Love the fluffy braid out Alisha. My friend friend recommended spraying my braids with a mixture of aloe ver gel, apple cider vinegar and water, it cuts down how much hair I shed and also helps remove any scalp buildup too when I go in for the wash. A twofer lol. Your hair is flourishing for sure 😍
Thank you for this video. I'm taking out my crochet twists today and was dreading it. It never occurred to me to cut the hair, I always take out the full thing. Is there a way to take down without cutting the hair so the hair can be reused? I had a really bad install only four days ago and it's all coming out...looking ratchet. so I want to try and fix it myself....since the salon is literally not willing to assist me.

So cutting the hair is easy and convenient but that means you have purchase hair each time you want it done. Was the hair inexpensive? Just wondering. I'm new to the braid world. Gettings my kinky twists installed in a fews just watching a few videos and some ideas.
Yes, the hair is fairly inexpensive. You do have to purchase new hair each time, but the hair growth from this type of protective style is so worth it.

May I ask why not detangle with an oil in your hair?
Lea D it all depends on how your hair feels after the braids. For some people it helps to detangle with oil and for some people it doesn’t. Just try it
