I see you took out the poly wall rim joist insulation, would you said his method is superior than the poly wall. I was thinking about putting poly wall rim joist insulation and then covering it like you this with this method for belt and suspenders, idk what the insulation value of this foam is I know you said for air sealing
@grizzlyinvesting that insulation is for something all together different. We refer to that as rigid foam typically. Never heard it called poly. I guess that's the brand? I would have no problem with using rigid foam but it would certainly take more time and you would still need to air seal the perimeter.
Possible u might have issues if u have a termite bond…. That is where thay inspect to see if u have termites, worked in the pest industry for 12 years and it was an issue for us.. we had a crew that would scrap that area for us to inspect….. cost them $$$$ per foot. Also best to put plastic on the ground for moisture issues in the sub floor. Get a free inspection from a termite company.
@@brucenellis2780 termite companies are the biggest crooks in the industry, specifically the big name companies. I've been behind them plenty of times. They take pleasure in taking money from clients. The other issues in that crawlspace are being addressed. This was just the first phase.
Been following for a month and every video is gold worth. Great job considering the see of the "creators" nowadays. A channel to learn vs listening to a sale pitch. Can you share the brand of your jumpsuit? I tried to decipher brand but it got dirty very quickly. Been looking for one that does not pull and tug when crawling and that seams to fit the bill. Thanks in advance. 👍 p.s. if the bulkiness of gun and the can together does not allow for proper application holding it upright, you can get rubber/pvc flexible hose that fits on a nozzle and hold it away and upright and with tip of the hose go exactly where you need, it does need two hand operation which sometimes is tough

While you were down there you might as well had put fiberglass insulation instead of foaming it. Not only that, those gases couldn't have been that great for your lungs being in an enclosed area.

Great vid, def recommend to use a small ish battery shop vac to clean up before spraying.
Great job does the tip gets clogged or are those tips made not to ?
@@reinaldoromero25 That's a great question! We did not experience any of the tips Clogging.
Will that not trap a certain amount of moisture under the foam, causing the wood to rot over a longer period of time?
No sir. Its really standard practice especially up north to insulate the rim joist location.
