  • Some leftover and behind the scene shots from my latest project "Growth".
I tried my best to emulate a gritty 16mm film look but there's still much to improve. Let me know if you have any feedback:)
If you haven't noticed, there's a really annoying render glitch. I tried everything to get rid of it but it just wouldn't go away. First I exported from davinci resolve multiple times in UHD and there were multiple, even heavier glitches. So I had to export in Full HD and there still was this one glitch. If anyone has an idea what I can do to export in davinci resolve without glitches, please let me know!!
Shot on Fujifilm X-T3 with vintage Konica Lenses
    Graded with Filmconvert Nitrate
The music is a quick composition that I specifically made for this video. Feel free to ask me if you want to use it for your own project:)

That old lady reminds me of my grandmother who passed away in 2019 at the ripe old age of 90.

This looks great! I have a stack of Pentax Takumar's that I've been hanging onto for forever.
As for the glitches, my guess is that it might be hardware related? maybe killing off background processes and apps, might help. Maybe more ram or if there are any bottlenecks in your pipeline, like a slow HDD. Just guesses, as I havent owned DR long enough to know its quirks.

Thank you very much, also for the tips!:) And Pentax Takumars are very nice as well
Yeah it could very well be hardware related, I'll build a new pc anyways, hope it'll work better with that;)

The footage looks great but the perfs / sprocket holes are not correct for any type of film that was ever made.

Very impressed the dynamic range is great on XT3 and this vintage look is nice what focal lenths do you have and did you shoot in 10bit internal 4k?

yeah I shot 10bit internal, I mainly used a konica 28mm (without a speedbooster though, just a plain adapter), and did some shots with an old konica 50mm and an old zoom lens

i wanna buy my first cam, im between fuji xt3 or lumix g9, mainly for video, but also for photography. which is better? thanks

that's a bit hard to answer here in a few words... I own neither, I guess you should really think about which lenses you want to use and if they are for a MFT sensor (g9) or APS-C (XT3). I sold my Fuji, because I was annoyed with the crop factor on my vintage lenses and went full frame now with a panasonic s5. Hope that helps:)
