Thing is the emotion doesn’t really hit as Hard since it’d Dragon Ball, and none of the losses along the way are permanent because of, well the Dragon Balls. Aside from Grandpa Gohan, there really isn’t anyone that Goku cared about that was lost for good.

When ALL of dragon Ball ends (which I hope won’t be for a while) I want the ending to be something that would involve grandpa Gohan and Goku having a true special moment together, like Gohan with king kai or something talking about the Legacy of Goku and grandpa Gohan having a small tear roll down his face of how proud of his grandson he is.
Trust me I love Bardock and I’d love to see a moment with Bardock and Goku as well but come on! Grandpa Gohan doesn’t get enough love, some people don’t even remember him!

Grewing up with a small tv and waiting every week with my brothers just to watch, dbz reruns was truly a blessful part of my life even though we where not financially stable.and yes we wrestled and used Kamehameha waves at eachother. I played this song ever new year as a tradition but since akira toriyama passing I decided to break that tradition thank you akira toriyama you’ve made my childhood..you got me into anime..and Shaped me into the man who I am today thank you again..and enjoy Heaven.

I come back here 4 years later.
When I first heard the song, I thought it was catchy. That's it.
Then read that it was a song about Goku's feelings towards grandpa Gohan, so I thought "how sweet"
My father passed away last year late September. Heart attack in his sleep.
I listened to this song once more and realized that I never truly understood this song.
Every so often I listen to it and it makes me tear up every time.
As it is said, I will always keep a part of him inside of me.
Lets hope that the day that his memory turns fuzzy is long and deep down my road of life.
I can't wait to see him again.

I see this song more as people being depressed about goku being gone for so long and not knowing if he'll ever come back. It was this longing that caused AF to come into existence and keep the spark going. And eventually dragon ball came back. Goku came back.

Coming here every time when super episode ends. The Funimation dub version was not that good. Couldn't understand what the singer was saying. This shall be the true official dub version to me. Thumbs up if you agree.
Tbh I preffer this one, cause not only is it more audible, but it really sounds like more effort was put into it.

This song is too relatable to the current events, RIP Akira Toriyama
To me this song, represents Goku unending desire to continue to grow stronger but when you hear the lyrics it almost sounds like it’s a tragedy,but despite the odds or challenges and he’ll push on through no matter what happens. Some people would see Goku way of life as primal for just fighting all his life. But for Goku fighting is everything to him it’s his life and he wants to break through the boredom with something that he is passionate about. To me at least Goku doesn’t want to focus what’s the meaning of life, or if he has purpose, instead finds fighting to be his happiness. And that’s enough for him.

Nah, Goku's grandfather raised Goku when he found Goku as a baby, and trained him in some martial arts. Goku knew Gohan for quite well a long time before Gohan's accidental death caused by Goku's giant monkey transformation.
Why does this song affect me so much? I must have listened to this well over 30 times and each time i cant hold back the tears. I guess i feel so many parallel feelings to the lyrics but masako and mark's voices send shivers down my spine like they poured their souls into singing every word, so beautiful.
