Thank you so much for this. Wood Sage and Sea Salt is my favourite ever, and I've really struggled to find another scent with a similar profile. I will definitely check out some of these
I just got a bottle this week. I've worn it 3x. It's a fantastic scent! I liked it so much, I went online and ordered a 2nd bottle, The three times I've worn it, it lasted all day. I'm wearing it now and on hour 12...I put on 12 sprays. 3 on the chest, 3 around the neck, 3 on each arm. I can still smell it wafting from my chest. Maybe I just got lucky.
"Totally love Wood Sage & Sea Salt, it's my go-to scent! Excited to discover some new fragrances through your recommendations. Always on the lookout for something that can match its freshness and unique blend!
I totally agree with Sel Ocean..I have it and it’s one of my easy reach fragrances. There’s a duper house called “Jenny Glow” and their reiteration of WSSS is so on point, with better performance. You might want to try it out too. Also, I find Balade Sauvage in the same vein, reminded me of WSSS a lot. Thanks for this video! ❤
Also try Tory Burch Electric Sky. After staying at the Waldorf Astoria in Chicago I went on a wild goose chase trying to find the hotel lobby fragrance. It’s the most comforting scent. So these fragrances take me back to my stays at the Waldorf. Beautiful. 😊
Lovely list. If you like a strong rose and a marine note (aquatic/salty) Aquarose by Pearlescent (my scent of the day). Earthy/woody/green/ marine with some flowers (forgot the name) and a drydown with a hint of coconut water and vanilla try Paula's Ibiza by Loewe (my scent yesterday)😄
speaking of bal d'afrique... recently stumbled across someone recommending twist by miu miu as giving similar vibes (not a full on dupe) to bal d'afrique and IT DOES. my mind is blown lol 🤩 the opening is very similar but the dry down is where they differ a bit. twist is a bit more fruitier and sparkly while bal d'afrique is smoother and more vanilla-y (to my nose at least).
I just bought the Skylar discovery set and decided that Pink Canyon is my favourite from the set. However, Salt Air is also good and similar to Pink Canyon. On my skin, it develops sweeter and might be more similar to WS&SS.
One not mentioned here is Philosophy Pure Grace Summer Moments. It is discontinued/LE, but can be found at Winners etc. The scent is a bit sweeter, but has that same vibe.
I’ve never tried this scent. I’ve wanted to but the price/rumored lasting power keeps steering me away. If you have Target in your area, Finery’s Before the Rainbow is supposed to be a dupe. $28 USD for a 2 oz edp or less if you get it on a deal. They also have it in a mist.
Hi all good morning happy Wednesday morning and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
I never understood why Jo Malone fragrances are so expensive. They're only Eau de Toilette. They dont last, unless you have the candles. Thanks Yana. ❤❤
Definitely brand name and the fact that ppl keep buying them despite the price. I’d kill for EDP version of Wood Sage Sea Salt but I don’t know if the scent will be similar enough with more alcohol intensity
@WoodSageSeaSalt definitely paying for the name, as with all fine fragrances. I just know on me, personally, cologne or eau de toilette doesn't stay on very long.
cant wait for the bal d'afrique vid (: i got a full bottle recently and i swear it smells different from a sample i got. the liquid is greener too. not sure if it's actually different but i swear it is
Thanks Yana. I have an abiding love for WS&SS but an abundant loathing of its poor performance at that price point. I've got some perfumes to sample; yay! Hugs from Florida
I’m searching for a perfume that smells like the Hearth & Hand with Magnolia room spray in SALT. (It’s the Joanna & Chip Gaines line at Target) I’m addicted to this scent and I want to wear it!! I’m guessing it falls under the category of the scents mentioned in this video but I haven’t smelled any of these!! If anyone knows of a fragrance similar to the SALT spray, please let me know!!
Certainly be careful wearing fragrances when camping. Especially floral musks. You'll be a MAGNET for bugs. Speaking from experience! I know there's a tiny bit of evidence to suggest that mosquitos don't like citrus and black flies might not like vanilla, but I've yet to encounter a perfume that doesn't draw them in. And deer flies are my nemesis. Great incentive for a forest run though! 😂🌲🌲🏃♀🦟🪰🌲🌲
Hahaha! At one of my old jobs a bunch of the girls swore by some Avon lotion saying it is an amazing mosquito repellent. I never tried it myself and wish I could remember which one it was 😆
@@TheScented Just saw a vid from Daver (Fragrance Bros) about a fragrance from Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements called "Outdoorsman's Friend" that is made from all the oils that mosquitos apparently hate. He mentioned it smells like Lemon Pledge. 🤣 How great.
I am a magnet for bugs biting me! Usually from body lotion which. I use unscented now. Since I was a small child I would get bit. Siblings- no! Know. Anything I can use? No chemicals please! Love much.
@@TheScentedlol! Omg I know.. it’s Skin So Soft. My mom would literally douse me down before going outside in the summer. Talk about scent memory.. that’s my entire childhood 😂
Then you're one of the lucky ones for whom it lasts and that's wonderful. It's generally acknowledged to be a poor performing fragrance within the fragrance world.
It takes a truly knowledgeable “nose” to compile a list like this. Please make more, “If you love…” videos!
Thank you! Will do!
Thank you so much for this. Wood Sage and Sea Salt is my favourite ever, and I've really struggled to find another scent with a similar profile. I will definitely check out some of these
Jo Malone has a new body mist of Woodsage and Seasalt. It’s only $65, I actually like it better than the cologne.
Why do you like it better than the cologne, out of curiosity? I haven’t smelled the mist yet.
@@Gxport the mist is creamier than the cologne. Both are great, it’s just preference.
@@adebeautyboxthank you
Does it make the cologne last longer?
Does it last longer ?

Great options! I can't wait to see your alternatives to Bal d'Afrique, too! It's my signature scent, and I'm on a hunt for something similar.
I'll have that one out towards the end of the month 🥰

I've tried salt air but on my skin it went overwhelmingly salty :(
@@TheScented I can't even smell the salt on my skin. I can with Pink Canyon though.
Do you have recommendation for fragrances that have similar vibes of JM English Pear & Freesia?
Lavande in Love is SOO good! I love it so much!
One not mentioned here is Philosophy Pure Grace Summer Moments. It is discontinued/LE, but can be found at Winners etc. The scent is a bit sweeter, but has that same vibe.
I'll keep an eye out for that one!
Will you do a video on the top 5-10 fragrances you would keep from your collection if you could only keep your favorites 😊
Definitely! It'll be more like 20 though, realistically 🤭

Not true. JM has some intense colognes that last at least 72 hours. In fact after washing your clothes the smell persists
@oluwaseyia8548 good to know, thank you. I've had a few of her scents, and they don't stay with me.
cant wait for the bal d'afrique vid (: i got a full bottle recently and i swear it smells different from a sample i got. the liquid is greener too. not sure if it's actually different but i swear it is
Hmm... Maybe a batch difference 🤔
You read my mind. I was thinking of trying wood sage and sea salt, but didn't want to pay that much money for a cologne concentration.
Thanks Yana. I have an abiding love for WS&SS but an abundant loathing of its poor performance at that price point. I've got some perfumes to sample; yay! Hugs from Florida
Do you have experience with Wood Sage Sea Salt Hand Lotion?
I heard it’s decent but I’m curious about the scent longevity of the lotion if you know
I bought perfume parlour WS & SS clone and it’s pretty good
Awesome review liked and subscribed!!!

Omg can you please make one for Mon Guerlain? Thank you so much!
Can you do a budget friendly perfume video? Please I wish I could afford some of these.
A few of these are quite affordable but I will be doing an updated affordable fragrances video soon :)
“Woody sage” from dossier is identical. It also lasts me 7+ hours.
Surprisingly it does last long. You have to spray it 3-4times on the same spot.
Arizona bloom by floral street, not aquatic but a coconutty, desert fig with salt
can you do this with crystal noir? I cannot find anything like it
There is one very very close from JM WSSS is Burberry woman sport.. even better though ❤❤❤

I wish!
Thanks a lot 🎉🎉🎉
Is all this for Women oder Men?
Both, but some are slightly more feminine or masculine leaning. I'd say MAC turquatic and Sel Ocean are feminine and the rest are perfectly unisex

香りは素晴らしいと思うのですが
あまりにも薄い。

I blind bought Wood Sage & Sea Salt, it's not good.
