LYRICS:
Hey kid let me introduce myself
I’s a friend of your dad’s when he had no one else
I’ll put the party in your life boy you know I can
Have you ever wanted to feel like superman
Oh, Oh
I see that blonde hair over there looking at you
You wanna say what’s up but can’t work up the courage to
But if you stick with me buddy you can bet your life
She’ll be walking out with you by the end of the night so
Don’t listen to momma
Hell I ain’t the devil
Ditch me when you wanna
But if you need a little
I can fix your problems
Always got your back
I can make you famous
By the way my name is….
Shit
It ain't my place but I gotta admit
All the people in your circle man they’re pissing me off
Say you’re broken and you’re soulless and it’s all my fault
So tell me old friend, is it such a sin
All I did was make you happy so to hell with them and
Don’t listen to momma
Hell I ain’t the devil
Ditch me when you wanna
But if you need a little
I can fix your problems
Always got your back
I can make you famous
By the way my name is….
Yeah
Yeah yeah it’s been a hell of a ride kid don’t you agree
Yeah yeah rock bottom ain’t as bad when you’re rocking with me
When you’re rocking with me
So
Don’t listen to momma
Hell I ain’t the devil
Ditch me when you wanna
But if you need a little
I can fix your problems
Always got your back
I can make you famous
By the way my name is….
By the way my name is….
By the way my name is Jack

Roses are red, violets are blue. When I listen to Hardy, my neighbors do too.
Lol
🤣
Good one but it is so true
😂😂😂
Golden
I love how the progression of this song mimics a Jack drunk night. Between each chorus he starts changing moods. Cool, Calm, Collected….Starts getting irritated about the people around him…irate drunk anger. Soooooo good on so many levels!
It really does😅😅
I think it's about heroin🤔
It's about Jack to whomever said heroin. He's tlaking about starting to drink early and then over time it gets a hold of him and life starts spinning out of control and he's addicted and it all goes by quickly it's why it goes crazy and ends with you wanting more. Just like alcohol. It's a story and leaves you wanting more from the song. Again just like being an alcoholic.
@todddillon613 27. Had friends and family deal with alcohol addiction and 4 years ago right before I had my son I almost went down the same hole. Luckily realized and controlled myself before it took control of me. I can now drink and still get a drunk but know how to regulate and catch myself if I ever do start to depend on it again. You?
Truly genius level writing, to tell a story that’s relatable and keeps you hooked till the last word of the song where the “mystery” is solved. Not to mention the song absolutely kicks ass! Very seldom do songs come out like this, today or ever.
Finally, a rock band with talent, these guys kick ass!
You know a good artist when you hear one of his songs on local Rock station and another on a local country station amazing talent
Just happened to me today 🤣
Just like Steve Earle in the late 80s.
another prime example of that: Chris Stapleton when he was with the Jompson Brothers
Fellow octane enjoyer?!
Just heard today on a rock station. I don't really listen to country but I love this song. Maybe I need to learn more of his music.
Please do a full on rock album someday!!!! This sounds SO INCREDIBLY GOOD!!!!
He confirmed Sold Out is the root of his next album on a instagram ama.
@@ArcherNoble This comment made happier than i was 12 minutes ago!! Thank you for the good news Sr!!!!
I SECOND THIS
For fucking real

I love the new fusion of rock and country that seems to be gaining popularity. The 2 genres I listen to most often coming together is awesome!
It’s not new
Must be young because this certainly isnt new style of music. Been being done for many years.
Who else do I need to listen too? I think this style too
@@kylefitzherbert9381 country rock def aint new but its fresh with hardy’s take imo. Its more deriving from grunge/post-grunge rather than blues rock of the 70s or punk with alt country in the 90s
Same. It's why I started making banjo-metalcore
why does this sound feel like we're back in the mid 2000s?
because its set to the tone/cadence of a country song from back then. You can feel it in some of his other songs too, I love how he does it. He makes his beat just different enough to be something new but similar enough to bring the feel of the original. This one has moments that kind of sounds like "He's mine" by Rodney Atkins
Never been a country fan…but this guy has some voodoo going on with crossing over to the rock side. I can’t stop playing this song!!!!!
this is some mean ass rock, hardy is a legit band
how can anyone think this is country? it’s rock
Checking in from mid missouri, I must agree with the rest of your fans you have most definitely takin music to a new level. As a fellow rocker this whole album is all gold.... way to show them your not just an awsome writer, you can sling them lyrics with the best of them. Plz cont with what your up too it's amazing....
@Hardy your fake
This is country? Thought this the genre called modern rock. Sounds like Theory of Deadman, some Shinedown, Nickleback, and most of modern rock radio 20 years ago. I adore this song but is this now considered country us I was unaware.
Hardy is about to take over rock music if he keeps putting out songs like this. Blown away by this track. The perfect mixture of modern and that early 2000s rock sound that I miss dearly. 🔥
Clown comment 🤡
@@hughjereckshon1232 stay mad. Love it.
@@RockFeed yeah I do get mad when people like Hardy make a mockery of the genre for monetization

I’m Jack Hardy and I approve this message lol 10/10 song!
Is that actually your name?! LOL!
🤣
Sweet, haha!!
That's bad ass haha
Yeah. Own it.
This genre is called hopeless despair. Something that can speak to anyone no matter their music preferences. And it feels genuine
My name is Jack
I'm 52. If this would have came out 30 years ago, it definitely woulda been my theme song. And my Alpine would be blasting that shit! 💯
Hey Jack I there's this girl I need help with
Whaaa... Brah im 45 and my kickers are bumpin this as we speek... and there goes some car alarms.... oops...
Hardy has been the best songwriter for a while now. Cool to watch him grow in that.
This song is perfect to me.
I never heard of this band until a few days ago when Jack came on my pandora. Now, I can't stop playing the song. It brings me back to the 90's when I listened to tons of great rock music. I can't wait to hear more from them. My only complaint is I wish this song was longer.
I really appreciate this thanks,I do this once in a while to no how my fans feel about me thanks for your love and support it really means a lot to me and how long have you been my my fans I we like to hear from you.

@@anneheigh8717 thats not the correct phone number, nor the correct Hardy youtube account!
Actually, Hardy is a country artist (listen to Wait In The Truck). But he's got many influences outside of country, so seeing this doesn't surprise me. He's a hell of an artist.
This is BY FAR the best rock song I’ve listened to on these last years!! Very old school, so 2000’s! I’m in love, I never thought I would one day hear something that good again. 😍
Cheers from France!
Good song
Rock ?
Il y a cette vieille vibe de Puddle Of Mudd avec une prod impeccable ! C'est un régal la découverte de ce groupe !
"Don't listen to mama, hell I ain't the devil"-exactly what the devil would say!! Great song. Hits hard!
Exactly what your mama would say as a witch summoning for him
so funny
I'm 70 years old. Heard this song on local rock station. Absolutely search for it on other stations till I found the name of the artist, the cuts name. I'm wild about it!
Almost Tom Pettyish & heavy, strong beat ROCK!
Stay healthy, Hardy
I will be 70 in October. This is my new favorite song. Can't say I knew Hardy before this.
Liking it because 1) I can hear/understand all the words 2) guessed the meaning of the song (and was correct) 3) like the sound. 4) can relate to the lyrics 5) excellent summation of Jack Daniel's ❤🎉😊
Me too. 65 years old.
65 here... been on him for a while... check out some of his other older stuff... kids a talent !!
😊 ❤ 🎉
I’m 11…
If you haven’t already figured it out “Jack” is Jack Daniel’s. New Hardy fan
Anybody who has ever dealt with addiction feels this song in their soul!! ❤❤❤ music like this is why we love hardy.
I was buying a bottle of Jack as this was released, and it definitely hits home. Hardy killin’ it again.
So far, you’re the only person to comment on the actual content of this song other than me. Crazy crazy awesome lyrics.
Yes, love this song!!!
@HARDY. fake hardy
Be safe friend 🙏

Everyone talking about sound but not the story. This writing is so good, as always!
This hits hard. My dad, my grandma, and I struggled with alcohol addiction
hits me hard too but it's a good reminder that you can ruin your life so easily while having a great time.
@@seancostello4158 love that
@@cryttrchallengetime7771 my grandparents all struggled badly with addiction, and i do myself, and i cant help but find this song to be a comfort
I've listened to most music, and I love this song... gives me chills how deep it really is... if you grew up in that situation or are a product of it, you understand.
His band puts on one hell of a show. Drummer is badass live
Fr
Absolutely. He has become one of my favorites now since I saw him on the Wallen tour. Almost stole the show for me! (Almost)🤫
Harry Miree!! Dude is awesome!
@@AnythingWeThinkOf thanks! I could never find the names of his band members
Harry Miree is beloved in the drum community. There isn’t much on his UA-cam channel but his videos about pro musician life are absolutely hilarious.
About a year sober, finally quit after a bottle landed me in the slammer for the last time and had to sleep outside at first. Im doing great now but i still get urges and when I do, I listen to this song and my resolve is strengthened. Thank you for this gem.
Congratulations!
@@rebeccacranford8090 thank you 💚
Nice!
Keep the struggle alive always go forward and never backward.
Stay strong man. Proud of you.
This song hits home. Makes me think about drinking and reminds me why I don't anymore all at the same time. Can't stop listening to it.
Glad you don't drink anymore James! As a recovering alcoholic, this amazing song hits me hard. I love the message in the lyrics, alcohol is the devil when you like it too much!
“Rock bottom ain’t as bad when you rockin with me!”
This has those late 90's/early 2000's rock chords... love it! Hardy is good no matter what genre.
It reminds me of a song but I can't figure out which song. Yes! It has that 90's/2000's rock vibes. Almost grunge. I love it
@@bretlagasse3560let it rock I believe
@@bretlagasse3560 Shinedown........ Pick a song lol!
Oh I agree. I could hear several bands playing this song in my head from the early 2000's!
@Bret Legase. This is almost certainly not it, but it does something simialr to the good parts of rihannas Shut Up and Drive.
This man is already a Legend of his time. Such an awesome song 🤘 🎙🎸🥁
The guy absolutely nails everything he does. Absolutely a Legend of an artist.
This song came out right after my nephew died of alcoholism and two months before his dad died of the same disease. They both loved Jack more than life, and Jack repaid them with death. I cry every time I hear this song.
As someone who hates country music I'm absolutely blown away with how good this song is. A country artist delivering an absolute rock banger! Only wish it was long! Amazing
What do you mean? It's the most bland mainstream rock nonsense that's been around since the 2000s. It's horrible.
John Styles is 1000% correct in my book! 🤘🏻
@@decrox13 there is no such thing as "correct rock" grandpa
@@decrox13 better than hearing Metallica, ACDC, GNR, and awful 80s hair bands for another 40 years. Alter Bridge, a modern hard rock band, blows the simpleton 80s rock away.

Hardy is exactly what country needed! 🔥
He’s like country and Rock and I love him so much. 90s alternative vibes ❤
Wow. I am a new fan! 64 yo headbanger, never listened to “country” much. But Hardy is the man. Love your songs and your versatile voice! ❤
Can’t lie I’m here from wwe2k23 shit fire
@HARDY you’re not the real 💀
facts i was creating my character when this banger came on damn near put on the wrong hair piece not paying attention
💯💯💯
Lol same
Damn Hardy didn’t have to go this heavy on us! I need more!
Sold out is still one of my favorite songs ever and I’m glad to see Hardy didn’t let the country metal fusion be a one and done!
Came to this song just because of 2k23. True Masterpiece.
Hardy totally missed his calling going country, he has the potential to be the next Nirvana.
Man Hardy is putting out some music that hits so damn hard recently
I told my two sons about 15 years ago that one day the pop of their early teens would be long gone and they would return to their redneck raising. They are both in their mid-twenties and listening to music like this and the old classics. Turns out old Pops was right about some things in life.
I have been a Hardy fan for years, but this one… wow. This hits different.
Hardy, just when I thought that you couldn’t possibly get any more fantastic. This personification of so many people’s relationship with Jack - this is an absolute masterpiece.
It's a rare thing to hear a song and know immediately It's epic. There's nothing new about heavy rock/country fusion. It's graduation into the "new rock" genre is long overdue.
Rock on Mr. Hardy! Just incredible.
I'm a metal guy, but I'm definitely on board for Hardy. Good shit.
He’s a metal head and there’s gonna be some heavy shit on the album just wait 🤘🏼
Place like twice a day on the station I listen to
hardy is fuckin dope, ive even been listening to their country after hearing this song, this man can write a good song
Same here. 😃🤘
Missing persons warrants posted
This is hands down Hardy’s best lyrical work in my opinion
Damn I disagree I think it is “ wait in the truck” it is so good and deep
Wait in the truck
Never been a big country guy but this song kicks so much ass. I’m obsessed! 🙌
Can we all take a moment to acknowledge the brilliant directing? When Jack is introducing himself, he’s playing a very alluring tune, but he’s also moving on the edges of the light. When he grabs the camera, he’s in the viewer’s face, but he’s also intentionally isolating them from the others around him (literally his bandmates, but metaphorically the friends and loved ones in the song.) And then, of course, everything is destroyed as the rain pours down, and the flashing lights resemble that of sirens, and Jack walks away, leaving the consequences of that annihilating outburst to the kid who listened to him. Absolutely breathtaking!
The only problem with this song... I would love it to be another verse or two longer. Freakin ROCKS
This is a hard rock tune from a great country artist. Wait in the truck is also on my playlist. This guy seems real and down to earth with what’s going on
that guitar rift is simply amazing! and the lyrics to the verse's are so absolute. the chorus just blends in so well. this band will definitely get to the top no doubt.
He makes great music, but Hardy is an amazing storyteller.
As an alcoholic stuck in between "living sober" and "fuck it", I love this song. Alcohol is a hell of a drug. It can give you the best night of your life or the worst night of your life. But either way, it'll be there in the morning to soothe the emotional pain and send you right back into that same kind of blackout you regretted an hour ago. "Rock bottom ain't as bad when you're rockin' with me"
JACK IS JACK DANIELS!!!
Came here from WWE 2k23, this track really is a BEAST of a song. Been listening to this nonstop❤
I remember hearing hit songs for the first time during the 80’s/90’s and just knowing the song would be around forever. I swear I haven’t had that feeling in more than 20 years since the current pop sound just doesn’t make any sense. I heard “Jack” for the first time yesterday on an XM rock station. The first verse blew me away and I had to stop the car to listen to the rest. Now I’m not a fan of country, and I never heard of Hardy before, but this guy is here in the rock/country crossover genre to stay, and I hope to hear a lot more of him from here on in.
100% agree, I know exactly what you mean and Hardy is it. Same with Try That In A Small Town
For those who don’t know the drummer in this video, Harry Miree is a modern day dude who has devoted his life to rocking his life away behind the kit everyday he can. He doesn’t get caught up in lucrative sponsorships which is also why he’s broke. He wears the same blue jeans, black shirt, and black converse everyday like he has the past 8 years of his life. He’s very expressive, talented and only cares about rocking out and making the best music he can. Hell yeah Harry.
Heard this today at 6AM while driving to work and needless to say I was wide awake after
Hardy proving once again he transcends genre.
Number 1 on Rock charts! You rock @hardy
I love this. Crossing all music from country to rap to metal is something that sounds like I always should have heard it before. Hardy and Jellyroll are out there just killing it. So good.
God I hope his album is hard rock like this. We need somebody to keep the flame alive.
A monster poet. Your use of language never ceases to draw me into greater appreciation for your music... my husband is hooked now too! We are dying to see Hardy LIVE. Yeeesssss!
I seen him live at rock the south in cullman he was awesome he blew the roof off that concert the drummer was badass I felt the vibe comeing off those drums
Saw him a couple weeks ago in Columbia SC. He brought down the house. Absolutely amazing show.
I’m from Wisconsin, but I’m making the trip to Peoria (for my birthday!) to see the show live … and I CAN NOT WAIT!
Amount of country artist he wrote for is insane. I play his albums all the time at work, country, rock, metal all mixed in one
If hardy dropped a nu metal or just metal album he’d break their charts alone. Country aside. Dirt on my boots was harder than a lot of the songs that came out that year in their genre. Hardy has it in him and clearly loves that music. Dude could literally be award winning in a few genres.
I feel truly blessed to live at the same time as Hardy. True story telling music still exists. Thank you.
I really appreciate this thanks,I do this once in a while to no how my fans feel about me thanks for your love and support it really means a lot to me and how long have you been my my fans I we like to hear from you.
Yall know how shocked I was when after hearing this song and sold out, I find out he's actually a country artist? I was confused as hell seeing a lot of people I know going to his concerts and knowing damn well that's not the type music they listen to lol Keep up the bangers, especially the rock ones🔥
My brother is currently in a clinic trying to dry out. He has been struggling with his addiction for the past 4 years, his wife hads had enough, hence the clinic.
This song rather hits home.
Best of luck to your brother to beat his addiction man
I just fell in love with Hardy!!! Didn’t know he could rock like this!!! Screw Morgan Wallen! HARDY is my new favorite!!! This is awesome!!!
This is 100% the best, most real song in a long ass time
If I had to describe the bad friend i had this would be it and the father it came from and so it was his, this is it. hammer on the nail head right here. I now make sure my daughters will never have to see or have to go through it too! this song is a blessing. this was my shame.
Really solid song haha. Didn’t realize how versatile this man was! Loving all of it!
Getting MAD levels of late 90s/Early 00s vibes from this song, especially from the guitar. I need more!
This band will go down as one of the greatest bands of all time.
I can't wait for the album. You are an incredibly versatile artist lyrically and vocally! So proud of your success and recognition.
This is just a genius rock song. Bottom line... So awesome.
First saw this man at the 2022 Royal Rumble and now heard his song in 2k23. Dude is actually dope asf
The song we didn't know we needed
Keep them rock tunes coming bro. The people have spoken, 1.7m views in a month... bring the rock Jack!
This song is EXCEPTIONAL!!
Well done!
He gives me certain vibes; reminds me of someone we know… but absolutely holds his own, owns his own and is gonna float boats. That is super stokin’ upward motion. Enjoy the ride!
Song so good they are playing it on both the country stations and the rock stations around here
These guys were born too late. They'd fit PERFECTLY into the '80s with me ... AWESOME song 👍
I'm 59, guitar player since 15. I remember my first bar chords.😂
Don't like country, but I acknowledge country and rock come from those same bluesy roots. That's why this song works so well. Wish he could do more of that. Maybe in the future.
Aint no fan of country music AT ALL. BUT THIS ALBUM SLAPS. I have listened to it everyday since Cutter from Razor 104.7 in Green Bay talked about it. Finally an entire album with clever lyrics and great music. I dunno which song is my favorite; Jack? Sold Out? Beer? Wait in the Truck? 30.06? Radio Song? Thank you Michael for doing this album! My neighbors are enjoying it as well; even if they didn’t ask! 😉
You don't put a bad song out. Keep it up my brother!
I just heard this song on the radio at home. I love the sound and the song!! Definitely want more!
There really are two phases to listening to this song. First, you listen to it blindly thinking of that uncle figure guiding a young boy, then you have the realization that Jack is just alcohol. I will never be able to hear this song the same way and that is in a way beautiful.
Get Kid Rock vibes from this. Love to see a collaboration of the two
Love Hardy’s rock side!!! We NEED more 👊
We needed Hardy
Thank you Eagles for making country rock a thing.
My 9 year old son after hearing this for the first time......."That. WAS. Amazing!" 😳 I said I know right....😁
"country music"... That kicks ass!
I remember my first bar chords. I'm 59, guitar enthusiasts, started at 15.😊
Replace Jack with crack, song takes a huge vibe change. You will never unhear this 😂
As an alcoholic, I can say that this song is right on the nose. I always get that hot blonde after a little encouragement from my Uncle Jack.
....did you?

Holy shit, haven't had a song give me chills in ages until this! 🖤
