I'm a newb in IT and have drawn the short straw in my small company for setting up reviewable event logs for regulatory compliance. Here's the clincher: we don't have a server and all our computers are undiscoverable on the LAN. That makes us score high on cybersecurity audits, but it also means any SIEM solution would need to be installed on each unit independently (unless I'm missing something).
Anyone have experience with a small, relatively inexpensive, SIEM program that can be easily installed across multiple end users? One with the capacity to generate email alerts would be awesome. Thanks.
