I knit for very few people. My son, my daughter, and my dad. If anyone else gets anything, they're lucky. I don't make my happy place stressful.
That's a great way to put that.- we should all remember to keep our happy places happy.
Love your halibut sweater - who would have thought halibut could be so cute. That gold Noro yarn is going to make a lovely top.
Thanks for preserving with this podcast despite technical troubles. You are like a breath of fresh air, renewing my enthusiasm when my knitting is reluctant to come off the needles as quickly as I would like. Love all your projects and the critique of patterns and yarn.
Thank you so much :) That really means a lot!
Congratulations on 1000 subscribers!! I enjoy watching your podcast. I especially like your finished objects!
Thank you so much!
Congratulations on having so many subscribers! LOVE your Halibut Pullover, especially the color choices! 💕
Thank you so much!!
I'm glad I found your podcast. I'm enjoying your content. Congrats on your followers!
Thank you!
Congratulations on the growth of your channel! I always like your company while knitting :-)
Thank you ❤️ I'm glad to keep you company!
congratulations on your 1000+ subscribers. I enjoy seeing all your projects.
Thank you so much!
Congratulations on 1000+ subscribers.
I think the Zweig sweater is going to look great in those greens. Very inspiring!
Thank you! I was a little worried after I bought it that the greens were going to be too earthy against that dark gray but I think it's going to work out pretty well.
Congratulations for the first1000!! Nice to see your wonderful works! Greetings from Split Croatia!🎄🧶🧶🍀
I just looked a picture of your town and it's gorgeous! Soak up some coastal sunshine for me!
☺️ sorry to tell you that is was quite gloomy and rainy period, but not complaining for it as we could take a swimm still in the first days of november (though my last swimm was in the second half of october, in november we were occupied by picking olives).... We always complain for the weather (too sunny, too hot, too cold, too cloudy, too windy...), but I like when seasons make their changes through the year... byee! 🎄☃️🧶
Congratulations! Love your podcast!
Thank you so much!
Your Halibut sweater turned out beautifully! It looks great on you!
I hear you on feeling like a knitting machine around the holidays. Last year I was up until 1 in the morning Christmas Eve finishing up a hat to gift that next morning! This year I knit for a handful of family members and thankfully just finished up!
Merry Christmas!
OMG! At least you got it finished lol.
Congratulations on 1000 subscribers! That's awesome! Great giveaway! Your sweaters are stunning! Merry Christmas!! Hey from Hiddenite North Carolina!!💜💚🌻🌻
Merry Christmas! What a cool name for a town!!
Congratulations on 1000🎉 thank you for sharing your beautiful knitting 🧶 Merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too!
I love the pullover you knitted and I am glad your channel is getting more subscribers.
Thank you! 😊
So glad I found your channel. Love your genuine attitude and presentation. As far as gift knitting, I work on various projects throughout the year instead of waiting to start close to the holidays.
Good on you for planning ahead! I say I’m going to do that every year and I either don’t get around to it or get sucked into new patterns that come out closer to the holidays lol
Congratulations on your 1st 1k! 🎉🎉Merry Christmas! 🎅
Thank you! You too!
Your Halibut looks beautiful on you! I hope your friend loves the Ranunculus - it looks great!
Thank you so much!!
Sounds like ideal time for knitting! Merry Xmas
Merry Christmas to you too!
You have quite a list going there! Remember, you said no stress? Hope you have a great holiday!
No kidding lol. I hope you have a great holiday, too!
Self-imposed gift knit stress is tough! I make myself crazy every year doing it-almost always for people who don’t appreciate the hand-knits for the time-investment that they are. This year I did much better I only knit a few very small items for people I was pretty sure would actually appreciate them (or at least understand how much time and effort it took and feel very loved). I really wanted to knit something for each of my kids, but decided to sew them some sweatshirts instead-and the same for my BFF and her kiddos. I still have a few things to finish this week, but I’m glad I didn’t shoot for the moon for once. Though I must say, I’m super impressed with your generosity to knit so much for others and your speed to do so AND find the time to record a podcast 👏👏👏. Merry Christmas, everyone!
Hand made sweatshirts sound awesome! I hope everyone loved them!
They actually did! And they were surprisingly impressed that I sewed them 😂 But they’ve worn them everyday since Christmas, so a definite win. Your Ghost Horses sweater turned out so nice! I really want to knit one now-especially in those colours.
Lovely podcast! I lfeel your pain with the Christmas gift knitting. My list is so huge. I found some great easy projects to make, yet when I rush I make mistakes and then theres the changing my mind on the yarn I used and making a bad choice and then having to start over! Yes! There is no time for that this time of year. Congrats on your sweater. It's georgeous!
There's nothing worse than having to rip back when you're on a tight schedule! Talk about piling on the stress!!!
I love your colors in the Ghost Horses sweater! Absolutely beautiful, lucky recipient
Thank you so much!
Congratulations on your growing channel. Your halibut sweater looks great 😊
Thank you!
I love your podcast. You are so down to earth and a lovely knitter.
Thank you!
Your sweater is beautiful!! I love fish! Could be because I'm a pieces💙
You are showing your talent right there girl...does look store bought.
I'm really enjoying your chats and your makes!
Thank you! I like the idea that the fish speaks to your inner pisces lol!
Uuuuh! The Zweig Pullover is also on my List of Projects I want to start soon! It's probably a bit to complicated for a newby like me but, oh well. Excited to see your Zweig Pullover come to life!
I don’t think it would be too bad. It looks like that band of color/texture would be the only time you’d really have to pay close attention to the pattern. Give it a try! If nothing else you can always frog and try again later.
@@bluemountainmakes True! Thats one of the nice things about knitting. Nothing lost but time spent learning
I’m glad your channel is doing so well! I appreciate your podcast and how realistic you are. I feel like I can relate to a lot of what you mention. Especially with gift knitting and not wanting to have knitting become stressful. Thankfully most of my gift knitting is done. Definitely planning on starting earlier next year though!
I'm glad you're almost finished! I hope you have some time to relax and enjoy the season ❤️
You're wearing your fish sweater🙂 I live in New Hampshire and would certainly rather have snow than ice! 🥶 Cute bag, pretty yarn for the giveaway. Merry Christmas! 🎄
Merry Christmas to you too! And fingers crossed you guys see more snow up there than we have so far this year!
UA-cam recommended your channel to me today, and I am glad it did! Your work is very beautiful! (and, I must compliment you on your hands and nails - they look so perfect😘)....
Thanks lol. My nails look great as long as I keep my hands moving 🤣
That bag is so cute!
I only gift knit for a few people each year to keep in manageable (I rotate). This is the first time I haven't been in school full time and I've been pleasantly surprised by how much easier it's been to stay on schedule. Normally I'm weaving in ends and blocking on Dec 24th lol
Love that Noro yarn, the color is beautiful.
I feel you on the last minute blocking lol. Rotating is a great idea - such a good way to spread the handmade love!
That moody yarn is lovely. It reminds me of a misty forest watercolor, and the purple is similar to one of my favorite paint colors "moonglow"!
Moonglow would have been a great name for that yarn, too! The color reminds me of a misty early morning on the lake - so pretty!
I'm catching up. Love your horses sweater! I have to make it, I'm a horse lover ❤️
Thanks! Always glad to hear from a fellow horse lover 😊
Great vid. ❤
Your halibut sweater looks great!!! I hope you can still use the Halloween swancho pattern for like a modified pillowcase or something. Good luck with the cold/snow. Drive safe.
Thank you!
Congrats on your reaching 1100! I love the little bag but I really love the yarn. I'm learning to knit and the only yarn I have is fingering wt, not good to learn on. Ive crocheted 46 yrs and I'm determined to learn to knit. I love your sweater! Gorgeous.
Wow! I can't imagine learning to knit on fingering weight! I think I stayed with worsted or heavy weight for years before I finally dipped my toes into the lighter weight pool. Kudos to you for persevering and welcome to the knitting world!
I enjoyed your podcast
Thank you❄
I just found you⛄☺
Welcome! Thanks for watching!
I love your sweater, it looks so warm and snuggly! And congrats on surpassing 1K subbies!
Thank you so much!!
I knit a top out of that noro yarn and it's great!
I'm glad to hear it knits up well!
I’m not commenting for the subscriber thing, but I just wanted to say hi! UA-cam recommended this video to me today and I got so excited to see you’re fairly local to me! We just moved to the Cville area this summer, so I guess we’re neighbors in yarn 🧶
Nice! If you haven't checked out Magpie Knits yet, you definitely should! It's on the downtown mall and they're all super sweet people that work there (and there's a section in the back that is all 50% off clearance yarns!!)
@@bluemountainmakes I have! I actually went there on my “scouting mission” before we moved here, and I picked up a skein of “souvenir” yarn that I need to knit into some socks…or fingerless gloves.
I hardly knit for others because they look at it as “ homemade is clearly crap”. So almost all is for me. ❤
Homemade is always superior! I'm glad you know your worth - you deserve to enjoy your hard work!
Now that your channel can be monetized, All of the things have to go wrong in one episode. I’m sorry that technology and equipment are making you work so hard.😐😐. Congrats!😁💗
Lol! Video podcasting has definitely been a bit of a learning curve but it's been really cool figuring out how to make the podcast better (and my life easier lol!).
Fyi, no links to the patterns
Thanks for the heads up! I'm working on getting those added today. My power went out when I went to edit the links that night (par for the course on this episode lol)
