Too bad the pittsburgh offense was the 3rd worst in football

Ah yes. The days of the offensive blitzkrieg that was Richard Huntley, Will Blackwell, and Mark Bruener. 16 was a lot of points for that team

Bruener was actually a pretty good tight end if I remember correctly

The loss of Yancy Thigpen and OC Chan Gailey was felt.

This was the unfortunate result of guys leaving in free agency. Kordell had no proven receivers and a new OC and it showed

It's awesome and the Steelers D still "haunts" a Harbough to this day. It is was so weird hearing "AFC Central". Thanks for another fine upload.

1998 was a weird year for the Steelers. Kordell struggled heavily with a new OC, but the team found a way to win games for a while. Lost 5 straight to miss the playoffs and finish 7-9.

Most of knew Stewart wasn't going to be a good starter. I do think he should have embraced his slash role for his career. He'd have gone down as one of the best role players in the history of the game. Look at the 2 qbs pit drafted, Randal El and Ward. They had no problem changing and it made them better for it. Now Stewart wasn't as athletic as those 2 and had an absolute cannon for an arm, but he was great when used right. There was that qb from Nebraska who refused to change to wr and didn't have a career hardly at all. I think the rams picked him up. That was in the 90s also.
