Praying for Water on the Res, awesome Pole break down thanks you Pat and Deb x
Thank you, sir, for bringing to light Kit Carson's (and the US Gov't's) treatment of the Navajo people. The Truth shall set us free ... eventually. The cowgirl who crossed over sounds like a kindred spirit. I love animals, too.
Thank you ! Aways Rich with knowledge , experience and wisdom .
Thanks for another good video lesson. When I was a young Lieutenant in the Army in the 70s one of my best friends was a Navajo Lieutenant raised on the Rez. He and I were Combat Engineers and were at Ft. Belvour at the Engineer Officer Basic Course together. Later, at Ft. Bliss in the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, we were briefly together again. Anyway, I got to spend time visiting with him and his family a few times on leave at the Rez. His mother and two brothers still lived in a hogan and raised sheep and kept a few horses to tend to them. Water was always an issue, and they had to haul water in a pickup from a well several miles away. Hope the litigation over water rights works out for the Navajo. Sorry about the loss of your friend Rose in Wyoming. God’s blessings and comfort to you and all her friends and family.
Perfect for practice during our long winter
Wow. Excellent exercise. Thank you
Thank you for all of the teaching provided!

My cracker mare andi are starting this. Not as easy as he makes it look. Blessings on your healing.
Very sorry to hear about the loss of your Wyoming friend, it's been a tough year for a lot of us. Really appreciate your detailed instructions and dedication to the horse, horseman ship, and history! Glad to see you're getting around better. from San Jose, California
Always educational! Thanks!
Thank you for the videos. Really appreciate how your gelding will wait for the next “ask” while you are walking up. Then drop he’s head and think about it when you’re done. I on the other hand am rewinding. Then when the video is over drop my head. Thanks again to the both of you
Glad to see you moving better!
I needed to see this, many thanks.
I haven’t watched a video in a long time, here in northeastern Ohio.... I am a barometer with feet... I love your videos
Great video!
Chinao was coming along real smooth there after a bit - for me - back to the logs again, to have the horses and I do this better yet:) Glad your leg is healing, thanks to the photographer - Deb Have a good time:)
Thank you for the Calico Creek stable information as I am going trail riding that way and have been looking for a stable to spend some time at in June
Hello to your audience, please like the videos it helps push it along to others when you Like it ! Hello Pat n Deb! Great explanation! Glad to see you hip is getting better ! 🙌
Looks like a good technique for Western Dressage training as well. Strengthening muscles and improving coordination.
Hope you are feeling better 🙏
thanks for the comments on the Navajo Nation the last two presidents were opposing everything hope Biden has a better policy regarding Native rights.
Actually, President Obama did right by the Native people in many instances. His successor? Not so much. And the Biden Administration is off to a good start on that issue.
How's your hip doing? Better I hope. Love your videos thank you so much!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Chinaco reminds me of my first horse Fraulein...my dad bought her for me for 100.00
How’s your hip mate
He's turning from an young awkward teenager into an older awkward teenager...LOL He's going to be a handsome and confident young man when he gets to be about five or six.
Many people do not understand that each eye controls a different side of their brain... You need to teach BOTH sides of the brain by teaching both RIGHT and LEFTt eyes seperately... Eventually, both eyes and corresponding sides of the brain will 'come together'... I know, hard to comprehend, but that's why Chinaco (or any other horse) will do great going one way, then look like he's got brain damage going the opposite direction.
Allow me to correct myself I meant to say... POLES.
I enjoy all the information given as always. Quit with the political crap though.
@@PatnDebPuckett yea. There's other avenues for that. Have a good evening.
As a matter of fact, this venue has sparked discussion and some modest actions by our viewers. I never thought that talking about our fellow citizen’s access to water as political.
@@butchcotterell6647 Pat is a decorated Vietnam veteran so I suppose he has earned the right to say pretty much anything he likes in whatever avenue he pleases. Have a nice day...
I’m a decorated bet as well. However I don’t think it gives me the right to just say whatever I want. Him being a Vietnam Vet I’ll say the same thing I’ve said to the rest I’ve met. Thank you sir for leading the way for the rest of us.
I think it’s cruel to use those polls! Especially since you know it hurts them. Surely there’s got to be a better way.
It doesn't hurt them, their hooves are very hard. It just makes things a little uncomfortable and difficult. This is so they learn the easier option. Its the basis of all horse training.
If you never want to make a horse uncomfortable, then you'll never be able to train a horse to be a good horse, so its best for you and horses that you never own a horse
Crazy. How is bumping a hoof cruel. Have you seen horse run through a pasture or the woods. They always hit their hooves on stuff

@@cmykat7839 ... and I will pray for the horses being trained this way. 🙏🏼🐎🙏🏼
@@hindsfeet1955 Someone who never works with ropes and branding never truly understands the importance of this training for gaining control of the horse mind, so you can control his feet without micromanaging his mouth and head and neck. If you don’t like this because you don’t understand it,then move on to someone else and don’t badmouth the best information you will get from Pat for free. Keep up the good work Pat take your time and heal and sorry about your friend up north.
@@gallipolo I understand one thing for sure. There’s never a need to cause any sort of pain to a horse to get them to partner with us.
I've seen plenty of people talk about moving the forehand and not a single one has given such a gem of knowledge as you just did. What wisdom!
