I remember Goshen. It was a place that the Israelites settled in Egypt.

That's certainly true. During the time that Joseph was viceroy of Egypt, Israel settled in Egypt, in the province of Goshen. They lived here for about 400 years and were then delivered from Egypt by God because they ultimately had to do slave labor for the Egyptians. God had also promised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that His people would receive Canaan as a land.
