What an All Star Line Up and performance... this mix has/had some real potential... I'd like to see this come around like circles around the sun and not fade away!
"The Terrapin Family Band" is basically a continuation of the house band for Phil Lesh's (now closed) club Terrapin Crossroads. Members often change, even from gig to gig, though there are a few constants. Singer Nicki Bluhm is kind of a new addition; who knows for how long?
Long time traveller long time. One of the hardest efforts 4 me is to allow a female voice other than Donna Jean. Its hard for me yet here we are tuning up my old ears. Thanks for a chance to learn and grow before I cant hear a thing. Hearing these old favs sung with a bright voice is very reassuring I feel late lol but i got here
I was blown away at the Tone & Texture first song ( I've been to 5 Dead show's Heard uncle John's band only once Never heard Casey Jones This band feels great from outta the gate
Greetings from Germany ! A wonderful Christmas present, I love the Greatful Dead! Your interpretations are wonderful, great, keep it up! You guys are great !
Is this the same configuration that's going to play with Phil at the Fillmore in a few days? I haven't been able to find the line up for Dec 15 and 17th anywhere.
I have a hard time listening to guitar players who sound too much like Jerry. It just feels unauthentic. I never got into Dead and Company, but love seeing Phil, Billy and his kids and Bob because they have their own spins on the songs.
Wow they sound just like the Dead. That’s not a compliment. Stealing another band’s sound, right down to the playing style and amplifier settings is theft. I have no problem with covers, but try and have enough creativity and honesty to come up with your own sound.

I'm a newcomer to The Terrapin Family Band and loving all over them! Female lead vocals and tambourine really turn me on now!

This band is absolutely amazing!!!!!!! My first time hearing them.
I found them less than 20 minutes ago and by total coincidence. Love them already!

The sound is awsome⚡️ ❗️Thx 4 this 😊 ✌️❤️
Nicki is always a welcomed addition. Thanks for posting the full show!
Ditto! I didn't know Nicki sang with them that night.
This is fantastic ❤😊
Really enjoying Ross James's bassplaying here; fluent, amazingly sure-footed and very much in the Phil Zone ( it's the zone, not the tone).
wait that sounds slick . . . , . .but thats not true , the tone is the bone around the marrow .tone is Real important .only the best ,have the best .
As a bass player obsessed with tone I agree. What I meant was that Ross' much darker tone works perfectly well in that context.@@peterbetts858
That was incredible! Wish I could have been there. I’ll keep an eye open for the next time you’re in the Carlotta NC area ❤
Nice..
Bass player is a beast
We need a consumer friendly version of the GD. This band might suffice.
Awesome .. great venue
Parabéns excelente banda

Hey, does anybody have some Panama Red?

late 30:00s band gets outta shape thinning it out to single guitar to find the groove again.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS
Better than the real guys! They can sing and the music doesn't sound all disjointed.
C'mon man. Get real.
there is always one
ya what they should really do is get ai to do the lead vocals than all u miss the bus bunch would buy a shirt rite.. whats your fave pig song ?
@@peterbetts858lol... Yep... But smoke stack 😉

You really don't get it!
And? The Dead have always been more than generous with allowing taping, covers, etc… It’s about the music, NOT who is playing it
they sound nothing like the Dead
