Hello my cuties! So as many of you let me know in my Discord, about 9 days ago, on the 18th of october, conejaluisa99 was hacked.
9 Days ago I was simply creating my videos as usual. This day I was creating the second report video of my new series. As I was about to post it, I noticed my google account had been logged off. I thought, maybe, I accidentally logged off.
I tried to log back in, but I kept having the password is wrong prompt. Then again, I thought maybe I had forgot my password since it had been entire months since I last had to log in... as I always used the comfortable auto-log in function from google chrome.
So then there's where the terror begins... I pressed the passwords recovery options but... all of them had been changed. From email, to phone number... everything. Not even my security questions were there. Nothing.
However what scared me the most, is that I had 2 step verification methods up... so just... how did this happen? I mean, if not even the 2 step verification works, then what can keep me safe?
For the next 13 hours, I kept checking videos of other fellow youtubers who had similar problems to mine.
I want to thank everyone who sent me support messages, those who didn't allow me to give up, those who investigated for me and helped me solve my questions, those who tried their best to help me out. Andrew for guiding me, and youtube and google teams for finally solving the issue for me.
This channel is tiny, the videos are mostly not even good, but I really like this channel, it is a piece of my childhood basically, and I loved every moment I've recorded with all of you. So anyways, if something similar has happened to you you may DM me in discord @LuisaRLZ#3429 and I will try to help you out. For now, I will set up even more security to my accounts and will make sure to log them off everytime I finish using them.
