This is why we moved to Missouri and so many others are too.. bought a 1500 square foot 2 bedroom 2 bath for under a 150 thousand.. I love Cali but can't afford to live there.. great video guys 😊
We don't have a cup fee in NH. But a couple of stores have started charging the bag fee. The only time I get charged for a cup as if I'm asking for an extra cup for something but never for the beverage that I'm ordering. And that is highway robbery for the footlong sub and a drink!!! Woah. So glad you guys are having a great time!!
I work in upper management, in the quick service restaurant biz. Pretty soon, a lot fast food places will do rid of free refills, dine in. Most already charge for the cup with water.
Hey y'all!! Man, it is so ironic that you mentioned Subway because I picked up a Subway last night for dinner and I paid $24.81 for a sweet onion chicken teriyaki foot long meal 🤯!!! Blew my freaking mind!!!! I live in Seattle Washington and things here are also VERY VERY expensive!!! But anyway, you guys enjoy your vacation :)!! Peace out TROOOOOUTS!! (LOL)
1 foot long Black Forest ham and a 6” meatball sub cost my parents over $30….and we live a couple hours south of Seattle in a tiny little redneck town!!!
Cleveland started a bag fee in some places around covid. But most places in the suburbs have stopped it. Unless you go to Aldi’s to use their bags you have to pay for them
I’ve just ordered a subway and watching your video. It’s £13 for a foot long Philly cheese steak with all the toppings, a drink , crisps & a cookie! - Scotland
After my dad graduated college in 1962, he had the option of working in Texas or California. California paid better but the cost of living was insane and Texas was a better financial decision.
Health inspector usually wont let a emlpyee do refill at a fountain thats behind the counter they must get a new cup because of passing on germs. As for the serve yourself fountains like McDonald's, and gas stations. I don't like those because the rim of the drink cup touches The metal tab that trigger the drink to start pouring the beverage. 😅 Any way my two cents Lol
Welcome to my State Cali. Hope you're enjoying yourself. ❤ YES! The food here is tremendous. Me and my friends were just talking about that over lunch at the Veggie Grill. 2 MEALS 36.40 Food is TREMENDOUSLY HIGH. Gas is high as well. But the roads, Pot Holes where are you? Maybe in the hood
NJ banned plastic bags, so you bring your own bags.. grocery stores sell reusable bags for between $1 and $2 and disposable for .10 or .25 Visited San Diego in 2017, and there were charges for bags back then. I dont recall a cup fee, though.
And K&J you wont believe this but I have to door dash subway sometimes, on the app its $17.99 for a footlong, and after chips and a $4 pepsi plus tip, its $40 for a subway. I have to doordash while my wife's at work with the car sometimes, it's crazy out here in bay area.
Good Morning Family 🌞I live in Cali born and raise and 💚 it … yes it’s expensive but when we were working we made great money 🤩 and we live in the Bay Area…We are retired and we are doing ok but as people leave Cali to other States the cost of living goes up as well. There are pros and cons living in Cali but it’s my home and wouldn’t live any where else 😍😘🥰
I guessed close, my guess was $25. I live in New York and paid $14 for a 6 inch sweet onion chicken teriyaki the other day and added bacon. It’s crazy!
hey we had a bit of an issue at our mcdonalds here today. i ordered the newest item they just put out. The have limited time chilli shaker fries right now. IDK if its available for you guys but is for us right now here in Australia. First of all they short changed us. gave the wrong amount of change. It was 50c change they gave me 20c. So i had to amend that. Then when we get the order we notice there was no chilli on the fries. They gave us a shaker bag thing but with no chilli fries . They were just regular. And that was nearly $5. It was $4 and some change for a small bag of regular fries. No chilli shaker stuff on it or nothing. So that was a bummer. And i only ordered the fries just try them cuz my dad loves chilli. What a disappointment. :( 😥(Sad face) Wont be trying them again. Ps I also ordered a crispy chicken Caesar wrap. That thing was the most expensive thing of the order. About $16 AUD for a chicken Caesar wrap
We have had to pay for bags for a few years now . As far as coffee is concerned it’s generally around $6 Australian for a large . Prices have gone up all over the world we are all doing it tough these days. Not just the USA it’s worldwide.
Wow! So far, so good here in Arizona. Yes groceries have gone up as everywhere. I only buy things on sale. I don’t do fast food (or very, very rarely). I wanted to try a habit burger and it was delicious! $4.99 for a huge burger. No bag fees so far here or cup fees I don’t believe. I never buy drinks anyway. I just go home and have water. I, as usual, enjoy your videos. 😊. I just wish people would quit saying their political views on here. The felon for 2024? Geez…😂
I live in Palm Springs and I never heard of a cup charge. Maybe it’s only in Marin County. I was recently in Redondo Beach and the SFV and again no cup charge!
When testing this cup fee see if they charge you when you buy a starbie teuseable drink cup???? So far in Michigan only fees i have seen are cost for bags at Aldi’s.
I believe McDonald’s has a fountain system that when you press the small, medium, or large button the machine knows how much fluid needs to go in each cup, so if you bring a large cup and tell them u want a small and they charge u for a small the fountain is only gunna fill up what would equal a small. But to answer ur other question I know if they hand u a drink through the window even if you haven’t even drank out of it yet they are legally not allowed to let it come back through the window for health code reasons so I don’t know how the bring your own cup could even be an option. But I’m not sure if the rules still apply for doing that indoors at a restaurant because they allow u to get free refills on ur cups but they make u take ur own lid off cuz it’s unsanitary to touch someone else’s lid and straw after they already drank out of it. That’s what I learned from working at chick-fil-a in Texas many years ago but who know what they allow now 🤷🏻♀️
Maybe they will no longer provide straws to implement people using their own straws, or start using lids that starbucks has. They remind me of sippie cups but just make them for all cups.❤❤
Dang. Starbies is supposed to remake at minimum. I hate to waste, but get my drink right. I think ppl are stressed and a lot more folks have long Covid than we know. Also … I brought a personal cup (you get stars for it 🌟), homegirl dumped the drink out of the plastic cup into mine 😂. Why?!
Watching you for years and enjoying...Het how bout every now and then a celebrity in the back seat in the middle-chiming in...I think it would be fun...you're ready for prime time.
Yeah, I live in washington, and there is an 8 cent bag fee. That's fine cause it's no big deal to bring my own. But a cup fee is outrageous!! And 25cents is stupid!
I live in Cali! And literally last night I was searching for cheap homes out of Cali. 😪 before Gov. Newson raised the min wage to $20 for fast food workers ONLY, food prices were already rising. It's frustrating! I want to know Gov. Newsom logic, with all due respect! If I'm going to spend that much on fast food, I'd rather go to a decent restaurant.
So I tried this when it first came out the butterscotch crumbles are annoying only because I don't have the greatest of teeth but I hope they keep the butterscotch
Costs are rising everywhere but the west is by far, much worse than the east cost. I wouldn’t live in California if someone paid my bills and bought me a house. Spend some time in downtown LA, its a mindset in the whole state, check the rates of people relocating, you might be shocked. I know the hate is coming, but its all true
You guys could always buy your own straws which I have you know the ones that you could use over and over and over. They're either a metal or they're plastic
Newsome is testing to see if he can charge all Californians a 30 cents per mile fee for every mile we drive. Time to leave this state. Next up, how much can they charge us for the air we breathe? Great video, enjoy your trip,
I can understand the 25 cent water cup if the customer comes inside and ask for a water cup. We're I'm at they ask for water cups and get soda all the time we even tried giving them the cup with water in it and they go and pour the water out and get soda
Anyone who voted blue should not be complaining u wanted this it was warned this was going to happen gotta pay for the open border too how many a day ? Common sense 2+2=4 gas prices went up a week after he in office so thanks who voted blue now we all gotta pay the price !$$
I love the 🌟s! Wish they had a better way of doing it tho. The other day the worker at a drive through just grabbed my up. I wonder if she washed her hands or touched 💵. Have we learned nothing from the pandemic? lol. But man, I love those 🌟s!

Only Sprouts in AZ makes us pay for bags. But they are from Cali. A lot of restaurants started trying the paper straws. I don’t think many use them here any more
That’s so ridiculous. Consumer taxes are getting out of control. In chicago, there is a tax for bags. Not paying for bags…a tax on them. Passed on to people. We already pay taxes on food!
Omfg I'm so glad I don't live in Cali! 😂 I've traveled there and have loved it. But when I was there in 2016, we were charged for the bag at Burger King. And I was like whaaaaaaaaaaa??? 😂
Yes, California is very expensive. I'm here in Sacramento. Its crazy. When I retire, I'm out of here.
Good luck on your destination when you retire 😊
Same here Sacramento crazy prices everywhere

I live in Missouri too, and the inflation of rent and property taxes for buying has gone up SO much!
But I am so glad you found a nice home!!
I tried the Grandma McFlurry. I gave it a 8 out of 10

I'm in Canada.. we have the 25 cent cup charge and a 15 cent paper bag charge at fast food. We went to Subway recently and our bill was $32.00
Fellow Canadian here!! Canada is crazy for prices haha
Right!!!!!! And we get charged for sauces too lol 😊. 39 cents for mayo and .58 cents for bbq, sweet &sour ect
@@Canadianmom0826 oooooo I never get sauces so I’m not sure if that’s where I live yet I’m in Langley, Vancouver Canada
Newsome wants these fees to go up. They want rich or poor but no in between. Something is wrong with cali.
You have an air sign (libra) as governor with Capricorn moon. money and image but no action
Sounds like the start of socialism. This is what happens, government charges people more and more, nothing else is down but charging continues.
I was shocked at how soft they were able to get the butterscotch pieces. Kind of like a cookie crumble/candied pecan texture. It’s so good.
🎉🎉🎉now I want McDonald's
No bag fees or cup fees in Texas!
Shhhhh we don’t want them moving here.

There is a bag fee in Minneapolis 😊
A gas station called Wesco in Michigan charges .40 cents for just a cup. Aldis charges .10 cents a bag.
