I am so happy to see you being healthier, happy and paying attention to your physical/mental. So happy for you and students will really appreciate your honesty xx
Sorry I also forgot to say, many people have Weetabix as a healthy alternative to porridge. Controversial opinion but you have to put sugar otherwise like why are you even............eating it?!
I love this video, and I can relate to turning red so much when I run, I stopped running for a while because I got really self conscious but now I’ve realised like I can’t help it and I enjoy running so why stop
It’s exactly how I have my Weetabix too, except I have my banana separately and I usually add a bit of honey or sweetener to the ‘Weetabix porridge’. I love it and it’s one of my all time favourite breakfasts too!
On pre run snacks: I def recommend to eat something really sugary. Here's why: To keep it simple, there are technically 3 types of sugar that require different timespans to be digested. So, 1 is the simple type, found in things like chocolate or literally pure sugar. It tastes obviously really sweet when you eat it because your body needs literally no time to break the molecules that create the sweet taste. This type of sugar is usually almost turned into energy, therefore it is ideal for a quick energy boost. The second is consists of more complex sugar molecules that take more time to be digested and converted into energy. Usually found in fruits such as bananas which I'd say is the ideal snack before a run. The third type and most complex really needs a long time to be digested and is ideal to provide long term energy. It is found in carbs such as bread or pasta. It requires much more energy and time to be broken into smaller bits that are converted into energy, thus they should not be eaten before a run. TL;DR: Fruits, personally, bananas are the best choice, are ideal snack before running.
I've always grown up with weetabix, warm milk and a sprinkle of sugar 😍 I do love adding strawberries sometimes too. I can't stand normal porridge so this hits the spot
Totally get you on the overnight oats situation! I quite dislike the texture of cooked porridge but for me it’s the next best thing, I usually warm mine up and add a bit more milk and that usually fixes it :)
Please please do more of those! I’m starting uni and this has been so helpful for ideas and inspiration! I loved this thankyou so much so realistic! Xx
I warm up my cornflakes during the colder months. Cornflakes with almond milk & no sugar, not too much milk because I'm not a fan of milk in general, but warm cornflakes are nice too! x
honestly just make porridge in the morning, if you get quick/minute oats you can throw them in the microwave with some water and/or milk (or a combo) and it’s probably quicker than getting your overnight oats out and reheating them lol. also, god tier porridge topping is: banana (cooked in), topped with diced apple, raisins, and almond butter 😍
This is a bit late and I don't know if you'll see it but for your shoulders, I'd really recommend a "rice sock", if you have a microwave in the kitchen. (Fill up a sock with regular dry rice, tie it up, microwave it for a couple minutes, or until it's quite warm/hot to touch, and rest it on wherever is sore or tense.) It does wonders for my fussy neck or back and it's more ergonomic than a hot water bottle. Just make sure it's not scalding hot so you won't burn yourself. x
Personally find these really interesting for food Inspo. I've just started 1st and doing my best to eat balanced and healthy like back at home to keep from getting ill, so that I can do my best aty studies! Also, I have wheatabix most days, 2 with cold milk and chopped banana, and I do also like with warm milk tbf 😋
Would love a second one of these during term time since I really struggle with especially lunch during busy times. I basically snack peanuts, rice crackers and granola bars the whole day until I got time to eat dinner which is ridiculous but I really don't have the time to cook dueing lunch and I used to buy sth at uni but looks like my term is going to be all online once again🥲
My favorite Oat Recipe is 40g Oats, 10g Hemp Hearts, 10g Chia Seeds and then 150ml Vanilla Alpro Soy Milk + 120ml Alpro Soy Milk "normal" but mostly the protein one and add just a tiny bit of cinnamon, and then I let it heat on the stove put it in a bowl let it completely cool down and add some chocolate chips and strawberries, it has a more cakey consistency then 😅
I get so red when I run too! Bananas are supposed to be great before running (I really hate them so have a small bowl of porridge about an hour before!) 💓
have you tried regular stretching/ yoga for the tight shoulders? Idk helps a lot for me - also using a standing desk rather than sitting. And pls take a keep cup to pret😱
I‘m really jealous about the Weetabix-gang in the comment section. I love it but we don‘t have it in Germany, at least not in the small city where I live. Thanks for the video. Love watching what other people eat. Especially liked the curry.
I also can't make myself enjoy the texture of overnight oats. When I want to prepare breakfast the night before I make a big batch of baked oats and keep it in the fridge, then each morning I can quickly microwave some and have it with fruit and yoghurt.
Weetabix with hot milk is the only way, but don’t heat the Weetabix, just the milk, got it? Toppings, either just sweetener, or fruit. I also love the mini choc chip Weetabix with cold milk, it would probs also be good with hot milk to melt the choc! 💜
Hey Eve, I'm applying to Oxford in a couple of weeks and am trying to choose a college: I'm thinking about LMH or Magdalen. I am possibly leaning towards Magdalen at the minute but have heard that the hall food at Magdalen is less nice than at some other colleges, and that some of the kitchens aren't amazingly well equipped and really busy because they're shared by a huge amount of people. I was therefore wondering what the food situation at LMH is like? Is the hall food good and do all undergrads have access to kitchen facilities (and how well equipped are they?!)? Love ur videos :)
I grew up thinking that was the only way you eat Weetabix, was warmed up in the microwave. Not until recently that I've found out most people eat it cold...
Honestly, overnight oats are just one of those things that aren't for everyone. I had the same issue as you at first but over time I came to love them after I started adding Greek yogurt: try mixing in half as much Greek yogurt to the amount of milk you use. Makes it really creamy, adds more protein and somewhat fixes the texture issue. Then again it could also make it even worse depending on your preference so at the end of the day it might just not be for you and that's fine.
With your shoulders and head pain Eve - have you tried having a deep tissue massage? They can really help if done by someone who knows what they are doing!
@@RevisionWithEve haha 😂 I mean I haven't tried it with toppings yet, but on it's own I thought it was a bit too goo-y so I'll try again once I've bought bananas and it's cold outside
Ok I get hate for it every time, but if I’m having hot weetabix then it’s just boiled kettle water with a bit of sugar - honestly delicious and what I was brought up on 😂
I make my overnight oats with lots of seeds and nuts and dried fruit and I like to use rolled and steel cut oats because they hold their structure more than instant. I like the texture to be more like rice pudding than actual porrage
up until the age of 16 i use to eat all cereal warm and could never have any cereal cold, the worst thing was we didn't have a microwave so my mum had to heat a pan of milk every morning for me, wasn't until i slept over at my friends house when i realised this was weird and everyone ate their cereal cold.
Hi Eve :) Love the video - you're glowing! Slightly random question, but I'm thinking to do languages (German and ab initio Spanish!) at university next year, and I was wondering how you approach the literature? Do you read all/some texts in English as well as the original language? If not, how much of the book do you understand and how much do you 'skim'? How has this developed from first year through to now? Thanks x
Honestly it depends on how much time I have, usually I’ll read it in English if it’s a huge book to get a better understanding of the plot then when I come to study / revise it I read it in the language x
I have the same thing with overnight oats, I do like overnight chia seed pudding but then the packaging of my chiaseeds says 1-2 tablespoons per day and you eat so much more than that when you make chiaseed pudding sooo...
Eve I love your streams I am trying to lose weight thanks for this stream hope you get through it with your friends and family I am busking this week wish me luck you are a inspiration to me know thanks
I am so happy to see you being healthier, happy and paying attention to your physical/mental. So happy for you and students will really appreciate your honesty xx
Thank you so much! xx
UA-cam would be at a loss without you Eve. So grateful for your content.
thank you so much! xx
describing chocolate digestives as phenomenal is the most relatable thing ever!
Honestly warm weetabix with sugar is .. *chefs kiss*😍
You’re so right! 😍
Or maple syrup!
I have to ask, what are weetabix?
elise, Weetabix is a British, brown kind of flaky cereal. Many other countries have Weetabix adapted with different names!
Exactly just gotta embrace it x
The pure restraint in only having 1 or 2 digestives. Massive.
Hahahahahaha
It’s exactly how I have my Weetabix too, except I have my banana separately and I usually add a bit of honey or sweetener to the ‘Weetabix porridge’. I love it and it’s one of my all time favourite breakfasts too!

warm weetabix and overnight oats are my fave
Please please do more of those! I’m starting uni and this has been so helpful for ideas and inspiration! I loved this thankyou so much so realistic! Xx
Definitely would be great to see meals during the week!
if you wanted a really small pre run snack you could have dried fruit like cranberries or raisins, they’re a sugar boost without giving you a stich!
ooooh thank you x
I warm up my cornflakes during the colder months. Cornflakes with almond milk & no sugar, not too much milk because I'm not a fan of milk in general, but warm cornflakes are nice too! x

I grew up warming the milk first, adding the Weetabix chunks until I have a runny porridge texture and add some sugar for sweetness.
nice!
Omg I was told I was mad for believing that you were meant to eat weetabix warm! 😂😂😂 Blew my mind that people didn’t do that! xxx
omg me too!! glad I’m not the only one haha
It’s literally so good!!
Yes always warm weetabix 😍
Pre run snacks i either have a banana or apple about an hour before i go and i can still eat a breakfast when i get back.
Not even a uni student anymore and I loved every minute! xxx
so glad x

WEETABIX MUST BE WARM. plant milk and some sugar or a banana on top!! but i only heat the milk and mix it together at the end
yum!
I can’t believe people are blaming others for eating what they want 🤷🏼♂️ mind your plates people. I love your videos!🥰
hahaha you would be surprised! thank you x
In my house we used to have dry weetabix with crunchy peanut butter and banana!! Now I love them warm though like you have them but with hazelnut milk
Chocolate digestives definitely are 👌🏻 u should taste gluten free Tesco own brand there delicious honestly 1:50 for 12 biscuits ☺️🤤🤤😊
Thanks for the tip!

i've ordered a keep cup as i thought mine was still in storage at uni but someone's nicked it! it's not arrived yet though :(
If you get a tennis ball or a massage ball you can roll out the tension. I find it really helps
Thank you xx

on runs in the morning, i often eat a piece of toast or two before I go and then eat another breakfast when I get back ahaha
Best pre run snack is deffo a banana! And then Weetabix or oats after 😋
That’s what I tend to to for!
I've only ever had warm weetabix porridge! Definitely the way to go x
Can you please write the recipes for the curry meal? It looks so good 🥰🥰🥰🥰
it's in the description xx
I also can't make myself enjoy the texture of overnight oats. When I want to prepare breakfast the night before I make a big batch of baked oats and keep it in the fridge, then each morning I can quickly microwave some and have it with fruit and yoghurt.
Lmaoo your face when eating the overnight oats. Great video though really enjoyable, have a lovely week!

LMH hall food is v good for uni catering, and all accommodation has access to a kitchen with like an oven, fridge, hobs, microwave, etc
@@ljhb48 yep second that! great hall food and one of the only colleges where you will have a kitchen guaranteed for your whole degree!
10:24 it makes you really good at martial arts
I really enjoyed your vlog, thank you for sharing :) x
I always go red when exercising but I just started wearing a cap, game changing
Did I pause the video to make a cup of tea and get two milk chocolate digestives? Yes, yes I did. Great video Eve!
Hope you enjoyed it! xx
My brothers put chocolate spread on there weetabix
Thank you for putting the disclaimer in, sorry I want to watch, love yoy Eve, but not in the right headspace for this one 🥺❤️
No worries! hope you're ok gal x
I heat the milk in the cereal bowl for 2 minutes in a microwave and then add the weetabix

That’s so kind! Thank you so much 😅

i feel that tbh!
Weet-bix (Aussie here) with cold oat milk and brown sugar. Tastes like happiness.
yum!
I also heat my weetabix up too 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 And add a spoon of sugar
soooo yummy
I like to have a banana with some peanut butter as a pre-workout snack (obv only if you´re not allergic to peanuts)

my fave pre workout snack is a banana. it actually works wonders
okay immediately craving digestives now!! ❤️
Me watching eves breakfast as I’m sat with my weetabix and brew🤣
