This budget is too high to be considered grassroots though. 25k min for the vette or jzx the bmw I can see being a couple grand ether the e46 330i or the e39 540i both under 10k budget to get drifting in the track I can see that and maybe get lucky with a vette but a mustang over a vette in the fact they are cheaper and there are alot more of them, I'd say a camaro or firebird 4th gen would be a good mentioned but more rare then the mustangs

JZX 90, 100, 110 are very popular in Russia. They were like reaaaaaaaaaly cheap, but you still can get a good one for under 10k turbo. Or under 5k with NA JZ engine.

I really don't agree with an E39 540i/6 as a budget drift car. LS+almost anything is a cheaper, more reliable route. I don't see why so much was focused on a car that can take you to FD without a swap. To anyone competing, even at an amateur level, engine swaps, or removals and installs for mods, is commonplace. How about an E36 328is with an M50 manifold, refreshed head and thicker HG, and a budget turbo set up. That setup will make 350 wheel for a hell of a lot less cash than a JZX100, and you'll never be searching for parts.

Drifting irl is anything but cheap, you need at least 50k to get started.
