Multi programing introduced in 3 gen.. Not in 2nd gen
#abhishek_sharma the begining of multi programming OS started in 2nd generation and were mainly used in 3rd generations. And i have mentioned that in the next question.

#Nische_Sharma kindly check the questions properly. Batch processing was introduced in the 1st generation itself and it continued to be used in the 2nd generation as well and in the 2nd generation multi programming was introduced which further continued in the 3rd generation.

In Arihant ,the first generation date is (1940-56) ,second gen (1956-63),third gen (1964-71) ,fourth gen(1971- present) fifth generation (Present and beyond).what is correct data?
Time period of generations varies from book to book and website to website. However I check some of the stand websites.
