I’m not convinced, as China and the USA have different wants. The USA likes bombing countries with old technology and even they can sometimes down a B2 (eg. Serbia) and before that kept a nuclear bombers airborne, but now missile technology means that is redundant. The only thing that a bomber would add is to increase the range of cruise missiles. As Russia’s Oreshnik and ICBM technology shows there is no need for any ballistic missiles. If China liked invading countries like Iraq and Afghanistan I can see a point to developing a stealth bomber but if they are developing one what does it do that can’t be done already?
