Usually when you see videos like this one, it is just a small part of a larger offensive. If it was just as simple as a column of tanks against a column of tanks, it would be an easy war. The battle is happening at a much larger scale, you're just seeing snippets of it. From what we understand so far, Ukrainians lost a lot of armor and manpower and their offensive has failed. Meanwhile, the Russians are pushing in the Sudzha area and the Ukrainians are in a real risk of encirclement in the Kursk region. This war is nuts and Zelensky is a mad leader who lost all common sense, much like Hitler at the end of WW2.
I feel very, very sad about this foolish development. Russians and Ukraine are brothers and sisters, they share the same history and can speak the same language, why do they have to fight against each other?we need Peace and Love not war. Stop this war immediately. Do not die for anybody's political ambition. if the politicians like the war, they go to fight themselves.
a 10-20 meter protective zone will protect a vehicle, maybe 3 if the vehicles are at a reasonable distance, or even 5 if they are almost bumper to bumper, it is not enough for a large convoy and most importantly a drone can drop something on the machine from a certain height and then the shield will not work and of course fiber optic drones are resistant to jamming and the attack itself is just another attempt to repair morale and test these new jammers, because since syrsky brought more meat, such an opportunity cannot be wasted
From what i gather on X, UA new EW seemed to be working well, yet it didn't help them gaining better positions with their Kursk incursion 2.0. Probably number wasn't enough, or RU was switching to FO FPVs, or Krasnopol did the deeds.

Not to mention, even this can be countered by using TWO drones, where one is a signal relay and the attack drone is connected with the first with an optic cable.
@James-z6x3u I rather doubt it. Yes the drone could hit the tank but for FPV drones the location of the impact is still very important if you want to damage the tank.
A device like that would require a really strong signal to intercept drones, and still they cannot cover a wide range that would make drones ineffective. We are still way behind on electronic warfare.
These defensive EW devices are probably short range low powered barrage or chirp jammers, using the common bandwidths. As such they are sitting duck targets to a receiver in the drone, which can point toward the emitter. USA used these as far back as 1970's.
An RT crew narrowly avoided a Ukrainian drone strike in Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic that claimed the life of Russian war correspondent Alexander Martemyanov and injured five other members of the press. The Izvestia journalist was targeted while traveling in a civilian vehicle on Saturday. RT correspondent Roman Kosarev revealed that the team had worked alongside Martemyanov just hours before the fatal incident. Kosarev and the Izvestia reporter were both recording “yet another atrocity” at the scene of a Ukrainian cluster munition strike on a residential area in the Donbass town of Gorlovka on Saturday, Kosarev told RT's Eunan O’Neill on Saturday. “They attacked the city of Gorlovka with cluster shells and ten people were wounded. Alexander and I and other reporters were on the scene recording everything that happened,” Kosarev said. “Mind you, there was not a single military site in vision,” he added. - RT
When a drone's video feed is interrupted this means either the operator's receiver is being jammed, or the drone's electronics are being irradiated. Fibre optics will not protect the drone's electronics. They may, however, prevent the target from detecting a drone radio signal and turning their defensive emitter on.
Don’t you think using that powerful radiation will run the risk of their own soft equipment getting fried ? After all they need sensitive receivers to at least receive information from base station. Also microwaves if too powerful tend to get reflected like light from closeby targets causing own sensor damage
@JohnLee-bf2ux Yep, certainly does. One of the reasons you don't just leave it on. It does drop off fairly quickly though, and can be (mostly) directed in the required direction.
Hello from Russia 🎉 I agree with the original post here. The strength of this channel has always been the facts. When Dima starts on analysis things go south... This is a summary channel. Not analysis. There are very good sources for analysis out there
facts are all parties suffer under this war. and we dumbheads do nothing to get to peace and stop the fighting. instead sitting in front of a display and argueing of who is winning or losing.
Nothing new, only Dima is again on vodka... Didn't finished his new year celebration. Electronic jamming is used by both sides but not all vehicles are equipped. Sometimes the jamming is enough powerfull (we have seen a lot of videos in the past) and sometimes it is not enough. So nothing new and you can't take a conclusion with only one video, on only one tank. I hate when Dima is speculating, telling his opinion, doesn't always warn that it's just his opinion, what he thinks.
Update on the conflict in Ukraine for January 5, 2025… Ukrainian forces continue to suffer irreversible attrition prompting calls by Ukraine’s Western sponsors to begin drafting 18 year olds; A French-trained and equipped brigade of over 4,500 troops is under investigation for large-scale desertions and reports of “abuse of power;” Ukraine is losing manpower and equipment faster than it can be supplied to Ukraine, especially trained manpower and the larger units it is organized under; A properly trained brigade can take up to 3 years to stand up, equip, and prepare for combat; Western media admits Ukrainian forces are facing difficulties in holding Pokrovsk in the Donbass region as well as its shrinking area of operation in Russia’s Kursk region; The fundamentals contributing to Ukraine’s incremental military collapse have not and cannot be addressed by its Western sponsors meaning only negotiations or more likely, Western intervention to create a Syria-style “buffer zone” will hold off a total collapse of Ukraine’s fighting capacity; The US is likely waiting to maximize the cost imposed on Russian forces, its economy, and its geopolitical standing as the US places pressure along all of its periphery as the conflict in Ukraine continues; - The New Atlas
It makes me wonder which is the distraction and which is the thrust. Is this the thrust, or is this the distraction before they attack in Sudzha or try to take ZNPP in the south. I'm not convinced they will meet much success, but I've guessed wrong several times before so I'll keep an open mind.
@ProcaviaCapensis-ts8ub yes i did. and what are afu field officers in kursk saying? mad because ukra cant win, mad because they cant retrieve afu remains. rip
There's an easy workaround. They can use wireless drones with a laser designator to overlay targets for an artillery strike. That pretty much sets you outside the dangerous EW sphere, and you can still target Ukrainian units.
The solution to defensive FPV interference is so obvious, that it can be assumed it's already being used: Once the target is locked in, internal guidance takes control. Because the internal mechanisms can be shielded.
BLINKEN PUTS ON AN EMOTIONAL APPEAL TO THE WORLD, not on behalf of thousands of Gazan children, butchered and freezing to death or for Israel to stop its genocide, but to pressure Hamas to lay down arms. The US Secretary of State also wants IDF to have free rein in its mass slaughter of Palestinians, justifying its actions and claiming "pressure on Israeli government only pushed away hostage deal ". There have been times when Israeli actions made it more difficult. But there’s been a rationale for those actions, even if they’ve sometimes made getting to a conclusion more difficult Why there hasn’t been a unanimous chorus around the world for Hamas to put down its weapons, to give up the hostages, to surrender, I don’t know the answer is to that. Where is the world? - mega Israel simp Blinken asks. - Intel Republic
Russia massively uses optics for quadcopters. No jammers will help there. Россия массово использую оптику для квадрокоптеров. Там никакие глушилки не помогут.
So, this 'Ukrainian offensive' is a joke. I sometimes have a difficult time following Dima, but if I follow him correctly, we are talking about an offensive with like maybe 10 vehicles - a few tanks and some APCs. Now, I am not familiar with the Ukrainian Army's T/E (Table of Equipment), but in the US Marine Corps that I served in in the 80's, this offensive would not have been even a good battalion sized operation. How can that be a 'major offensive' - I can see this being some type of reconnaissance in force to test a new system or perhaps just some stupid demonstration on the part of Ukraine to try to impress the west. As far as the new technology - that only works against conventional Russian drones - not Russian conventional artillery, coronets, and air assets with air to ground missiles. As the Ukrainian vehicles approach Russian concentrations, the Russian artillery will decimate them. So, a new 'jamming tech' does not stop vehicles from being hit - this is not in any way a 'game changer' - only in the mind of Zellensky. Dumb idea.
7:00 But why would Ukraine/NATO demonstrate such capability by drawing attention to it via an offensive in such a highly contested area? Why not use this in selected areas discreetly? Nothing make sense anymore.
It never did make sense. The crumbling EU just slit it's own throat by having Zelenski cut off the gas. The UAE just cancelled the gas contract with the EU as well because the EU was going to charge them a 5% fee for not going green fast enough. Everyone knew that the collective west could not beat Russia on the battlefield but they still sacrificed over a million Ukrainians so far. The death rate is at 2,000 per day average and climbing. A bunch of untrained and unwilling 18 year olds will be pure cannon fodder and the end of Ukraine as a state. It's absolutely insane to fight against an opponent that has an outstanding airforce and complete missile dominance. But the beat goes on my friend. ....
Russians have the Lancet 3 that is autonomous. Could get what kind of EW it is. Another way is to attack from the top, vertical way, 80-90°, in the axis of the tank, following it. The drone will fall at a speed of 200-300 km/h; target is 1, 5 ou 10 m ahead of the moving tank.
If the AFU indeed have new EW equipment then why equip it on units headed into a suicide run? Faster that equipment is captured and any advantage lost. At this point the strategy is so disastrous that it makes you wonder if someone above wants them to lose.
On CAM: 200 Ukrainian and NATO Soldiers Along With 30 Units of Equipment Were Destroyed In YUNAKIVKA A few hours ago, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published a terrifying video of the destruction of a fairly large concentration of enemy forces. According to officials of the Russian Defense Ministry, on January 3, near the settlement of 'Yunakivka' (Sumy region), Russian reconnaissance drones detected a concentration of personnel and heavy equipment of the 82nd Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Army. - Intel Republic
What I don't understand is how the Ukrainians still have a logistical line into the Sudza region in Russia. Surely that is the first lifeline you cut off if you are the Russian army and you are trying to retake the Sudza region... before you do anything else.. anything.

Isn't that what everybody tried to say about the smo that Russia was invited into help the Eastern States during
Ukrainians start an offensive as the Russians move in on Sudza. The road to the offensive cuts through Sudzha. If the Russians put enough pressure on Sudza, the whole Ukrainian offensive forces could be locked in a culdron. This does not make any sense.
Please read more carefully materials. First using report by Russian MOD - 15 vehicles were used in the talk. You are saying that only 2 were destroyed. While in the same Report stated that 10 vehicles were neutralized. Plus from shown footage, it can be seen that more than 2 vehicles are destroyed.
At minute 9, Dima is assuming these Ukrainian tanks and vehicles travelled from inside Ukraine. I disagree. It is more likely that these tanks were already on the territory. Trapped and unable to return, they're doing the version of a ship ramming. Go all out and take out as much as you can. This i think is more likely.
Hey Dima, just so you know, a site called ruslan belov is using your maps, your videos, even your exact same cursor movements, etc, as this video current video of yours! It has an AI voice, but everything else is exactly the same as this video you just posted! Their video is even called “ukraine launched a new offensive in the Kursk region” similar to you. Not sure if it’s actually from you as a secondary vid, but thought you should know.
The Russians can use the fibre optic controled drones just to attack the electronic protection on each Ukro vehicle and then when the equipment is destroyed they can attach with the regular drones. Simple.
The drone video shows a Russian military convoy advancing along a road towards a wooded area on the outskirts of the village. The convoy is headed by a tank, with three other pieces appearing to be heavily up-armored infantry fighting vehicles (IFV). Upon reaching the wooded area, the convoy encounters two Ukrainian tanks advancing along the road. The Russian armor then lands several hits on the Ukrainian tank, which catches fire and is rendered inoperative. One of the shells fired by the Russian vehicle appears to ricochet off an electric post that crashes onto the road, the video suggests. The second Ukrainian tank retreats, and several FPV kamikaze drones are dispatched to hunt it down. The vehicle reportedly ended up destroyed as well. - RT
So many "leader" and "experts", from so many enemy countries, gathering on a giant US military base occupying Germany. Let's hope Russia doesn't do something unexpected.
Both sides have the ability to jam the frequency ranges used by the drones. They typically don't because they both rely on their use. It isn't anything new, nor overly important.
Another bs commentary. 12:20 text on the screen stated that out of 15 vehicles 10 were neutralised. Meanwhile Dima: "Just Two Tanks!111" and proceeds to build his bs theories on this statement.
If this is not a shame for the Kursk Commander, what is? Where are the airplanes and the helicopters, how did they manage to format convoys and march again like the first days of the offensive??? Why is it so difficult to cut the supply road, it is only one. How is it possible to advance that far in one day since Ukrainians are 12.000 and the Russians 50.000??? Ho is the liar here???/

this is no game-changer. The drone suppression technology is from 2022. Dima's conclusiosn are pure BS.

This is a US/western weapon. The question is who are the operators? .Ukrainians?
they also can push the on and off button
a 10-20 meter protective zone will protect a vehicle, maybe 3 if the vehicles are at a reasonable distance, or even 5 if they are almost bumper to bumper, it is not enough for a large convoy and most importantly a drone can drop something on the machine from a certain height and then the shield will not work and of course fiber optic drones are resistant to jamming and the attack itself is just another attempt to repair morale and test these new jammers, because since syrsky brought more meat, such an opportunity cannot be wasted
you forget about arty, if you put vehicles too close it is easier for arty to destroy em
If drones can’t, artillery shells don’t care

i dont think this equipment is new, they just upped the power
so they will be jamming their own drones too
You are 100% correct
Not to mention, even this can be countered by using TWO drones, where one is a signal relay and the attack drone is connected with the first with an optic cable.
Surely the drones are using object recognition that can track the tank even if the operator loses connection?
@James-z6x3u I rather doubt it. Yes the drone could hit the tank but for FPV drones the location of the impact is still very important if you want to damage the tank.
@@ramrod9556 That's a good point.
WOW! Four vehicle convoys!
Also known as a 'human wave assault'.
Dima! Great parable about the house constructors working on a new foor plan on the top , when they have a ongoing fire in the basement!❤❤
Yes, Elensky's much-hyped peace plan has been DOA for a long time. 😃
Another blunder
Dima we do not need your opinion mate, we just need the facts. Thanks for todays report.
Actually I enjoy his opinions, speak for yourself. And bless you if you think you can get facts from a youtube video LOL
utter clown
Hello from Russia 🎉 I agree with the original post here. The strength of this channel has always been the facts. When Dima starts on analysis things go south... This is a summary channel. Not analysis. There are very good sources for analysis out there
I actually find crazy uncle Dima's outlandish analysis kind of endearing.
facts are all parties suffer under this war. and we dumbheads do nothing to get to peace and stop the fighting. instead sitting in front of a display and argueing of who is winning or losing.
Go get your on channel and provide as many opinion-free facts as you like.
Both sides has to change their radio signals many times a week
EW will work today, tomorrow will not
The Kursk action is known as the "Fish in the Barrel" maneuver. Unfortunately for the Ukie's they chose the side of the fish....

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for January 5, 2025…
Ukrainian forces continue to suffer irreversible attrition prompting calls by Ukraine’s Western sponsors to begin drafting 18 year olds;
A French-trained and equipped brigade of over 4,500 troops is under investigation for large-scale desertions and reports of “abuse of power;”
Ukraine is losing manpower and equipment faster than it can be supplied to Ukraine, especially trained manpower and the larger units it is organized under;
A properly trained brigade can take up to 3 years to stand up, equip, and prepare for combat;
Western media admits Ukrainian forces are facing difficulties in holding Pokrovsk in the Donbass region as well as its shrinking area of operation in Russia’s Kursk region;
The fundamentals contributing to Ukraine’s incremental military collapse have not and cannot be addressed by its Western sponsors meaning only negotiations or more likely, Western intervention to create a Syria-style “buffer zone” will hold off a total collapse of Ukraine’s fighting capacity;
The US is likely waiting to maximize the cost imposed on Russian forces, its economy, and its geopolitical standing as the US places pressure along all of its periphery as the conflict in Ukraine continues; - The New Atlas
utterly amazing folly
classic blunder
It makes me wonder which is the distraction and which is the thrust. Is this the thrust, or is this the distraction before they attack in Sudzha or try to take ZNPP in the south. I'm not convinced they will meet much success, but I've guessed wrong several times before so I'll keep an open mind.
You also said that about Ukraine invasion of Kursk.
Yet Russia remains on the backfoot in the region.

Facts
They can afford it, they have a lot of weapons from all NATO countries and near limitless supply of mobilization meat.
@@Big_Sloppaobviously not I'd they were talking about drafting 16 and 17 year olds.
The manpower gravy train looks like it's drying up.
There's an easy workaround. They can use wireless drones with a laser designator to overlay targets for an artillery strike. That pretty much sets you outside the dangerous EW sphere, and you can still target Ukrainian units.
Ukraine has nothing for negotiation. It is being settled on the battlefield as Ukraine wanted. Careful what you wish for.
Why did he need to attack in that direction for testing? He couldn't test in any other direction?
It looks to me like to distract Russian forces for an attack on other direction.
The solution to defensive FPV interference is so obvious, that it can be assumed it's already being used: Once the target is locked in, internal guidance takes control. Because the internal mechanisms can be shielded.
So many assumptions. Just report the news man

But there’s been a rationale for those actions, even if they’ve sometimes made getting to a conclusion more difficult
Why there hasn’t been a unanimous chorus around the world for Hamas to put down its weapons, to give up the hostages, to surrender, I don’t know the answer is to that. Where is the world? - mega Israel simp Blinken asks. - Intel Republic

Dima sounds really calm today despite Ukraine's continued foolish "Offensive".
What "Ukrainian forces"? Those from busification are not willing to fight.
Thank you Dima. I appreciate your hard work. This was a very busy update. Well done.
Dumb idea.
The AFU offensive has been crushed solely by NK soldiers. Twenty of them.

Pure gold 😂

Attack is already defeated
Like Kursk.
But the beat goes on my friend. ....
any sudden EW development will be effective for at most a week. it won't work vs Lancets either or ISR at sufficient altitude.
THERE ISN'T GOING TO BE ANY NEGOTIATION!!!!
not with ukraine
there will be negotiations, but without the participation of Ukraine
I'll say even more. negotiations are already underway, and Ukraine is trying to sabotage them
Russians have the Lancet 3 that is autonomous.
Russia already added ~15,000 soldiers around Kursk.
Ukraine can't do nothing.
On CAM: 200 Ukrainian and NATO Soldiers Along With 30 Units of Equipment Were Destroyed In YUNAKIVKA
A few hours ago, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published a terrifying video of the destruction of a fairly large concentration of enemy forces. What I don't understand is how the Ukrainians still have a logistical line into the Sudza region in Russia.
Surely that is the first lifeline you cut off if you are the Russian army and you are trying to retake the Sudza region... before you do anything else.. anything.

Ukrainians start an offensive as the Russians move in on Sudza.
The road to the offensive cuts through Sudzha. If the Russians put enough pressure on Sudza, the whole Ukrainian offensive forces could be locked in a culdron.
This does not make any sense.

The whole offensive was just a suicide rush to test some EW gear for NATO.

sorry your theory is dumb. if they have this secret equipment that works well why use it on a useless assault? instead of the main one
Exactly 💯. Russia was closing in on Sudza.
They found out a way to supress russian drones .. while tiping them, so they can develop a countermeasures... without achiving anything.
The Russians can use the fibre optic controled drones just to attack the electronic protection on each Ukro vehicle and then when the equipment is destroyed they can attach with the regular drones. Simple.
Or use additional drones as relay
Dima,
You're too dramatic in your explanation. How do you know that Ukraine managed to defeat Russian drones completely?😢😢
I feel the russians are struggling in Koursk to be fair
- RT
Dima sound like pro Ukraine.
So many "leader" and "experts", from so many enemy countries, gathering on a giant US military base occupying Germany. Let's hope Russia doesn't do something unexpected.
The new Kursk misadventure doesn't seem to involve a large force. There are various reports about a build up in Sumy.
Two days ago russia unalived 200 ukr soldiers in sumy forest.
200 ukraine soldiers were evaporated in the sumy forest by the Russians.
Latest news from Kursk is that the airforce destroed all combat vehicles
Russia does not negotiate with terrorists - which means the United States.
Ho is the liar here???/
they send soldier just to test new equipment? crazy...
