A quick tip fold the top of the bag down a few inches before you put the food in. When done just unfold it no mess on the bag to hinder the seal
Nice unit. Quick tip for putting food into the bags is folding the first inch or so of the opening inside out so that way the sealed section doesn't get dirty. Makes it a lot faster than having to wipe off the inside of the bags over and over.
When putting any wet stuff in your bag, roll up the edge of the bag to prevent the edge that will be sealed from getting dirty. Fill all your bags. Then, when you have washed your hands, unroll your bags and vacuum seal them.
Great review. I have the same machine. It's a beast. Works great. Big upgrade from using a food saver. Everything looks commercially sealed, and says nice in my deep freezer.
Hey JOE! Perfect timing. I’ve been thinking about one of these
This is a good one buddy. 👍
I really like those Vevor units for the cost. Joe, low pressure does not actually heat the liquid to make it boil. Under Boyles law of partial pressures, the low the pressure, the lower the temperature at which water will "boil", not from the heat but from the low pressure. Same principal is what makes a freeze dryer work, but in conjunction with freezing (temp and pressure all interrelated in this effect)
You are correct. I was referring to the moisture inside the chamber vac. Once the pressure drops, the moisture in the air is boiled out. When I was a tech, you could actually see the steam being boiled out of a system under vacuum.👍
Great review Joe! I need to buy one of these!
Thank you.
I need one of these. I do the same when I have a lot of food leftover. Vacuum seal it, freeze it and reheat it in boiling water. But using a vacuum sealer always draws the juices up and sometimes past the sealing area. Gives me fits. When I get one of these, i'm making a ton of pemmican.
I've had a vacuum sealer for over 10 years.. and I'm just waiting for it to go belly up. I really like the looks of this one.
Can't beat it for the price. 👍
Thanks for reviewing this. 😎👍🍻
Thanks for watching
This channel probably has the least BS of any bbq channel honestly. You just tell us like it is. Thanks
Thank you👍
I bought one 6 months ago, coming from a commercial vesion from BassPro. This is easier, seals liquid, bags are cheaper and never wonder if the seal will hold.
The amount of food we threw out because of storage issues GONE! The external bags never seemed to seal when wet, always leaked air, 2 months later you could see freezer burn and that was sealing the bags twice.
This unit only has a single sealing bar that i can tell and selecting double doesnt make a difference.
Crank down the amout of time to vacuum softer items, cheese, bread, cookies.. or it will crush them... and yes, it will crush an empty coke can.
Nice review, Joe👍 Looks super handy😊
Thanks Bobbi!👍
Thanks Joe , I just got my delivered, FYI... Unit did not power up , notice the power leads to the switch were disconnected so i had to disassemble and connect
Great review Joe! Definitely a nice unit 🍻
Thanks Bat. 👍
Hey smokin Joe's love the food 🤤 , I noticed you packing up meat and thought I'd share that I roll the bag outwards so I don't get my juicy meat on the bags opening , I hope that helps you a lot and saves you wiping after putting your meat in 😊 , PS I really love your smoked sausage 😋 all of em none in particular
Good tip!
I want one now, not the chamber vac, but a bag of water from Joe's kitchen sink😂
🤣
Crazy guy you. 🤣
Put me down for some of that barbacoa!
I bought one about 6 months ago but haven't used it yet. Looking forward to getting back in the house to do some BBQ
Nice👍
I just got mine on Thursday!!
You can remove the tray at the bottom and make the chamber about 1” deeper.
I realized that after Rus Jones told me. 🤣 You're gonna love it
I have bought whole chickens before and used pleated bags with my vacuum sealer and it has worked for me. I decided to make a pleated bag and fill it with water to see if would seal in the chamber vac. This machine worked flawlessly on the pleated bag!!!!!
I can’t believe even with the added layers of plastic on the pleats that this worked.
Nice unit you got there Joe. That chamber vac looked good as well haha.
Hilarious
Wait a second, could I put let's say some fermented cabbage in the Mason jar and vac seal it or would it be better to do with the bags?
I have the made by meat oilless vac, I’ve seen you vacuum seal a whole brisket but most are to big to do so, so I guess the only option it yo separate the flat and point? Locally the smaller briskets seem to be obsolete 😢
I see that you also have the Meat Your Maker Chamber vac. How does this unit compare to that other one? Also.....what is the height of that unit at the tallest point? Id like to get one and keep it on the countertop, but it has to fit below my overhead cabinets.
Both are very similar. The Vevor does have the bag holder which I like but not 100% needed. The Vevor model is 15 1/2" tall. 👍
Nice. I am tired using the suction type sealers. This chamber type unit seems quite affordable.
Me too. I have a Cabellas model and it's okay at best. 👍
Chamber vacuums are the only way to go. Pay for themselves in bags very quickly. Make huge pots of chili, soups, stews and bag up. No liquid sucking into machine like vacuum dealers.
I have one, it's great for quick pickles, infused alcohol, marinating meats. One thing you did not mention is how heavy that sucker is..
It's heavy. 😁
Very heavy, my wife asked if I really needed the big one, duh.
After months of use how are you liking if sofar?
Still works great. 👍
I'd run the unsealed roll through your old Food Saver to do the initial bag prep seal. Looks to be a lot quicker than the chamber sealer.
I normally use the chamber vac bags that are sealed on one end but I was out. 👍
It would probably seal faster if you just take the seal time down to 1sec.
@@rotaryperfection I think the minimum is 15 seconds. I'll have to try that and come here and update you. 👍
Just did this on mine... 1 second works, to confirm.
@@watsonrk1 cool deal. 👍
Which chamber vac do you prefer the Meat chamber vac or Vevor chamber vac
Both are great but I love the MEAT oil less chamber vac.

Would there be a benefit of using this machine to marinate meat?
Big time. You could vacuum seal your marinated meat and grill in less than 30 minutes. The marinated penetrates the meat much faster. 👍
What's the biggest vaccum bag you can seal in that unit?
I believe the largest is a 10"x13" bag. The chamber is 14"x13.4". 👍
Do you have a MEAT company chamber vac? If you do could you do a comparison.
Yes I do. They're both very similar. 👍
What is the advantage of this machine, over let's say the Food Saver for $169 and MUCH less bulky than a chamber vac?
So I normally use the chamber vac bags that are already sealed on one end. I vacuum seal all of my sausages and it's super fast. These chamber vacs that have an oiled vacuum pump pull a really deep vacuum that guarantees there will be zero air/moisture inside the bag. The lifespan on this machine vs. The external ones is much greater too. The seal these units produce is also better so your bags don't leak and you can do so many more without burning them up like you will the external models. 👍
@@SmokinJoesPitBBQ Thank you Joe. I very much enjoy your videos.
And it seals liquid without making a mess
Can you fit a whole brisket in there?
If it's small enough yes.
Why can't you put liquid in a mason jar?
They use the same c9ntrol panel for the dual seal and singlenseal model, this is a single seal model, so choosing dual seal doesnt do anything different
If you have 20lbs of food take long time
Why do you fools press so hard on the lid when the instructions say not to daaaa!
Just to piss fools like you off.
Nice. Could you multiple ite,s, bags, mason jars at once if you used the same setting? Also, the bags we get are boiling water safe?
Yes and yes 👍
