I wish he and Jeff Lynne could've reconciled and maybe shared the stage at least one final time. Kelly WAS the sound of ELO's "classic lineup" - a sound I couldn't get enough of when I was growing up in the mid to late 70's.
That was the real elo...I just wish Jeff L. Would have convinced elo bean counters to cut Kelly a nice bonus check after the 3 big albums & 3 big tours, Kelly was the missing piece that took elo to major heights, credit to Jeff Lynne for finding Kelly

I love you guys. I know Jeff does too. Thank you for making elo sound like it does , you are the perfect blend for the most incredible sound ever made in music history...well except for Beethoven. ..kudos. you are missed so much. Thank God we still have bev.
As a fan of ELO's music mainly from the 70s, this is pretty fine. I don't much rate Jeff's later ELO compositions, so this is fascinating to hear as to what might have been in the ELO sound if Kelly had been in the band after 1982.
Lets not forget that Chris Tew was an amazing producer, not sure if he is still with us but a great Pianist/Synth player and a technical Whiz in the studio.
Amazing as always - Just found out about this recording and now have another song to put in the same category as "Fly Away", "The Fox", and "Before We Go". What an amazing voice........
Kelly was an under rated elo member , without Kelly those amazing ELO harmonies and Falsetto vocals would not have been so memorable , jeffs reboot of turn to stone on mr blue sky totally was lacking because of the it not having Kellys vocal ... RIP Kelly Groucutt

I love it!! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful song. If there were more unreleased songs, perhaps a Kelly compilation could be made available to fans, including the best of his solo material, plus OrKestra, ELOp2 and The Orchestra. I only saw ELO once - on the Time tour - and I was very impressed by Kelly as a co-lead vocalist on many songs. I always wanted to see him in the post ELO groups, but sadly never got the chance.
Put this on repeat immediately. Up there with the very best of OrKestra, which I always felt produced stronger material than ELO Part 2. Thanks to both you and Chris for sharing. Is there any more where this came from? Would love to hear it :) Thanks again.

Interesting, you can hear a clear Jeff Lynne influence, with a subtle country music touch. Well produced, but not really a "hit" song.
Since he was forced to change his name just for ELO purposes, should we go back to calling him Michael?
