Crosstrek 2024: How to Replace License Plate Lights with LEDs

- This is the tutorial of how to replace license plate lights with LEDs for Subaru Crosstrek 2024.
The instruction on the menu says push the lights to the outside (away from the center of the badge) and then pull to remove the lights, however, we had problem doing so like many others did, so we found a better to remove the light by removing the inner panel.
The LED set for the interior lights + license plate light costs ~$9 (USD) from AliExpress, I will not post the link but you can search for it, or you can opt for "better" branded LEDs on Amazon that costs more than $30.
This video just came in time. I had tried to push the light from center to outside for over 10 times but no luck at all. Your approach worked for me. Many thanks!

How did you remove it so easy? I've been pushing it but it won't move upward
Thanks for this video! The instructions in the owner's manual say to push the housing inwards but they just wouldn't budge. Moving the clip from the inside did the trick. 👍

@@jiataihan it's worth the $40 for the part, the car should have came with it. it's a nice light, I'm surprised they didn't try to sell it for $100+
@@shaneb395 Great to know! I will definitely check that out, but honestly the car market in US is crazy, it's 2024 I'm so dissapointed to see there are still new cars with halogen lights.
