There's more than one shop open on Sundays. There is a BILLA at Franz-Josefs Bahnhof that is open (often crowded but not nearly as bad as Praterstern), and there is a SPAR next to MQ (but very small and crowded), there is a BILLA at Westbahnhof, a small INTERSPAR at Wien Mitte, a BILLA in the 1st district close to Stephansplatz, and probably a few more.
on sundays there are many other stores landsraße spar pronto, hauptbahnhof , westbahnhif24/H der are a few 24 hour stores they are indeed expensive though :.)
Great and very informative video. Although as an Austrian I would say Billa is pricier than Spar. Billa is great for its special offers....like 2 plus 2 for free.
A little late to the party, but I'd like to add that you can buy basic stuff on sundays on every train station that has a store, but they are very limited in order what they are allowed to sell and also gas stations. Outside vienna stores might be open on sundays if it they are in a designated tourist zone. For example around the pretty lakes in Salzkammergut or Carinthia as well as around ski resorts the stores will regularly be open on sundays. Vienna, although very touristy, is not a designated tourist zone and thus the stores stay closed on sundays. About the stores, there is also Penny which is somewhere in the middle from price range as well as Dennys, which is focused on ecofriendly (thus pricier) and, especially on the countryside is also ADEG, which are very local bound stores.
Really really really thank you for your video it's very helpful for me ❤️again thanks❤❤... And please keep making these type of informative videos. If u find any more new things please share❤❤
Hello, could you possibly share your experience on how to do the immediate payments once reaching the airport for like Uber, SIM plan activation, and other online expenses.
There have been hundreds of videos about requirements for living in Austria. About living in Vienna, not Austria. Uber is always cheaper than taxis all over Europe.
Thanks for the informative video! It's really helpful. One question: what do we show as a proof of accomodation if we're planning to live in a WG subleased by someone?
Hi! Thanks for this very informative video. I have 2 questions: 1) If I arrive in Vienna on a Friday night, will I have to register by Monday or Tuesday? In other words, are these registration offices open over the weekends? 2) How should I book an Uber from the airport, since my native simcard would not be working? Is there a dedicated Uber counter inside or outside the airport? Would be grateful for the clarifications. Thanks in advance.
Hai, regarding registering yourself within 3 days upon arrival in Vienna, if we arrived on Friday past office hour (5.00 pm), are we allowed to postpone until next monday or tuesday? Thank you for your video, helps a lot.
Hello , can you advise on whether a student can afford living expenses on a part time job in Austria & what exactly is tge part time job situation like in Austria? Are they abundant or scarcely available?
Yes you can afford living expenses with a part time job. You can earn around €800/month. There is competition of course as there are alot of international students coming here but if you apply to multiple jobs then you have a good chance to get something. My friends for instance are working in five guys, dominos, coffee shops
