The juxtapositions between Charlie crying over his dad's body and then him trying to help his mom defraud people by making them think she has cancer is ungodly.
It’s interesting how much Charlie’s character draws a parallel to my life.. I too had a father that never was around and mother that was a prostitute but, was into crack and opioids rather then alcohol.. I rose above it though and are doing well in IT and have a wife and son, but this show has opened my eyes to a world of what could have been which is both dark and hilarious 😂
He actually wasn't tryna help her defraud anyone he was genuinely tryna have a fundraiser for her he did try to sell it and exaggerate her condition but he did think she had cancer
Charlie day absolutely killed that scene about his dad. That episode really showed how they can shift the tone and be more serious and still be hilarious within that story
My only problem is it's about Ireland and they use amazing grave on bagpipes. That's a Scottish thing, Danny boy or something like that would've been more appropriate
