Baran deserves an award for this role. I haven't seen anyone so skilfully portraying a Pathan character. Method acting at its best. The way he speaks, the way he acts, the way he sits down on the floor and the way he doesn't look in the eye, his long bangs, the chitrali patti, the mannerism. Everything is spot on for an Afghan Pathan Mahajar role.
Baran and Shamim's character deserve an Oscar for their acting. The way shamim was crying while talking about Barbeena to Haji sahb was amazingly beautiful scene ever played by Nadia Afghan. Amazing. Waoooooooo

I saw Sabeena in 'Tere bin' and didn't like her in that drama, now I think it was a ridiculous drama and didn't do anything for her talent. In 'kabli pulao' her talent really came out and she gave her best, the drama itself is really well directed and written other drama cast did very well also.
That relaxed smile on barbeena's face after he hands over the plate and his assurance of love towards her through those silence, speaks volumes of standing beside each other for better and for worse.. True love conquers 😊 Brilliant endinggggg... 😊
Since 2003 I never watched Pakistani dramas except “meri zaat zara e benishan” and “Khuda aur Mohabat “ its almost 20 years ! Last week I felt to watch classic Pakistani dramas, so I was scrolling through UA-cam and found this drama, I watched first episode and the watched all in just two days non stop 😊 and was eagerly waiting for the last one ! Very pure drama with incredible direction and great acting! Well done to all… I am now Haji Sab and looking for my Barbeena 😂
I’m speechless it was an amazing drama… I finished it by watching it non stop for 2 days. As an Afghan, I loved all the characters and the directors really pointed out the good and bad in both of our cultures. We have got to learn to change for the better. Haji sb and Barberba made me believe in real love. ❤️
I loved Baraan's character. He is a natural and the way he bonds with the Haji family is incredible. The end was predictable and there were no surprises. As an audience, it was difficult to decide who Barbeena should end up with. I feel so sorry and sad for Baraan. He didn't deserve the rejection he gets that also from his wife. Pethaps he should have found someone too towards the end. He definitely deserves an award for his incredible acting. Hats off to him. ❤
Great Ending: Moral of the story : Value your loved ones before you lose them. Losing someone makes you realize how important that someone was in your life. In this world of selfishness - Respect people around you who are "selfless" and "honest". Don't take them for granted. This in true sense should mean - Thanks giving practically to Allah's blessings. Allah has bestowed upon us a lot we need acknowledge and thank him every moment. Hence the practical manifestation of "Alhamdulilah" be ensured. Hope I tried to explain well. This is just my take from this.

Have not watched any Pakistani drama in 50 years or so. I stumbled upon this last episode accidentally and then watched a few older episodes. It is simply an amazing humanization of poor Afghan refugees. Congratulations to the writers, producers, and the rest of the team. It is too bad that they decided to end the series so quickly. Is it because of some pressure from the government which is expelling Afghan refugees? Bring it back, please.

Kabli Pilau is such a master piece after decades. It took us in 80's and 90's era where we had such classic dramas we can never forget and always enjoyed watching them. Full lessons, morals and ethics. Hats off to writer, director and whole team. Every character did their best and shines like stars. Haji Sahab, Barbeena, Shamim and Ghaffar were competing in every episode and then came Baraan who over shadowed everyone. His body language was louder than his words especially when he was angry on Haji after Barbeena left the house. He was so pissed off but at the same time controlling his anger and emotions while confrontig Haji Sahab. Simply beautiful and speechless. All the family members performances were like cherry on top too. 👏 Bravo!! whole team of Kabli Pilau.
The last scene break me to tears, the shocking smile on barbeena's face has no price. Everything about this drama is just over the top. I really want to stand and claps for the whole team of Kabli Pulao. ❤❤❤

Haji sahab performed his character well but my goodness , Barans acting skills have overshadowed Barbeena and Hajisahab in last few episodes ! What a class act ! Shamim's character is really strong. She waited for Mushtaq for her whole life, went through a turmoil getting to know about his marriage. That was such a shock that she makes unforgivable mistake that caused more distress and regret to her. Still her patience and understanding is truly exceptional. Acting is of course so fine. Her character takes unexpected turns chasing the colours of her own colourless life. She remained by haji's side in many shades. Each of them blended with love and loyalty embedded in pain and loneliness Hats off

One can always say that things like that don’t happen in our lives but everything in this play you could say it could happen just like that in our lives. Exactly how it should happen if it happens.

From the Ist episode in first scene where Haji sahab was eating kabli pulao to very last scene where he is selling it, I was extremely mesmerized by Mohammad Ehteshamudin. Although, all characters like barbeena, shamim, ghaffar, baran, aysha, are great but Haji Mushtaq is peculiar and favorite. Because it is difficult for us to accept older hero and when it comes to romance, no one can digest hero of older age. But this is the beauty of writer and the amazing skills of haji sahib that we have fallen for this hero and was hoping Barbina would end together with haji shb. Overall, great show, great acting, and great couple of Haji Mushtaq & Barbina ❤

I saw Sabeena in 'Tere bin' and didn't like her in that drama, now I think it was a ridiculous drama and didn't do anything for her talent. In 'kabli pulao' her talent really came out and she gave her best, the drama itself is really well directed and written other drama cast did very well also.

Since 2003 I never watched Pakistani dramas except “meri zaat zara e benishan” and “Khuda aur Mohabat “ its almost 20 years ! Last week I felt to watch classic Pakistani dramas, so I was scrolling through UA-cam and found this drama, I watched first episode and the watched all in just two days non stop 😊 and was eagerly waiting for the last one ! Very pure drama with incredible direction and great acting! Well done to all… I am now Haji Sab and looking for my Barbeena 😂

I’m speechless it was an amazing drama… I finished it by watching it non stop for 2 days. As an Afghan, I loved all the characters and the directors really pointed out the good and bad in both of our cultures. We have got to learn to change for the better. I loved Baraan's character. He is a natural and the way he bonds with the Haji family is incredible. The end was predictable and there were no surprises. As an audience, it was difficult to decide who Barbeena should end up with. I feel so sorry and sad for Baraan. He didn't deserve the rejection he gets that also from his wife. Pethaps he should have found someone too towards the end. He definitely deserves an award for his incredible acting. Hats off to him. ❤

Have not watched any Pakistani drama in 50 years or so. I stumbled upon this last episode accidentally and then watched a few older episodes. It is simply an amazing humanization of poor Afghan refugees. Congratulations to the writers, producers, and the rest of the team. It is too bad that they decided to end the series so quickly. Is it because of some pressure from the government which is expelling Afghan refugees? Bring it back, please.

Kabli Pilau is such a master piece after decades. It took us in 80's and 90's era where we had such classic dramas we can never forget and always enjoyed watching them. Full lessons, morals and ethics. Hats off to writer, director and whole team. Every character did their best and shines like stars. Haji Sahab, Barbeena, Shamim and Ghaffar were competing in every episode and then came Baraan who over shadowed everyone. His body language was louder than his words especially when he was angry on Haji after Barbeena left the house. He was so pissed off but at the same time controlling his anger and emotions while confrontig Haji Sahab. Simply beautiful and speechless.
All the family members performances were like cherry on top too.

Shamim's character is really strong. She waited for Mushtaq for her whole life, went through a turmoil getting to know about his marriage. That was such a shock that she makes unforgivable mistake that caused more distress and regret to her. Still her patience and understanding is truly exceptional. Acting is of course so fine. Her character takes unexpected turns chasing the colours of her own colourless life. She remained by haji's side in many shades. Each of them blended with love and loyalty embedded in pain and loneliness

From the Ist episode in first scene where Haji sahab was eating kabli pulao to very last scene where he is selling it, I was extremely mesmerized by Mohammad Ehteshamudin. Although, all characters like barbeena, shamim, ghaffar, baran, aysha, are great but Haji Mushtaq is peculiar and favorite. Because it is difficult for us to accept older hero and when it comes to romance, no one can digest hero of older age. But this is the beauty of writer and the amazing skills of haji sahib that we have fallen for this hero and was hoping Barbina would end together with haji shb. Overall, great show, great acting, and great couple of Haji Mushtaq & Barbina ❤

I loved the Pathan angle too - how the two Afghan Pathans integrated into a Punjabi family was fascinating.
