I’m from landscape architecture background and just started a job in a fintech as analyst with a 6-month coursera course and UA-cam videos. Don’t give up guys 💪 keep on working on your projects and keep on applying
This is awesome, congrats! Goes to show how possible the self-taught path is nowadays!!
Congratulations and that is great to hear because i have also started that 6 months Google Data Analytics Course on Coursera. Its a confidence booster for me
what do you basically as a analyst, i quit that just because felt like more application based you know like having complete destruction if make a mistake
Level 2 myself. Going through ZtM's Python course and Replit's 100 days of Python challenge (now on day 79!). I am eager to keep learning, just life with a toddler making it slower than I'd like. When I started I instantly got the gamification reward feeling you have mentioned, so I haven't minded ignoring my PlayStation :D
I'm in level 2. Just as you said, it's kinda hard to break through, as it's more about confidence.
It has been two months already since I decided to switch careers from mechanical engineering to software engineering. I started with Python ( I am familiar with it since uni though). Then I learned HTML, CSS, and now Django. I took so many lessons, and CS50 was among them (it was thanks to it I stumbled into your channel btw).
But I'm stuck now. I am unsure if what I have learned so far is enough to apply for jobs and what kind of projects I should do. :(
Great content Tom, keep it up!!
I am level 2, I spent the last month and a half using an coding app on my phone to take baby steps to learn the concepts and I just completed it.
Now I started cs50 like you suggested and WOW it's like being pushed in the deep end at a pool, I'm glad I did the baby steps before because I would have definitely been overwhelmed.
I'm almost done with the last project of the lecture 0, just gotta keep grinding and learning
Sounds great, yes CS50 will kick your ass but it will push you forward so much!
Also love how regularly u have been uploading I literally give up once everyday and then UA-cam suggests me one of ur videos and then I am back at it... Like today I watched ur maths video related to computer science... Please keep posting otherwise I might stop coding... As dramatic as that sounds... Sry no pressure 😖😍😍

3 weeks into my java internship. For now, it's really going well. I did my first feature before it was expected and 90% of it I did on my own. My mentor helped when I eas stuck. I'm so excited. I like it more than I was expecting. I had a really difficult time with getting my first experience. But it was worth, it's better that I missed a couple of opportunities before, because this company is so much better than the previous with which I have had an interviews.
What was the method you used to find and land the internship? Also, are you in university at the moment and did that affect your options?
What's the phase where you learn to code in Unity to make games only to realize that all the well paying jobs are outside of gaming and require a whole bunch of stuff you never even heard of.
Thank you Tuomas,
Your content is Great,
Keep rocking insh'Allah
Can we say I am at 1.5? I've started learning Python, JavaScript and C# at different points. I'm pretty decent at these, but I have no idea what I would like to do or what I can do with these besides data science and web developer. Any other ideas? Side note, the level 1 has been my struggle for a while.
Just started learning Python last week. Been coding in R for last 4 years. Love your content brother.
Keep up the good work!
@@awful999 not quite. I work in financial analysis but have that option down the line....
Hi,should i start learning js after i complete my python course?
Edit: or should i continue with python?
okay! but i am so curious whats ur watch brand is? can you please tell🚶♂
Incredible information, i don't know which stage i am probably stage 1 or 2. I did some freeCodeCamp got stuck at intermediate algorithms i did not know what do, i watched some of your videos about DSA and i am currently watching ZTM DSA + Algorithms, although i did some code challenges on codewars. Since you know more about me on coding it's bad that i want to learn everything for example basics and others stuff then i want to apply it in the projects or i should apply it now and be more comfortable later ? Anyways it's hard and i am interested to learn it staying consistent as much as possible. Thank you very much about this content !
You inspired me to become a self made coder. But theres one problem that always hold me back. Im thinking on how i could make money while i code. Could you please share your thoughts on this. Im pretty sure that most of us wonder the same
I'm 14 and I'm on level 2, I don't want to go to level 3 yet as I'm just a 14 year old kid. I am currently learning Java, JavaScript and Python.
Hi Thomas, how long did it take you to study from scratch and finish the "OSSU" course in order to get the job you have right now?
Hope you'll reply,thanks :)
im deffo level 2. btw what site do you have that gives basic programs for people to practice building that you recommend
I am in process of learning programming. Do you think gpt3 AI will take over coding or affect programming as career?
Thanks for the videos mate.
I'm an economic graduate student but I don't even like it. After doing some different jobs i finally decided to choose software engineering as a career. Thanks to your content which helped me clear my thoughts and make up my mind.
I am at level 1 and using coursera to learn python and had some javascript at one point in school but I forget much of it.
Hello, one question as I won't be able to join the live stream on the 8th December.
Is it possible to work in London as a European for a Junior Ios developer? Regarding the Brexit situation, it was possible before, what about now? I think as a Lead or Senior it's OK, but not Junior with no experience. Any feedback from around you? Thanks
Hey ! I have started my journey of full stack web developer with the course of udemy by angela yu so is there any advice you can give me
Your videos are quite good.
You motivate me every day 😌
i want to start learn programming can i learn ios and swift and get job than learn data structure and algorithm after get the job?
I am planning to start learning on programming. But I started from the scratch.
Am at level 2 and going strong💪 someday...
Question - should I take an unpaid/low paying frontend dev internship while learning dsa and also grinding leetcode or should I just focus on leetcode? I am currently at the stage where I cannot solve medium leetcode smoothly except like a few questions 😇
Still level 1, starting to familiarize html and css
The best place to start in my opinion. You can actually see your progress unlike starting with a programming language. Afterwards, learn JavaScript, then a front end framework like angular or react, then sql and backend with node.
Less learning and more confidence is what I need
The more I learn, the more I realise it’s all about confidence - if you have confidence in your ability to learn, you will find a way to learn
@@InternetMadeCoder true, I graduated from the University last week, electrical and electronic engineering, I want to be a good backend dev with python, haven't been stable with jobs just freelance, but I'm a graduate now, and the reality is, I need to get a job right now
Good information

Please, make a vid about your English learning way. Thanks in advance)
Currently in level 1.
I had to downgrade though, wasted a lot of time learning multiple languages and courses.
I now know better.
Currently taking Harvard's CS50 course. It's a bit challenging (I've only ever done HTML back in the MySpace days 😂), but I'm loving it!
I am a hello world Programmer.
Currently on the Odin Project
