- In this brand new documentary, we explore the last weeks of Rich Mullins' life as he stayed with the Kruse family at their home in Elgin, Illinois. Through brand new interviews and never-before-seen footage, we learn the story of how Rich, in his final weeks, left a deep impression on this family and how the experience would change their lives forever. The film also features recollections and anecdotes from the friends and fellow musicians who joined Rich in the studio as he co-produced Mitch McVicker's self-titled debut album- and recorded the demos for what would ultimately become his final project, "The Jesus Record". This documentary is a heartfelt gift to Rich's fans, friends and the Kruse family, and was a created purely as a labor of love. For that reason, no money will be made from this project and the film is being presented, with the permission of the filmmaker, for free- exclusively on Ragamuffin Archive.

Rich Mullins (Christian musician/writer/singer) said, "You know sometimes we think everything is changing but I'll tell you what the same moon is up there tonight. The same stars that Abraham saw, they are all up there and The same God that put them there and made them shine He's still there too ... and I don't know what life has for you ... I don't know what life has for me .. but I know this, I know that God is good and I know that God does not lie and I know that God has given us the gift our lives ... sometimes we wish He would have given us someone else's life. But He chose to give you your life. Don't despair of it ... you are going to have needs in your life and God is going to meet those needs His way and His time ... We don't need to judge God's way of doing stuff. It gets done. I hope you know that. I hope you trust Him. I hope you experience Him in every moment of your life because apart from Him there is really not a lot of point in living."
"Hold me Jesus, cause I'm shakin like a leaf, you have been king of my glory, won't you be my prince of peace" thank you Rich Mullins your music brought me close to Jesus as a troubled young woman. I always remember him this way ❤
I don't know why whenever I think about his death I cry like I knew him. He was so talented. The thing I like about him the most is that he seemed honest about life and Jesus when so many Christians aren't. He has definitely affected my life.
Some people we only have for a short time, but they leave a deep impression in our souls. There was no one like Rich!
I miss his music and desire for simplicity in a world that is spinning too fast.
Thank you for making and sharing this. I was hardly even born when Rich went to be with Jesus. Still, all these years later, God is using the work that He did through Rich Mullins, and through you all, to speak to people like me. Thanks you, Jesus!
It is a weird time in the world right now. May the peace of our dear Messiah guard you all, and may his Spirit lead you.
I recall feeling alarmed when Rich said he was tired and ready to go home. He knew. And when it happened, I cried for a long time and still do. I never met the man, but he had touched my life nonetheless. But that was Rich, wasn't it. Always touching people he had never met, and yet we all remember him.
What a genius Rich was not only personally but surrounding himself with young guys that he was discipling in life
Rich was a down-to-earth person used by God to deliver His Word and kindness to the world through music. This is a great documentary proving that. Thank you for making and posting this amazing and inspiring story about Rich. And, thank you, Rich, for being your true self while doing the angelic work of our Creator.
Rich Mullins accomplished more in 42 short years on planet 🌏 than 95% of the rest of the world living to be twice his age[84].His music is still highly regarded 24 years after his physical death. One thing I'm certain of~Rich is MORE ALIVE IN HEAVEN than any of us on planet earth.Because of what YESHUA did on that cross ✝️ to make atonement for our sin and offer us LIFE ETERNAL , we know we will be reunited with Rich Mullins again.Thank You Jesus for ordering each of our footsteps 👣 and carrying us when we fall/stumble.As Rich would say, " Hold Me Jesus."
Wow! I’m looking forward to meeting Rich on the other side...
I miss Rich. Had the honor of seeing him in concert several times and even had a photo taken with him. Every week during my commute to work I sing his songs which gives me comfort.
This is great! Rich Mullins was one of a kind
I wish I could’ve been there, I remember I was 6 when he died and it was my Birthday that day he died and I remembered the Sunday after at church we sand “Awesome God,” in the children’s choir, I still love and will always love listening to Rich’s music, wish I could’ve met him especially since I now write my own Jesus music, but we will meet one day in the Fathers house where there’s many many rooms and get to play for the Lord, thank you to this UA-cam group you guys are awesome! Love you guys!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing these wonderful memories of Rich Mullins last 3 weeks. What an amazing experience to get to spend those last weeks with him. He was so real. And I can't listen to 1 song without crying. One of a kind, uniquely gifted child of God. God bless you and your family for sharing these precious memories with us! 👑✝️❤🌎☝💪🏾⚓🛡🗻🗡📖🙏🧎♀️🎵🙌🧂🕯🕊
I miss him.
me too
14:45 Cornerstone festival....so many good bands...so many good memories 😌 God is Awesome!
I have always loved his songs and can see his raw heart in a lot of them (hard to get through Here in America without bawling...). I am a fellow Psalmist (not just musician or worship leader) and this video is extremely helpful in understanding what we go through (good and bad) and how best to minister to the LORD.
I've watched this so many times. I miss his concerts and his way of understanding God's love.
Dr Scott Hahn was meeting with Rich before he went Home and assisting him on coming into the Catholic Church. One of the things Rich helped me with was giving Jesus the good bad and the ugly about myself. Why hide it, Jesus knows it all and knows it is who I am. To just be painfully honest with Him because He Loves me.
Our Lady of Good Success please pray for Us All 🙏
Viva Cristo Rey 💪🙏
BTW, Thanks for sharing your time with Rich 😘
verified to me by Bishop James Conley of Lincoln, Nebraska
Thank you for sharing this very precious footage. I am so glad to have seen Rich in concert back in 1994 when he was touring Liturgy and Legacy. I'm so looking forward to hearing all his new songs in the age to come.
Well I'm here because I got an extended sentence for breaking out of Facebook jail....😔...... wishing everybody blessings...a Christ filled life. A love filled life....God bless everybody peace and love over everything😊.
Thanks for sharing your hearts with us. Richard’s music will always be a part of the beginning of my faith walk! I surrendered to Jesus in 1991. My mother and I attended many of his concerts and was personally invited to one by Rich. I bawled like a baby when I heard of his passing to glory! 😢 looking forward to worshiping our Lord together with him
I had tickets to attend his concert in Wichita. We donated the money from the tickets rather than getting a refund. We attended his memorial at WSU. I'm still sad all these years. There were so many young people he touched that turned their lives around. 😢 This was a very good video! Thanks for sharing this with me. Vickie
Miss you Rich. One day death will be no more!
What a great film. Greatly appreciated, all the effort. Thanks. I didnt know anything about rich Mullins and this is the first thing I watched. Much love.

Wish the church would reach out more now days. Things seem to be working backward
This is so cool.
I love Rich's song and concerts and i would love to hear that kind if bashful giggly laugh
rocket surgery :D 22:18 but seriously.. a great introspection into his life
Wish I knew you.
Jesus loves me this I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to him belong! They are weak but he is strong. Yes Jesus love me. Yes Jesus love me.
Praise God, Jesus love me!
He loves you too!
Troubling behavior 🧐
