I’m American but I used to live in Limerick! I really loved it there, especially King John’s Castle and the view of the Shannon. That area is so beautiful. I miss those days so much.
My wife met me on vacation in Limerick (I'd flown into Dublin) and toured Bad King John's Castle, but our favorite memory of Limerick is hanging out at a bad club where I found myself "translating" English to English for a man trying to hit on my wife. Hilarious.
If you're gonna use a ball-point, those pens are the absolute tippity-top. I'd never go back to them now that I use professional gel pens but those multi-colours got me through Uni. Wait what were we talking about?
Hey! I know you provided English subtitles although I would be interested to see Irish subtitles on the videos if it's not too much of a bother. I would like to learn how to read Irish and my brain would have the easiest time getting to associate letters or letter combinations with sounds.

Is fiú duit cuairt a thabhairt ar St Mary's Cathedral chomh maith. Bunaithe ag flaith Gaelach fadó. Chuaigh mé go hOllscoil Luimnigh, is maith an chathair í.

Chuaigh mé isteach san ardeaglais 😁 bhí sé galánta! Níor thaifead mé é
Is as Cathair Luimnigh mé, mar sin ba bhreá liom seo. Tá ár gCathair go hálainn ar fad. Faraor tá Siopa Leabhar Ceilteach dúnta anois. Conas a bhí an Gaelainn anseo? Ar ceapann tú go raibh sé go maith?
Dia duit a Molly go hiontach fhíseán eile. Caithidh mé cleachtad ag foghliam Gaeigle agus is mithid dom luí isteach air. Táim sásta buail le chairde do maidin Gaeigle i gceann cúpla seachtine.
Tá fiche bliain caite ó chuaigh Genie agus mise go Luimneach an uair dheireanach. Bhí na "lanes" fós ann. Ba bhreá linn "the lanes." ach tá Genie agus mé féin cairde le Malachy McCourt agus bhí aithne ag an mbeirt againn ar Alfie agus Frank, a dheartháireacha, mar sin ar ndóigh rinne muid. Bheadh Malachy agus ár gcara an tAthair Pat spéisiúil duit, le do spéis sa stair. Bhí aithne acu beirt ar Sheán South (as Garraí Eoghain) agus tá cuimhní an-difriúla acu air.

It's never even entered my head to visit Limerick, but you've piqued my interest a little bit now. Thank you , Molly
It’s a really nice little city, I would recommend it for a weekend trip 😁

would I be right in saying that Séan would be pronounced Shane if there's a fada over the e? Great video btw!
Yes it would 😊 but Séan means “deny” as Gaeilge 🤣

I think the list of names was, perhaps, incomplete.... Peadar and of course, Sémas...just saying. Love the video!
It was missing a few of the best 😉
