child. I set off our house alarm opening a side door one time, and another time I almost peed on our sofa thinking it was the toilet. Luckily my mom was there to intervene lol 😆

They would not be able to monitor delta waves without an EEG. He should have been driving around with a bunch of diodes and sensors in his head. You also wouldn't be able to get an accurate reading if he's walking around

Ad a lifelong sleepwalker, I'm terrified that one night I'm going to wake up behind the wheel of my car. Everyone else thinks it's funny but it really creeps me out. I do weird things
I usually go about what my usual routine would be if I was awake. So checking on my kids, making food, cleaning. If part of your regular routine is driving during the night then I'd be worried. If not, then I think you are safe 😁
I used to sleepwalk quite a lot. They didn’t explain to me that I did this so it freaked me out when I woke up in different places, wearing different clothes etc. When I found out that I had been sleepwalking they told me the weird stuff I did and it freaked me out more so they stopped telling me again. Found out years later I continued to do it until my teens. I even tried to leave the house at night.
I was sleepwalking when I was younger, around 9 years old. The only reason I know this is because I had found mud on my indoor shoes, something that wasn't there when I went to sleep. I had in my sleep put on my shoes, walked through my parents room to reach the hallway door, went down the stairs then unlocked the outside door and went outside to do something, before going back to bed, closing and locking the door behind me. I never knew how I didn't wake up my parents.
Whoever edits these, I absolutely hate you. You always leave me hanging. Having said that, I did it… I finally subbed to Peacock so I can watch this show.
Sleep walking is crazy. I only had a few occasions and thankfully nothing serious. But one time I woke up sleeping on the couch, and another time in the bathtub. Scared the hell out of my mom when she walked in which woke me up and then we both had a laugh about shortly after.

My little bro has a sleep walking issue occasionally. Ask him anything and he wont answer. We dont let him sleep in rooms with a balcony at hotels. He can open doors in his sleep.
I used to sleep walk more as a child but now not so much. I've woken up in our car in the garage, the livingroom with the television & lights all on, eating, and many times walking around the backyard at night. Luckily I've never woke up driving my car, that would be scary. The doctors told my parents it was triggered by stress, basically I act out my dreams at night.
It's weird af but I can recall sleepwalking once when i was very young. I don't remember the sleepwalking but I do remember waking up standing in my neighbor's back yard, disoriented and confused. I walked out the gate and back to my place but could never really explain to my parents why I was outside at 3am.

How did this guy pass a drug screen if he's doing coke?
very fun fact! some drugs stay in your system along time, some stay in it a short time (and thus show up on drug screens). they did drug testing in some high schools and lots of kids were caught doing pot. To avoid this... the children started doing coke instead! coke is out of your system crazy fast (like a few hours vs a week). arent we happy they cracked down on drug users like that 🙃 now so many more students are passing the drug tests. go america.
He was wearing plot armor when doing the coke.
@@hatingontruth9118 No..the answer was provided above your comment. Twice. Lmao.

ADHD does a funny thing with your memory. If anyone who is actually versed in this topic, I'd love to hear what your take is on this and what some interesting resources on the topic might be. I'm definitely not against reading something new... so I can forget it at some point... apparently. lol.
I've always loved how House says 'Relax'. I use the same tone now and it works on anyone instantly.
I don't know why this popped up at the end of a video I was watching, but it sure did bring back good memories.
Ah, so that's what sleeping with your eyes open looks like. Terrifying.
House M.D UA-cam channel is almost at 1M! Way to go!
Ok now we need someone to make episode playlists
Can u imagine giving away ur kidney in ur sleep
I sleepwalk to the toilet at night. When I was 8 years' old we went on a cruise ship and because it wasn't my house I got confused as to where the toilet was. I pulled out the bottom dresser drawer and started pulling down my pants. My parents woke up and took me to the toilet. No clothes or furniture were damaged that night! But close call.
This is why I love this show.
I was sleepwalking through this scene because I was distracted over the fact that the lounge they are in was pretty much picked up piece by piece from IKEA except that glass table with the silver frame legs.
Lol..
The doctor is just pointing out how most are sleepwalking in and outside the House while giving their written consent for any operation, Quick Response code or shot.
4:16 Lactose intolerance isnt a milk allergy, its when you dont have the enzyme, Lactase, to break down Latose, milk sugar.
I noticed that, too. Wow, a medical faux pas on House. I don't know who I am anymore.
5:12 I must have seen this episode about 10 times, and I'm only just now getting this is a joke about Magic Johnson.

I love different camera work here
I used to sleepwalk when I was a child. I set off our house alarm opening a side door one time, and another time I almost peed on our sofa thinking it was the toilet. Luckily my mom was there to intervene lol 😆
They mention scleroderma in almost every episode, but it never turns out to be the right answer. The writers must really like the word “scleroderma.”
House is a poor quality doctor. He's always wrong until just before his patient dies.
I am now going to get some coffee. I am now going to Watch TV and now I'm going to switch off the Alarm clock. - Hey, did we get burgled last night , honey? Who left the TV on? Why is there coffee all over the Kitchen floor and who pissed on the Dog???!!
Sleepwalking doesn't kill? It can be more serious an dangerous than you realize.
My screen deadass went dark when Cuddy said blackouts a few seconds in
Me: hey what happened? You didn't show up for our first date?
Girl: um...I was sleepwalking when I said yes.
Me/girl same time: you saw that house episode too
The camera angles made this scene feel straight outta The office. Those close shaky camera shots, zoom ins.
They would not be able to monitor delta waves without an EEG. He should have been driving around with a bunch of diodes and sensors in his head. You also wouldn't be able to get an accurate reading if he's walking around
For me it’s that he just pulls the cap off like it’s nothing. And you’re telling me they didn’t glue the diodes down or wrap his head to keep him from dislodging them?
6:42 how does the corner-turn on that hallway work?
rofl... that's funny
It could be a Z shaped hallway, and the middle part of the Z just happens to be very short

Ad a lifelong sleepwalker, I'm terrified that one night I'm going to wake up behind the wheel of my car. Everyone else thinks it's funny but it really creeps me out. I do weird things
cool story bro
I usually go about what my usual routine would be if I was awake. So checking on my kids, making food, cleaning. If part of your regular routine is driving during the night then I'd be worried. If not, then I think you are safe 😁
2:13 me in every test

The fact Kumar is a character in this show , is hilarious, if you've ever seen Harold and Kumar movies 🤣
House: Do you have tiny testis?
Chris: *no.*
Best line ever.
I hate that these don’t ever show the full outcome
Basically that one Rick and morty episode
"Other than you don't want to play basketball with him" lmaoo
The EEG cap thing was so weird. They didn’t glue it down and they didn’t wrap it. The guy just pulled it off like a hat.
Best medical drama to date.
This House M.D. is addictive
Honestly, if they’d ever do a full exam and a real history they wouldn’t… have a show.
Except for the fact that everybody lies
Feel like I've seen this 1 but can't quite remember how it ends
I was sleepwalking when I was younger, around 9 years old. The only reason I know this is because I had found mud on my indoor shoes, something that wasn't there when I went to sleep. I had in my sleep put on my shoes, walked through my parents room to reach the hallway door, went down the stairs then unlocked the outside door and went outside to do something, before going back to bed, closing and locking the door behind me. I never knew how I didn't wake up my parents.
That time when you sleepwalked into giving someone your kidney.
And almost allowed to by world-class Doctors who knew it could be genetic.
twas the night before Christmas... and all through the house...
there was people there stirring.... with even the mouse.
"Small kidney, just means he won't pee as much. Great for road trips!"

Bone marrow biopsy, not lumbar puncture.
THIER LETTING HIM DRIVE HIS CAR AROUND WHILE HE'S SLEEPING???
House: His skin's darker, not lighter. As much fun as 20 questions tends to be, he's blowing blood out of every orifice, you think it just might be vascular?
Taub: Vasculitis?
House: If I had said it might be "vitas gerular," would you have said "Vitas Gerulaitis?"
This writing is just brilliant.
It's so unrealistic that you would sweat in the hospital. Most hospitals keep it at like 66° in there. I think that's like 19 degrees Celsius (for our eu friends)
