Colorado is the home to 4 of the 15 best small mountain towns in the USA. Breckenridge is one of them, it retains the same Victorian-era charm it had during the height of the gold rush. Breckenridge is No.6 in the list of Best Ski Destinations in the USA; No. 13 on its list of Best Places to Visit in the USA and No. 18 on its list of the World’s Best Places to Visit.
Much like Aspen and Vail, Breckenridge is a town that is known for its luxury ski resort, stunning mountain scenery, and endless recreation. The former mining town is lined with hundreds of restaurants, shops and saloons.

I lived in Breckenridge for 3 years after graduating high-school. As far as ski resorts go... it's the busiest, funnest place to be. More family activities close by than anywhere else. And TONS of bars and fun for adults. More shopping and condos than pretty much any other resort.

@@TravelwithSuri yeah, if I'm going strictly for snowboarding... there are places I'd rather go: Telluride, Wolf Creek, etc... but I have 3 kids and a wife now... so back to Breck. I'll be there next week!

Thank you for watching! Breckenridge is beautiful in all season. I am sure, the lights will be up during the middle of December. It will be like heaven with snow, lights and great ambience! There are public transportation (different color coded bus) to take you all around Breckenridge! All other tourist spots are within 10-15 miles from Breckenridge like Vail, Dillon, Frisco. You can take Uber to those places if you are interested.. but if you are staying only in Breckenridge, you don’t need any cars! Hope this helps. Have a great time at Breckenridge!

I didn’t ski or snowboard! I spent a day exploring the town, visited the Ice castle during night, next day morning, did the dog sledding and retuned home. If you ski or snowboard, you can also visit Vail, it’s a famous ski town in North America! If you have more days, you can drive to Telluride and drive the San Juan scenic byway - it’s a 237 mile loop covering Durango, telluride, Ouray and Silverton! Thanks for watching!

Is it safe to drive down the hill from Breckenridge going to our hotel in Denver? Thank you so much!! You are big help to everybody!
Just look for weather forecast! If there is no snow storm, you can drive from Denver to Breckenridge (I70 is well maintained). If you are worried about driving conditions due to bad weather, you can always book the shuttle which leaves from Denver airport every one hour from 9AM! The weather conditions will change frequently in Colorado mountains.. so if there is a bad weather, I would recommend to take shuttle, else you can drive your car! I prefer a 4WD/AWD! I hope this helps!

Hi, Thanks for watching! It’s not recommended to rent the car if you are staying only in Breckenridge during your entire stay. There are shuttles from Denver to Breckenridge on a daily basis. So if you don’t want to drive during snow, you can always take a shuttle from DIA. There are lyfts and Uber’s in Breckenridge. So if you are going to nearby ski towns like Frisco, Loveland, you can always Uber, because all these ski towns are within 10-15 miles range! So you can manage without renting a car! If you are planning to drive lot and travel to different places, I’d recommend taking a 4WD/AWD and look for weather forecast. If there is a storm, please don’t drive.. I hope this helps! Inside the Breckenridge, the bus shuttles are free! You can go from one part of the town to another part free of charge! The weather in Colorado is unpredictable! So if there is a snowstorm expected, take the shuttle from airport. The drivers are very experienced to drive in that condition! Have a safe journey

Thanks for watching! The best part about the gondola 🚠 is that it’s completely free of charge to all the quests. Though it’s free to ride the gondola, lift tickets must be purchased to ski and mountain bike. Lift tickets can be purchased at the ticket office at the base of gondola as well as the peak7/8. Thanks for watching Saraswathi! My sister’s name..) That’s a good and frequently asked question! Vail is one of the top 5 ski towns not only in US but all of North America! The mountain is huge and less crowded.. but the hotels, restaurants and ski lift tickets are expensive! But you will have a great winter experience! On the other side, I personally liked Breckenridge because it has that charming mountain town feeling, much cheaper compared to Vail and you can see other ski towns within 20-30 minutes from Breckenridge! If you only do Skiing and snowboarding, Vail is the best place.. but there is a ton to do after skiing in Breckenridge! Happy and safe journey! Thanks for watching 😊👍

Thanks. Yes, if you guys are non skiers and have kids under 10, I would suggest to go to Breckenridge. It has peak7/8. Peak7 is good for beginners and kids and peak8 is good for intermediate and advanced skiers! Explore the Dillon Ice castle as well as Dog sledding! Kids will love it!
@@TravelwithSuri thank you so much for replying me...one last question...we are going to land in Denver...planning to drive from Denver to Breckenridge...we are planning December first week...is it possible to drive on snowy roads...it's our first trip to snow area..so little bit concerned about driving on icy roads..or do we need snow chain?
I-70 from Denver to Breckenridge and to all other ski towns is well maintained! Look for weather report before driving to Breckenridge. It’s just one and half hour drive from Denver. If the weather report is good (no winter storm or heavy snow), you can drive in your normal car. Colorado state law demands snow chains if the conditions are not good! So for the safer side, have the snow chains! I would recommend to take a 4WD or AWD rental car! The weather will change in a blink of an eye in Colorado specially during winter! If you are worried about all these things, you can always book a shuttle from Denver to Breckenridge without any traffic hassles! Last thing is: if there is a heavy snow or storm, don’t drive.. wait for things to get clear and drive! Hope this helps! Be safe and enjoy!

Yes, it can be done, but a max of 6 people/group. Please check with the company. I have another video only for the dog sledding.
