Changes 2-5 are what we hear part of the song and that is the part which normally would strike the hour. These changes happen over the course of an hour and it sounds nice.
I guess you could say that. It would have most likely been modulators if the poles were different. The poles were made for ATI’s and putting a DSA was the easiest way to go
The programmer of the siren can choose what each switch does and can program in custom tones, this is not originally programmed into the UV but the programmer imported it.
I can explain There is a software called FSPware that has something called a tone loader In the tone loader you can write custom tones and pitches to make it sound the way you want
Almost every siren sounds different. They use the same tone for testing and emergencies. Some are thunderbolt tone and run different "chopper" levels and some are 2T22 tone.
Don’t think I didn’t ask that question, the reason they are DSA’s was because they are ATI poles and modulators cannot be placed on top of them, the only easy option was to go with DSA’s.
Ahh okay. I live in the UK and there are only 2 UltraVoice systems that I know of over here so I don’t know too much about them; doesn’t stop them being my favourite though lol
I wonder if there will ever be a day when we regret getting rid of mechanical air driven sirens. So many things can fail on the new "all electronic" ones.
Good riddance to the ATIs. Even if they're not really the worst thing in the world, I still think FS is better. Also this chime is a bit different than the one I'm used to on the dual-toned FS DSAs.
@@MrSpace008Yes it is the Westminister chimes have 5 changes 2-5 is what sounds on the hour and is followed by the hour strike. What we hear at 6am is “Changes” 4 and 5
I don't know why, but when all the relays click when the switch is pressed, it sounds really satisfying.
This sounds so much better than on an EOWS tbh

Carillion de Westminster - Probably Louis Vierne's most famous 4 note combination. Now immortalized via siren.

Siratone Chimes sounded awesome!

I miss the old 16S dual tone chimes. I wish they'd bring it back on newer models.
Thinking of heading to Texas next year....
Good time to record sirens eh?

So these are basically modulators with the way they are positioned
I guess you could say that. It would have most likely been modulators if the poles were different. The poles were made for ATI’s and putting a DSA was the easiest way to go
@@NTXstorms oh I didn’t know they reused the same mounts. Makes sense
They don’t use the same mounts from the factory or whatever, but they can mount to basically anything, including an ATI Mount

I love this tone! How long has that been a thing on UV?

@Jd Yes
There is a video of a UV playing whelen Airhorn ua-cam.com/video/Grvl2F4EqKw/v-deo.html&list=
If I recall a fellow siren enthusiast synthesized the tone set to be exactly like the siratone version for use on newer federal signal products.
Yep, those are the ones he made that are loaded onto the UV
How did you get access to the controls
Is there any site or video that describes how FS was able to make a Ultravoice controller sound like Siratone sounds?
Send Goddard Enterprises an email for that information.
I can explain

I’m planning on making a video on UV tone customization and programming soon
Dear Fnaf players this is not the chime from Fnaf. Scott Cawthon Just happened to use Westminster chimes as the alarm chimes.
Yes
Nice video!
Please, fill me in here because I am not a member of the siren community... What exactly are these chimes, and what is their purpose?
It’s a function used to do an audible test in a way that doesn’t cause mass panic
That was actually very beautiful 💖

Agreed beautiful
Set speed to 0.75. It sounds better
Sooo do they use this tone when they actually test them or what tone do they use for Testing
Almost every siren sounds different. They use the same tone for testing and emergencies. Some are thunderbolt tone and run different "chopper" levels and some are 2T22 tone.
@@NTXstorms that is very Interesting

@tbolt siren lover 1003 Yeah
@Isaac Tan Uh what
A very nice video!
While the 13th segment isn't quite right I still like the whole chime a lot.
Yeah, they used a 5th instead of a minor 3rd, like the older EOWS chimes.
It was a programming error
The issue was fixed a long time ago
I don't get why they install DSAs like this, surely it would be better and cheaper to put a Modulator up?
Don’t think I didn’t ask that question, the reason they are DSA’s was because they are ATI poles and modulators cannot be placed on top of them, the only easy option was to go with DSA’s.

Yeah the tone is steady for one, and for two the last measure's first note is a 5th, and not a minor 3rd like the older chimes.
ATI’s aren’t the worst, it’s the tones I don’t like, they are just beeps and they are quiet, but the 16R is actually kind of loud
@@dylanjb4065 ATI is the worst as some do the censor bleep or a steady 590 or 580hz bleep
