That should go for any game. There's been no benefit to pre-ordering anything in the last 20 years.

Pre-made characters have just never been appealing to me, so I couldn't play it. Removes the self immersion for me.
I can Imagine what you're trying to get at, with the 'its more impactful' If its a predefined character. But honestly, I think titles like Dragon age Origins disprove that. In it, you have a predefined start depending on your class but you can still look however you want and can actually make impactful desicions that matter. It is Just as emotional and immersive, If not more. Cause thats actually you in a way.
If its a predefined character and linear story, I might aswell just watch a movie.
The one game I do hope that will be given the green light is Eclipse. It really feels that the gaming graphics keeps getting better and better
Unfortunately, it's probably a long way away. David Cage, the director of Quantic Dream, has a very bad reputation and they're having a hard time finding enough people to work on the game.
It's always about the story and the gameplay, graphics only matter after those 2 pillars

I love the 1970s vibe they captured in the game. The main character looks like she walked right out of 1977.

You still (should) get a full experience with the base game. It’s just DLC you don’t get.

or spend just 20 for a monthly sub with it's little ubisoft+ thing. That's my plan, since I usually only play a game for like a month anyway til it's 100% and drop it. If I really love it I'll pick it up on sale.

In all seriousness, I spent $300 on a PlayStation VR to JUST play Squadrons and it was well worth it.
Taking control of an X-Wing, decking it out, looking behind you and seeing an Astro droid. It was well worth it.
I'm glad you found the VR version satisfying. The regular pc game version was not the spiritual successor to the X-Wing series that I expected.

I'm sure someone said it elsewhere in the comments but this game takes place between ESB and Return of the Jedi, not between ANH and ESB. Jabba has Han currently and there's a war of bounty hunters happening in this time period, Crimson Dawn is making a resurgence even!
They should make a VR game where we play through the Holiday Special. 👍🏼

I want to play as the grandpa Wookie.
I like that although they do include the well-trod and familiar things like Tatooine and the Hutt Cartel, they are also diving into less known areas like Kijimi, obscure places like Akiva, and entirely new places like Toshara. I think that's a pretty good way of doing it. It gives just enough familiarity for nostalgic fans while also providing some surprises. Looking forward to playing this (after waiting an appropriate amount of time for reviews, bug fixes and price drops).

I never implied those were bad games. I actually really enjoyed them. I just wasn’t a huge fan of most of what has been coming out of Star Wars lately asides from the games, so another good one is definitely welcome in my book

With the deconstruction of LucasArts & killed plans... especially that "adult dark underworld" game we were promised (code name: Star Wars 1313) and this feeling like a light version of it. I keep going back to Jedi & the love the prequels get. Not all Star Wars content is for me, and that is ok, and even though the new Ubisoft game will have "Adsassins' Creed" trademark Ubisoft elements, the attention to detail this team put in & making it feel like you're bargaining & getting by in the Underworld of Star Wars is dope & well worth price of admission. It won't be the X-Wing/TIE series or even Rebel Assault in terms of nostalgia factor (we accepted stuff that wouldn't fly today during the "drought" of content we have today), but I am excited based on a demo session & knowing how much people at Massive love Star Wars that worked on this. I believe.
Ubisoft will micro-transaction this game into oblivion.
Not as much as EA would though, I think Ubisoft is definitely an upgrade for EA especially when it comes to micro-transactions.

All the assassins creed games since at least Odyssey have had them.
ubisoft can make good games (the crew games for example) and as long as the microtransactions are just cosmetics idc.
what im really worried about is if this game is always online (wich im sure it will be) im worried they will do the same thing that they did with The Crew when they close the servers
Look at just the base line pricing, thats one red flag for me is these single player games with upgraded editions, not even waiting to release dlc months later after release

I got friends at Massive, so this was already a pre-order. I know how much love and care they put into this. Nothing from Massive has been a miss. They did one of the best Far Cry games of all time (3), and gave us the fantastic The Division games. The attention to detail they put into the Avatar game (though the story is meh) is mind boggling -- every type of plant and terrain has it's own sound so you can distinguish what terrain you're traveling through even if blind; that is insane & cray accessibility.
Ubisoft has some horrible practices (including the crunch they impose to hit release dates) but Massive as a studio is amazing.
The olny two best Far cry games 2 and 3 are the only best game ubisoft has made for storyline game most far cry game ok, meh and sucks which 4 5 6 new dawn primeal the olny the thing that far cry make ups for is the dlc where you as the past enemies that you killed like vaas, Joseph seed, and what the one guy killed i forgot his name
@@ChristianMyers-nt3wnbruh, the best far cry game is objectively FC4, FC2 is big and has nothing to do and no reason to traverse the massive open world, FC3 is overrated. The assassin's creed series up until Unity was really, really good and the Division games are the best MMOs, they are fun and not a boring drag like traditional MMOs are.
@@HockenheimIsMyDaddy i like far cry 2 the only annoying thing is that whoever helps you betrayed and blood Dimond currency 3 you olny get 3 to 10 per mission i olny play the far cry games for the storyline and why each faction to wants to kill each other in far cry 2 it doesn't even matter what faction you choose to because basically two of the faction including your buddies wants you dead while in far cry 3 you have three psychopath wants to kill you or sell you and your friends and family on the black market for money vaas who is most badass villains that farcry every made ether were were good ok meh or horrible first farcry villain suck game play is ok but good for 2001 game for far cry 2 i love the game play the movement which involved for future farcry game where farcry 3 adds stealth mechanics where you have to think about how complete your missions where you think about how you going to into a situation like go guns blazing or play smart where you stealth kill your enemies or sneak past them without altering to their present 2 and 3 where the golden age of farcry series then relax era where farcry 4 comes in where where the storytelling is good but gameplay is good but on the downfall of where farcry 5 and new dawn comes in where writing becomes lazy along with game play then the dark era of farcry comes into play with primal and farcry 6 wost storytelling and ok game play that all I'm saying about this series now farcry 7 will ether be the saving grace or the death of farcry series

Speaking of Star Wars games, you should get Star Wars Rebellion and/or Star Wars Outer Rim boardgames and record your sessions for us to watch and you can make your own Star Wars stories as you play. Or maybe the Star Wars RPG? You should be the GM! I don't watch those online RPG shows, but I haven't seen any Star Wars ones, I'd watch you and friends play that.

I really do hope it's good, but man that 10 minutes of gameplay was not that great. She has a thermal detonator blow up right behind her and she lives. But again I do hope it turns out to be good because I do want to play it.
Also thanks for buying the game to find out more lore. I really do love learning more about the star wars universe!
I thinl people that complain about the planets taking 5 minutes to traverse don't realize how big 5 minutes of traverse really is.
If they watch In A Violent Nature and look at the killer walking for 30 seconds, you get an idea of how long it is.
And yet Star Wars Galaxies came out 20 years ago and had planets that would take over 30 minutes to cross on a speeder, and hours on foot.
@@Plasmacore_V and Galsxies had little to do other than collect materials and take them to an outpost to craft a mcguffin, Galaxies wasn't as complex as you think buck.

I’m not even a gamer and I’m excited about this. From everything I’ve read, this is closer to how things were supposed to progress after Return of the Jedi: crime syndicates running the galaxy. Very exciting stuff!

I do wish it was Bioware--I really liked KOTOR series but especially their Mass Effect trilogy was (to me) phenomenal.

At this point I really only want to know 2 things. Is it going to be priced reasonably (As in under 40 bucks) and is it going to actually come out on steam in august or am I going to have to wait a year or 3 to actually play it?
And after a bit of research I see the awnser to both questions is no. So that totally ends my interest in this game. I am not going to but a console to play 1 game, neither am I going to the ubisoft version of origin.
I am just baffled at how that is the final design for the ship. As a creative, I know how many steps this would have gone through to be green lit. Amazing that the creative team could come up with something so bland and uninspired.

Ubisoft being slightly better than EA is the most accurate description of that company. It's been dying for a bit, but it hasn't abused us as much as EA has over the decades.
Also, so tired of seeing Tatooine and it's off brand siblings. If it's not Dune, I shouldn't be going back to the SAME dust ball that no one likes! Let's go back to Hoth, or Ryloth, or that one planet Nute Gunray is from. Or freaking Korriban! (It's not Moriban, btw) There's an entire galaxy out there to explore! I think this is the game "Mr.H reviews" spoke on the other day, and it wasn't too good. To each their own but he did show/point out some things that could be wrong. I realize it isn't out yet so hopefully they touch it upon those areas.
Hopefully the game will exceed our expectations because we really don't get Star Wars games that are focused on the criminal underworld in the galaxy. Also the reputation system seems a cardboard paste copy of the Honor System from Red Dead.

Ubisoft has a long record of big promises and more than half the time not delivering. This said, a game piloting a starship, running a smuggler ship, with gunslinger action sounds appealing. If it's like AC Black flag, but with Star Wars skin and lore, I will give it a look at.
Can we bully Bethesda into making a SW game. I feel like they would do right by the lore. Won’t have all the micro-transactions.

@@GenerationTech Yeah, I'm not really sure why anyone is all that surprised that a video game set in a historical period takes liberties with historical accuracy -- it's a video game where you perform superhuman feats and are shrouded by a Cool Factor that's dialed up to 12. It's purely designed for entertainment for the consumer and revenue for the publisher, not as an accurate and educational historical recreation.

We haven’t seen much of this one albeit but she looks pretty uninspiring. If you see an explosion and large fire after hearing blastifier what do you ?
1 look around for a moment without drawing weapon because that just happens and if you don't see anything that was nothing?
2 draw your weapon and search the area?
1 is Star Wars outlaws AI detecting and reacting and 2 is star citizen AI detecting and reacting
Star Wars outlaws is 70$ and no real freedom and it is solo only
star citizen is 56$ and you're free to be what you want to be and you can play with your friends BUT the only question is can your PC handle star citizen
it does look like a good game for a bottom of the bin 10$ Christmas sale. no force powers is pointless for me in the terms of star wars because at that point why don't I just play one of the billion other games with guns.

It does look interesting and is definitely something I was interested in, but the devs have clearly stated the game is not for white people. I would not want to insult them, so I will not buy or play it. Most people think Star Wars Outlaws has graphics that look like they came 20 years ago. Also it has less playable worlds than KOTOR 1! Also Ubisoft wants 120 dollars for it so yeah I am going to pass and I think it'll be a flop on the same level as ET video game!

There’s one single mission with him and ND that’s locked, but those kinds of missions are usually released on Uplay to be bought with currency earned in game and are honestly pretty lame
Jabba is still one of the 5 main crime bosses of the game and is gonna play his part in the main story
