This shot looks great, the environment tracking is spot on, animations are fluid and believable, rendering is proper. A shot worthy of a movie. And since this is several years old, who knows where the skills of the creator are by now.
Holy moly that is a GORGEOUS monster, and it flows so beautifully that it absolutely feels REAL. The movement, the camera follow, it's just spectacular!!
Congratulations on the work. Incredible!!! I'm creating a game right now, alien, and this 3D monster model would be perfect for my project, I would like to see where I can get this 3D model and its animations please. I'm using Unreal Engine.
Oh, thank you. However, this model is the property of AnimSchool; I used it for practice in my free time. It was quite a while ago, and I no longer have the asset or the file with the animation
Is this footage being tracked, or is the animation on top of some sort of panorama. The reason I ask is because the camera feels like something digitally animated in post and there's some weird frozen motion blur in the back.
It is the track of the footage, and animation is planned based on camera movement. It is just a random shot. It was not planned to be used as a background for some specific animation.
@@alexeygapon7767 after looking again, i think its more the directional light on the monster is too bright. The back plate seems very low light/dull but the creature is well lit. I don't have much background in lighting so not 100% sure.
@itscharlieschannel this is not a final ready shot :) If you will take a look closely, you will find animation and masks issues. When I did it, I didn't know people would like it,and if I knew, I would make great looking from any aspect
Looks ok overall but there is an issue both with its motion blur and its dof. did you use a 2d motion blur solution without supplying the animation's motion vectors?
@@alexeygapon7767 yup i could tell, and i would guess going 3d in camera mb was too render intense, BUT!!! keep in mind exporting a motion vector pass is actually fast. and it contains the majority of the details needed to make far better results in the 2d blur process.
@@alexeygapon7767 Nobody pans the camera around like that IRL. Its completely unnatural looking, regardless if its real or not. It doesnt "look" real. And if you didnt do the camera work, then thats a good thing, cuz thats the only really big issue here.
The camera and track was found on the web. So this animation was planned using existing camera movement. I wanted to keep lizard moving, but shot stopped, that I why this looks the way it looks.

Best animation I’ve ever seen ik it’s just a comment but this cgi is *better* than film cgi I mean cmon this deserves *more* than 1mil
Thank you very much! ❤
No problem I animate too so this is also helpful too 😊 Tysm
Two things, I loved how you animated the spikes to kind of sway around as the creature moves, and your shadows are on point. Fantastic job!
Thank you very much 😊!
THAT is absolutely AWESOME!!!! So fluid, and the creature looks handsomely wonderful~
Thank you!❤
Impressive. Bet he was adorable as a pup, lol!

The defocus of the camera looked a bit off, but overall a very good animation and integration, well done sir.
Thank you now the skills are much better 😀
So realistic , which platform was used ?;)
Hey, some old Maya version
Godzilla's cousin:
Its mainly the lighting that ruins it. the shadows seem way to light or absent, i think.
Maybe you right, it was a test not a final work. Cheers

Yes it was simple 2d motion blur on post-processing.

you should work for disney and show them how to animate 3D
Haha, thank you bro, hope will do for them som work in near future 😅
