Thank you so much for this because I would buy egg roll wraps to make egg rolls, of course, but then I would not have any idea of what I could possibly do with the rest of them. Anyway I, personally, thank God for blessing big and small & everything in between & I thank God for you & this video you put out for us!! Thank you!❤😊
I love that you showed your "failure" with the cherry pie filling. That was particularly helpful because it's the sort of thing a lot of people would try to do. (I've wondered about using pie filling in eggroll wrappers myself.) So it helps prevent people like me from doing that in our kitchens! Thanks 🙏
This was fab. I did not spray my cheese cherry rolls with oil. I brushed egg mix lightly on them and kept them in 10 min each side at 400°. They turned out wonderful
Hi Stacy, I make crispy chili rellenos in an air fryer. I use a slice of colby jack cheese and a mild green chili. Roll them up and cook then at 400° for 8 minutes. I do not turn my rellenos over at the half way mark. Our son doesn't like chilies so I substitute sliced olives for the chilies and they are gobbled up.
@Jutta Kasapis - Hey Jutta! No worries :) Thank you so much for stopping by and checking it out though, we definitely appreciate all of the love and support you show our little channel! Hope you are well! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Great ideas! I need to try a few. I made veggie egg rolls and ran out of filling... so for dessert (seeing your ideas here) I didn't want to open up a can of pie filling, but I DID have some leftover baked 'dump cake' (cherry pie filling, canned pineapple, yellow cake mix, butter, coconut, etc...) that I rolled in the extra egg roll wrappers. (sprayed them with canola spray and air fried at 400 f for about 6 minutes, flipping over and then a few minutes more, depending on the size.) The already baked dessert filling is more set up and there is that creamy, hot yellow cake mix flavor... YUM. Then I had one egg roll wrapper left... and put about a Tblsp. of mini chocolate chips in it... and wow... so delicious! Breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert... love egg roll wrappers.~ Thanks for the upload
Philly girl here, a lot of restaurants have Philly cheesesteak egg rolls as appetizers on their menu and they are delicious. Most recipes on the internet for anything Philly cheesesteak tells you to add green peppers. We don't put green peppers and our cheese steaks. But I would love to see you try them because most restaurants deep fry them and I would love to see how they come out in the air fryer. I'm definitely going to try The cheeseburger and taco egg rolls.
I’ve done the fruitfilling egg rolls but I deep fried them. They fry up fast enough that there’s no chance of getting soggy. I’ve used all flavors of canned pie filling this way, yummy! I plan on getting an air fryer, just don’t have the means quite yet. I’m anxious to try all the other recipes on this video. Thank you much.
Hi Stacy....you can use canned pie filling but the trick is to add a cornstarch slurry and boil the pie filling till it thicken up. I make mine real thick because it will thin out in the oven a bit.
@Priscilla Archibeque - Thanks so much for watching! We have a few other videos about using one ingredients in several different recipes. You might want to check out a popular one on our channel using crescent rolls :) Have a blessed day ---Stacy
@Paula Tabers - Hi Paula! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching our "bonus" video this week, LOL! We definitely appreciate the support and kind comments :) Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Hi Stacy, this summer we’ve make Vietnamese spring rolls. They are delicious we use rotisserie chicken, cucumbers, carrots, noodles and mint. Little harder to wrap but with some practice it gets easier. Best part you don’t cook them. They are so refreshing and delicious. Love ALL types of egg rolls. ❤️
@Nancy W - Hi Nancy! Thank you so much for stopping by today and watching our latest video! I would love to try making spring rolls, but I have never ever seen rice paper wrappers in any of our stores. It's just not a product that we have where we live. I have a hard enough time finding either egg roll wrappers or sometimes wonton wrappers, it's very hit or miss. I love spring rolls and often order them when we go out, but sadly, Tim does not like the texture or taste of them, so it's not something that is practical for me to make. Yours sound delicious, summery and healthy too, so I know y'all have been really enjoying them!! Eat one for me!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
I enjoyed this video. I bought the wrappers to make peach egg rolls. I used fresh peaches so it wasn’t real wet. They were delicious! I’m trying some of your ideas. Thank you!
@FrugalMommaNTheWoods - it was fun to experiment and try some different kinds! I think that I enjoyed the breakfast ones more than Tim, he seemed to prefer the filling in a flour tortilla, like a quick breakfast burrito, more than in the crunchy egg roll wrapper. But we definitely ate them, LOL!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Hi Stacy, you got me "rolling" yesterday and I was amazed by how good my Asian rolls came out! I also wanted to let you know that for the sweet rolls I used guava paste and a little bit of cream cheese and they didn't explode. My parents were from Cuba and for us, guava is one of our favorite fruits and of course, here in South Florida you can get it in all the imaginable versions; so I had a can of very thick guava paste and cut some slivers and the rolls were to die for. I hope you can get some and give it a try. Blessings to y'all!
@Walt G - Thank you so much for stopping by and watching, and for the awesome comments! I hope they help you with some ideas of things to try at your house. Have a blessed day ---Stacy
These look AMZING! There’s not even one we wouldn’t enjoy! One of the best array of snack food ever! And try to find somebody who doesn’t love an ooey gooey, crispy, cheesey finger food snack? My mouth is watering! WAH! 🫣😮😖 I want some now….lol! 😏😏😏
@PAPA Texas - Hi there, and welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel, and for taking the time to watch and leave us a comment. We are so glad you are here, and we hope that you will enjoy the content on our channel. 💖💜 Oh yes, egg roll wraps are fun and the possibilities are endless, I've decided! Funny story, I had never tried to make any kind of an egg roll until 2020. Covid, and doing grocery pickup had me experimenting and trying things, and I learned quickly just how easy and fun it is to roll up things in an egg roll wrap, put it in the air fryer for 10 minutes, and have a yummy result! There's several more varieties we want to try, but there's only so many recipe testing ventures I can do before we start to burn out on an item or ingredient. Since it's just the two of us, I don't try to cook the same thing over and over, as we like a lot of variety, so it took quite a while to try out several of these and find out if we liked them or not. We hope the video gives you some ideas for fun new things to try at your house! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@JuJu Bi - Hey there JuJu! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out our latest video - you are so sweet! We had fun experimenting with all kinds of different ways to use these. I had never tried egg roll wrappers until a couple of years ago, believe it or not! We've got a couple more Japanese inspired dishes coming up in our next weekly dinner video (on Sunday) and I hope you enjoy them!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@FrugalMommaNTheWoods - Hey Beth! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching! I hope you and Carmen are well and having a good summer, we are alternating between hot and dry and then cooler and wetter over here. Such a weird summer! We love homemade egg rolls too, and the traditional asian ones are so good, and so nice to have in the freezer too :) Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
I've done this about 30 years ago when I lived overseas. I did hot dogs with cheese and also jalapeno with cheese. My family was so tired of me trying everything in an eggroll wrapper. We skillet fried ours.
@Jennifer Ghormley - Hi Jennifer, and welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel, and for taking the time to watch and leave us a comment. We are so glad you are here, and hope that you will enjoy the content on our channel. 💜 That's cool that you lived overseas and had egg roll wrappers readily available. I don't think I started seeing them in stores where we live until about 6-8 years ago. We certainly had a fun time trying out a lot of variations for this video on our channel, and it sounds like you had fun trying out many on your family too 😂 Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Hello Stacy and Tim ! I was in our local grocery store and happened to see egg roll wrappers. My immediate thought was, what would Stacy do?…..With a big comforting smile. Thank you for the smile and chuckle . 😎 Perfect timing !
@Stacey Burge - Hey Stacey!! LOL!! Thanks so much for stopping by and watching, and for your comments, they definitely brought a smile to my face! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
The breakfast ones really look good I would dip them in pepper gravy. I would try dessert one with lemon zest and skip cherries can’t wait to try these
@Diane Hoffman - Hi Diane, and welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel, and for taking the time to watch and leave us a comment. We are so glad you are here, and hope that you will enjoy the content on our channel. 💜 Yum, the pepper gravy is a great idea! Please let us know if you try any of these and how they work for you :) Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍
@Christy Rouse - Hey Christy! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching! Yes, this is the sixth in this series, and we are working on more, along with more individual recipe videos. So glad you are enjoying the content 😇💗💖 Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@brianna murphy - Hey Brianna! Thank you so much for stopping by today and watching! We love cheeseburger anything, so these were a huge hit here! LOL! I hope you get a chance to try them some time :) Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
I just made these with shredded slaw mix. Turned out great. I fried them all. Let cool, then wrapped separately and froze, then thawed one and heated it in the air fryer. Turned out great. I also made three long sushi rolls with Nori. Those turned out great also. This is fun food. One thing . I can’t store sushi longer than two days. The rice gets very dry. If anyone found a way to store sushi for a few days , let me know.
@Carol Potts - Hey Carol! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching our latest video! You mentioned our three favorites too (though I don't usually have ground pork for the asian ones and often sub ground turkey or ground beef) - great minds think alike! LOL! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@traceeporter5935 - Hi Tracee! Thank you so much for stopping by! We love cheeseburger anything and have a playlist with several cheeseburger tasting recipes in it. My personal favorite is the cheeseburger wraps, which is pressed in a flour tortilla, so be sure to check out that video! In fact, they are on my menu to do very soon, since they are a huge hit here :) Have a blessed day ---Stacy
I’ve made apple egg rolls using a can of fried apples (not apple pie filling), mixed with some brown sugar and cinnamon. Used some warmed caramel sauce to dip them in. They were delicious and nothing seeped out. I’ve had the same problem you had when I tried to use pie filling. Too gloopy! Love your channel and just subscribed!
@Laura Ruthruff - Hey Laura!! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out this video! We had fun trying all of these, and you definitely picked our favorites (besides traditional asian ones, we loved the cheeseburger and then taco ones the most!) I hope you get to try them, and please keep me updated if you do!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
I just saw a cherry egg roll recipe and she just put the cream cheese, little pieces right off the block and laid it on top of the filling. She only used about 3 Tbsp. Of the filling before rolling it up. But she cooked it on top of the stove in a little oil, until golden brown. Just like the McDonald's apple and cherry pies. They looked so good. Thanks for all your recipes. Thats on my wish list an air fryer.
@Amy J - Hey there Amy! Thanks so much for stopping by, and hooray! I hope you do get a chance to try at least one - the taco and cheeseburger were our favorites, besides the traditional asian style ones. I really like to make those and put extra in the freezer for us (though with your hungry crew, I doubt there would be leftovers!) Hope you guys are having a great summer! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Well Hello Stacy. I'm so glad that I found y'all again. it's been a really long time. How are Y'all doing? I'm still alive thank The Lord above. I'm going to try your recipes. I Love egg rolls so I'm looking forward to making these. I've got a lot of your videos that I have to watch. I Hope That Y'all Have a Wonderful Week. God Bless Y'all. Love from Indiana.
Tip: I found that the sauce mixes better if I put tomato paste in the bowl first THEN add my tomato sauce a little at a time to it👍😋. Great recipes and helps to see you using an air fryer. I’m still not convinced to buy one yet…I plan to cut some egg roll wrappers and make dumplings and wontons too!👏
All of these were great ideas! I’ve never used egg roll wrappers for anything other than egg rolls. Shrimp egg rolls or imitation crab ones. But I’ve never made them up & froze them because when my kids were growing up, they could eat their weight in egg rolls!😉 Have a great wk Stacy!😁💜
@Kathy Conger - Hi Kathy! Thanks so much for stopping by! I bet you had a hard time keeping food in the house, once your kids got to be ravenous teenagers, LOL! Maybe you can try to freeze some now? :) I started out by learning to make traditional asian style ones, but then branched out in order to offer some hopefully interesting and helpful content on the YT channel (the things we do for UA-cam, LOL!). I need to do some shrimp or crab ones, that sounds really good right about now, LOL!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@@LetsCookYall Lol! Yes, they were ravenous! All the time! My son loves egg rolls! If I made any up now, I would have to hide them in my freezer as every time my son comes over he snoops through my freezer for things he doesn’t have at his house. If he found them, he would eat some now & take some home!🤦🏼♀️ You can’t win, even when your kids are 44yrs old! 🙄😉
@Kathy Conger - LOL! But just go with the positive side of the coin - he still wants to come see his mama, even after 44 years! We had lunch with some friends a few days ago and they tragically lost their adult son in a weird state of events (he was diabetic and had an episode and no one was near him and he ended up passing away) - so make him some good food, put it in the freezer with his name on it and send him home with a smile on his face! Have a great day! Hugs - Stacy
@@LetsCookYall Oh, I don’t mind it at all! That’s a great idea though about making it up & putting it in the fridge or freezer with his name on it! Since my daughter passed 4 yr ago. I’m more than happy to share with him & his family! If my daughter was still here, she would be too!! Hugs to you too Stacy!💜
I like to get the flavored cream cheese & fry that up. The onion chive is wonderful but I also make sweet ones simply using the wildberry or brown sugar flavors. I'll also do ham & cheese, cheese, onion chive cream cheese ham & cheese & so on.
@FrugalMommaNTheWoods - we love tex-mex food too, and I plan a Taco Tuesday pretty much every week! I think it is part of where we live, don't you?! LOL!
@Jess & The Boys - Hey Jess!! Thanks so much for stopping by! We had a lot of fun trying different variations for this video :) Besides the traditional asian ones, the cheeseburger and taco were our favorites, go figure, LOL!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@karen lyle - Hi Karen, and welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel, and for taking the time to watch and leave us a comment. We are so glad you are here, and hope that you will enjoy the content on our channel. 💜 We've got several other videos in this series, all using one ingredient. Some of our favorites include what to make with Crescent Rolls, Naan bread, imitation crab meat, lentils, and even pepperoni Hope you get a chance to check some of them out. Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@Carolyn Connelly - Hi Carolyn! Thank you so much for stopping back by our channel and checking out this latest video in our "What Can I Make With" series :) We hope you will get a chance to check out some of our other cooking videos, or our weekly "What's For Dinner". We definitely appreciate the support! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@JCinLapel - Hi there! Thanks so much for stopping by again and watching! Yes, that is definitely the way to go because I learned the hard way that canned pie filling does not work - it's much much too wet! Fresh fruit thickened with cornstarch should be great, I bet they are delicious!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@@LetsCookYall The other trick I completely spaced on was double warps. if you put water or a light egg wash on a whole sheet of egg roll they will form one twice as thick sheet and will cook normally. It wasn't till I put wrapper on my shopping list it hit me
@Cathy Feigert - Hey Cathy!! Thank you so much for stopping by today and checking out this latest video! We had a blast testing out all of these recipes with egg roll wrappers, and the egg roll in a bowl one is really good! You can easily make it on the stovetop, no Instant Pot needed, just be sure to make lots of the crispy egg roll crisps to have with it, it really helps texture wise to have that crunch. I was really hopeful too, but in all fairness, I took a shortcut by not making my own filling and trying to sub canned store bought pie filling. So that was all on me, but we still ate them (they just never did get crispy at all because the filling was too wet). Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Maybe... a 2nd wrapper on the cherry cheese ones. I'd try wrapping 1st layer then lay sealed side down on 2nd wrapper, then wrap. All are great ideas and I'm gonna try all but the pickle one! Thank you 😃
@FrugalMommaNTheWoods - the pizza ones were good, and we did try a few variations. The ones that worked best for us had less sauce on the inside, so they stayed crispier 👍😜
The taco eggrolls, if you make them with a shredded beef and fry them, that is a chimichanga. I just had two packages of eggrolls when I was on a eggroll kick a month ago, so I decided I gotta be able to make something with these and your ideas are really good, I have a big daddy fryer, because I love to make steak fries, but I think I will make these in my fryer and drain them really well on paper towels.
@Stephanie English - Hi Stephanie, and welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel, and for taking the time to watch and leave us a comment. We are so glad you are here, and hope that you will enjoy the content on our channel. 💜 I'm really new to the whole egg roll game, but almost everything we tried to test for this video came out great. Using an egg wash or just simply water worked well for us to close them up, but good to know that you can go with a thicker paste of flour as well. I bet if you deep fat fry them, that helps keep them more secure and sealed. Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍
Yum! I love your ideas! Two things: 1. Instead of draining the glaze from the cherries, add a can of well-drained dark cherries. (The juice is good to drink.) That shifts the ratio to more cherries and less glaze. Also, use the filling sparingly so the wrapper doesn’t get soggy. 2. Reuben egg rolls are my favorite thing! Dice the ham and Swiss. Spread on the wrapper. Add a little well-drained sauerkraut. Serve with thousand island dipping sauce.
These are just a few that I have made with egg roll wraps. My family calls them "roll ups" .......................Pizza, S'mores, Taco roll ups (been making them for over 35 yrs) Fruit pies of all kinds, Reuben rollups, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Pulled Pork or Beef BBQ w cheese, Shredded Chicken taco rollups..........honestly, the options are as endless as your imagination.
@TeNice Xoxo - Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out this video! Oh, we LOVE cheeseburger anything around here! One of our first videos we ever shared on our channel are our Cheeseburger wraps, and we've shared several other cheeseburger flavored dishes on our channel as well. The cheeseburger egg rolls and the taco egg rolls were our favorites (along with the traditional asian style ones to have with stir fries and Chinese food!). I hope you get a chance to try them, or try the Cheeseburger wraps - they are so good!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@Cecille Chapman - Hi Cecille! Thanks so much for stopping by and watching our latest video! I'm with you, I love egg roll anything too! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@Julie Vanerem - Hi Julie! Thanks so much for stopping by and watching! That's a great idea, thanks for reminding me about that! We make cheeseburgers wraps (using an old George Foreman or our panini press) and I usually add pickles to those, so I don't know why I didn't think of that. ua-cam.com/video/l6Bcv7URuKU/v-deo.html Have a blessed day! ---Stacy
These look so interesting, especially the cherry ones that were a fail (at least they tasted good though!). I'd love to try the taco ones, those look delicious!
@Still Single Stephanie - Hey Stephanie!! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching! It was a lot of fun to learn to make homemade asian egg rolls, and then I had so much fun trying different variations so that we could share them on the channel 😎💖 I think you should try the taco ones, I bet you will love them!! They are really easy and fun to make, and we enjoyed them all, even the fail (which was all on me, I used canned store bought pie filling rather than making my own). Let me know if you try the taco or maybe the cheeseburger or regular Asian style ones! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Those all look really good and you're making me want to find a package of egg roll wrappers! I haven't made egg roll in a bowl in a while so maybe I'll remember to add it to my menu later. I could go for any of those, now that I have an air fryer I need to try them. I was thinking that even though the cherry ones were a bit wet or you thought they flopped, with sugar, cream cheese and cherries surely they taste good! I would eat them! Fun experiments.
@Gail B - Hey Gail! Thanks so much for stopping by and watching! Yes, you should get a package, make egg roll in a bowl with half, and then make either the taco or cheeseburger (our personal favorites) with the rest of the package. Easy to do in the air fryer! Yes, it was very fun to test this content for our UA-cam channel. Even the cherry cheesecake mistakes were eaten, even though they never got crispy. That was total execution error on my part, by substituting a shortcut of canned pie filling and not making my own fruit filling on the stovetop. Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Another great video. I love this series. I also use egg roll wrappers and crescent roll dough for so many things. So versatile and easy to use. I'm wondering if the cherry cheesecake one would work with double wrappers, though the inner one probably wouldn't get crisp.
@Jan Aardweg - Hey Jan!! Thank you so much for stopping by today and watching our latest video! I'm so glad to hear that you are enjoying these (they are a lot of work, as it's hard to make so many different recipes from one item when you are just cooking for two, LOL!). The original recipe for the cherry cheesecake ones had you making your own thick filling from fresh fruit and a lot of cornstarch, and that likely would have worked better (I was awful and took a shortcut by using canned pie filling). They tasted good but just never got crispy. Hope you get a chance to try one! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@Summer Knight - Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching! LOL, I like that and will take it as a compliment, spice queen :) Hope you get some ideas for things to cook at your house, from some of our videos. Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy
Taco tots! That sounds good! It’s hard to cook for just two people, imagine what it’s like just cooking for one. I always make a normal batch and take some over to my sisters or to some friends, and they’re always so thankful I should start charging.😂
Hi Stacy this is the first time I have watched your program and I subscribed yay! I really love this video don't you just love your airfryer. When I have leftover sauce I put it in a ziplock bag and in the freezer but what I do is I flatten it out very very well so that if I need just a little bit of sauce I can break off some and I don't have to defrost the whole thing I am single and it works for me. Oh boy I am really looking forward to the Philly cheesesteak and the Reuben can't wait! Thanks for the good ideas. Take care.
@Velinda noyb - Hi Velinda, and welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel, and for taking the time to watch and leave us a comment (and especially for subscribing, hooray!). We are so glad you are here, and hope that you will enjoy the content on our channel. 💜 We like to freeze things flat too, that's a great idea. It definitely takes up less space to stack the frozen bags :) Great tip, thanks so much!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍
Hi Stacy! So fun! I think I’ve seen these in our grocery store so I might give them a try in a weekend and make some spring rolls. My family loves Asian food like you do. I would have eaten the cheesecakes too! Lol They still looked good to me! Better than toaster strudel which I love lol Thanks for always working so hard to share these yummy meals with us! Popcorn was my dinner tonight and of course I’m still hungry watching this lol
@Logues Life - Hey Krista!!! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching (I don't know how you have time to sleep, with everything you have on your plate!). We have decent luck with finding egg roll wrappers and sometimes wonton wrappers in our grocery stores, but I have never seen vietnamese rice paper wrappers, which is what is used to make spring rolls. They are lighter and more delicate, and not as thick and chewy as an egg roll wrappers. I really like spring rolls, but sadly, my better half does not (so I get them when we eat out and he can get something else he likes!). Popcorn is a favorite dinner for me too, along with a bowl of cereal, LOL!! Nothing at all wrong with those!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
This was a lot of fun to watch. I love egg rolls. I did try can biscuit dough for fruit filling it works better in air fryer. I just roll out dough and folded over like a turn over. I loved it. I even made some up before baking and put in zip lock and placed in freezer. When I'm ready to bake I will put them in air fryer frozen. I use same temperature as you. There are some guides online. I invested in a couple of cookbooks that have a cooking sheet guideline in back of book. I love my air fryers I own three different kinds
Thank you for a bunch of great ideas! Loved all of them! I wanted to suggest with the cherry pie cream cheese creation that perhaps you could chill the filling perhaps even use the freezer so that it wasn't so runny and also use less filling and make them smaller & double over the wrapper somehow--or use two together one on top of the other and cut them in half and use less filling--I think that may be the problem? Just a suggestion.... I'm probably going to try them this way and see how they work with a smaller size.... (I used to work at McDonald's and fix the pies and when we had problems it was because they weren't frozen enough when we put them in to fry--we actually put them in the deep fryer frozen and they would come out perfect--this way the filling doesn't get too hot and stays inside) Hope this helps! Love your accent (I'm a Yankee! My Daddy was from the South so all of my cousins talk like you... lol)
@beauxmimi77 - Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching! That's a great idea on filling the pie filling. It was a fun experiment, but SUCH a mess, so I'm not sure I will attempt it again, but if you do, we'd love to hear if that worked! Hope you get a chance to try some of these, or more, the ideas are really endless for fillings for egg roll (or wonton) wrappers. So fun! Have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Hey there.. I wonder if the cherry ones would do better if they were fried?? It would crisp up faster and not have a chance to get wet??? I know it's not as healthy...but it could work. Or maybe make smaller ones like the size of cream cheese won tons. Have a great weekend.
@Joie Lynette - Hi Joie! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching our latest video! Following the recipe as it was written and making your own thicker filling would have worked (I took a shortcut trying to use canned pie filling and that is totally on me), so that was the main thing, LOL! Your ideas sound like a good ones!! If you try it, please let me know if it works! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
All the egg rolls look delicious Stacy. I've never seen them or eaten them here. I'm sure I could get them from an Asian supermarket though. We have spring rolls, Vietnamese rice paper rolls and I've made gyoza lots of times. I like with the gyoza that you don't have to cook the filling first because I'm a bit lazy! Lol Happy day to you both from Sally, Les and the fur crew! ♥️😊
@superbellabeau - Hey Sally! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching! We don't live in an area where there is a large Asian population, so my choices are very slim. I absolutely cannot find vietnamese rice paper wrappers, or else I would try making my own spring rolls, as I love those too. I like a no-cook filling too, LOL!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@Stacey Grier - Hi Stacey! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching this one! We had fun trying all of these variations!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Mexican corn salad? Now where can I find the recipe for that one to go with the egg rolls? I watched a few of your videos, love them but couldn’t find the Mexican corn salad. And, thank you for sharing these, they are great.
@Theresa Rosario - Hi Theresa! You have a great eye - we've made the Mexican Street corn salad many times on the weekly dinner videos on our channel. So glad you are enjoying the content, and hope that you find some dinner ideas :) This is the recipe link for the website where we get the Mexican street corn salad (except I leave out the cilantro, because I have that weird thing about it tasting like soap, LOL!): Hope this helps!! --- Stacy ***** The Mexican Street Corn Salad ("Esquite") we make often is based on this recipe (with changes that we make for personal preference, like no cilantro, extra cotija and lots of Trader Joes Elote seasoning) - www.isabeleats.com/mexican-street-corn-tostadas/#wprm-recipe-container-4701
You had me at Frickle. I take a slice of ham put creamcheese and a pickle on it. I have never thought of putting it in an egg roll wrapper. Genius! I was thinking 🤔 the cheesecake egg rolls. Maybe you could fill the wrapper with the creamcheese filling. Cook that. Top it with the fruit filling.
@Niki McLouth - Hey Niki!! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching our latest video! I had never EVER heard of a frickle until I started researching and googling for things to try using egg roll wrappers, for research for this video. We definitely really love them now, so good! As for the cheesecake ones -- following the recipe as it was written and making your own thicker filling would have worked (I took a shortcut trying to use canned pie filling and that is totally on me). Your ideas sound like a solid fix! If you try it, please let me know if it works! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Just warm pie filling and thicken with cornstarch slurry. For the cherry cheesecake egg roll. Then you can still use the store-bought product for ease. And reach the consistency that you're looking for
@Tanya Delaney - Hey Tanya! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching, and for the great tips! I hope they help someone else who wants to try this 💖💜 Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Also if you chill the filling so it is more solidified or even wrap them up and put them in the freezer the filling will stay more solid while the outside cooks.... it is becoming runny because it is too hot so putting in cornstarch likley won't stop this..... try rolling them up and freezing them for 30 or more minutes before frying
@Jeanie Stoltz - Hey Jeanie! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching our latest video! Following the recipe as it was written and making your own thicker filling would have worked (I took a shortcut trying to use canned pie filling and that is totally on me), and your idea sounds like a good one!! If you try it, please let me know if it works! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
@Kathy Conger - I actually did mix the cream cheese mixture with the pie filling, but it was still too wet. Totally an execution error on my part, as I subbed out canned pie filling for the part where you cooked your own filling from fresh fruit. I was just trying to take a short cut and sometimes, they don't work, LOL! I hope someone can learn from my mistake! 😜😂
@@LetsCookYall Well darn! I have a bunch of canned filling & I was hoping to be able to just mix with the cream cheese mixture. Because I just wanna do a short cut also! Lol!🤷🏼♀️ I have fresh, but that of course, requires more work!🥺 Thanks Stacy! Have a great wknd!😊💜
@@kathyconger2188 - LOL, I hear ya! That's what I wanted to do also. We've had several other subscribers make suggestions, so maybe read through the other comments before attempting it. If not, I'd probably use that canned pie filling for turnovers (using either crescent rolls or puff pastry, which is a bit thicker), or else I'd do a crockpot cobbler. I may have to do one of those soon myself, yummy! Have fun and let me know if you try to alter this one and can figure it out, haha!! You have a great weekend too Kathy!
Thank you so much for this because I would buy egg roll wraps to make egg rolls, of course, but then I would not have any idea of what I could possibly do with the rest of them. Anyway I, personally, thank God for blessing big and small & everything in between & I thank God for you & this video you put out for us!! Thank you!❤😊
Thank u so much for sharing. I was never taught anything about cooking, thanks to videos like yours and others , it helps me learn so easily !! ❤️
I love that you showed your "failure" with the cherry pie filling. That was particularly helpful because it's the sort of thing a lot of people would try to do. (I've wondered about using pie filling in eggroll wrappers myself.)
So it helps prevent people like me from doing that in our kitchens!
Don't know how I missed you ! Ty for sharing ! Have a blessed day ! 😊
Thank you so much for all these ideas!!! God bless you and your channel!!
I’m loving this idea. Thank you.
Great video, I’ve been wanting to try these too! Now I will…thanks for sharing!
Great ideas with egg roll wrapper. I bet the cherry was still good!
If you don't have Facebook
You can have someone ask in groups for you
So many people give away free stuff and so on the marketplace for free
Hi Stacy....you can use canned pie filling but the trick is to add a cornstarch slurry and boil the pie filling till it thicken up. I make mine real thick because it will thin out in the oven a bit.
@kudabear - thank you so much for stopping by and watching! That's a great tip - thank you! Have a blessed day ---Stacy
You're right it makes a perfect one in a skillet..in a skillet they go in a shallow pan folded side down..they are good
Very delicious looking, I will try them all👍
I just found you tonight and I learned a lot from you I can't wait to make some of these ...lina powell
Like your ideas with egg rolls wraps and what different ways to use them. Ty enjoyed your video.
@Priscilla Archibeque - Thanks so much for watching! We have a few other videos about using one ingredients in several different recipes. You might want to check out a popular one on our channel using crescent rolls :) Have a blessed day ---Stacy
Great video with great ideas. I'm making some today but I will fry them. Thanks for sharing.

I love the egg roll in a bowl idea! Gotta try that one - thanks 🏆
Thank you!
Breakfast ones sound good to fun, lots of great ideas
@FrugalMommaNTheWoods - it was fun to experiment and try some different kinds! I think that I enjoyed the breakfast ones more than Tim, he seemed to prefer the filling in a flour tortilla, like a quick breakfast burrito, more than in the crunchy egg roll wrapper. But we definitely ate them, LOL!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Great video, Thanks
Hi Stacy, you got me "rolling" yesterday and I was amazed by how good my Asian rolls came out!
I also wanted to let you know that for the sweet rolls I used guava paste and a little bit of cream cheese and they didn't explode.
My parents were from Cuba and for us, guava is one of our favorite fruits and of course, here in South Florida you can get it in all the imaginable versions; so I had a can of very thick guava paste and cut some slivers and the rolls were to die for.
I hope you can get some and give it a try.
Blessings to y'all!
Great video and great ideas!! Probably my favorite I'd try would be the first traditional one and the hamburger one!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
Got to love egg roll warps, you can use anything!
Wow so many interesting ways to use egg roll wrappers!! Thank you Stacy!!
@JuJu Bi - Hey there JuJu! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out our latest video - you are so sweet! We had fun experimenting with all kinds of different ways to use these. I had never tried egg roll wrappers until a couple of years ago, believe it or not! We love homemade egg rolls yummy,I love the Cole slaw mix in it to yum

We are so glad you are here, and hope that you will enjoy the content on our channel. 💜 That's cool that you lived overseas and had egg roll wrappers readily available. I don't think I started seeing them in stores where we live until about 6-8 years ago. I've made the rueben ones. They are delicious. Make sure your kraut is re ally dry.😊
AWESOME VIDEO. THANK YOU!! ❤️
I'm going to explore some of these ideas
We love making those. We do taco, cheeseburger, and ground pork ones. Those all look good.
@@LetsCookYall I hope you do too!
Happy holidays I love your air fryer ideas I got some wrappers an I'll try the cheeseburger wraps for my kids ouwweeee ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Loved them all!
I make egg roll in a bowl often it's wonderfulyum looks good cherry cheesecake delicious looking
@FrugalMommaNTheWoods - we really enjoy egg roll in a bowl too! It's really just a deconstructed egg roll, but the flavors are so good!
Yum! Great ideas!
I have made the taco ones... Delicious!! I need to try the cheeseburger one next!! Yumm!!
I love this!! I'm definitely going to be trying some of these for my family.
Looks good
Taco ones probably would be my favorite I love taco anything lol
@FrugalMommaNTheWoods - we love tex-mex food too, and I plan a Taco Tuesday pretty much every week! I think it is part of where we live, don't you?! LOL!
Oh, I KNOW I'm gonna love this one!!!😁🥰💜

I do the desert eggrolls but use fresh peach or strawberry
@JCinLapel - Hi there! Thanks so much for stopping by again and watching! Yes, that is definitely the way to go because I learned the hard way that canned pie filling does not work - it's much much too wet! Fresh fruit thickened with cornstarch should be great, I bet they are delicious!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
If you have not tried them I know a really easy and cheep crepe recipe.
@@LetsCookYall The other trick I completely spaced on was double warps. if you put water or a light egg wash on a whole sheet of egg roll they will form one twice as thick sheet and will cook normally. It wasn't till I put wrapper on my shopping list it hit me
These all look delicious, I really want to try the egg roll in a bowl. I was hopeful for the cheesecake ones too!
Thank you 😃
Yummy pizza egg rolls look good
@FrugalMommaNTheWoods - the pizza ones were good, and we did try a few variations.
We make homemade egg rolls in my family we use a water flour paste to close them
They all look great
@Stephanie English - Hi Stephanie, and welcome!
Have a great day
@FrugalMommaNTheWoods - thank you Beth, you too!! 😍💚
@wicawoo - thank you so much for stopping by and watching! Those all sound like amazing options - thanks! Have a blessed day ---Stacy
Love this 😀 ❤ 😍
The cheeseburger ones look so interesting.
The cheeseburger egg rolls and the taco egg rolls were our favorites (along with the traditional asian style ones to have with stir fries and Chinese food!). add diced dill pickles to the cheeseburger rolls, its amazing, it is also the Disney recipe for their cheeseburger eggrolls
Need to call you the spice queen.

Enjoyed this video. Thank you. For the cherry pies, I used the pillsbury dough and roll up like an eggroll. Holds together better.
Great idea!
Hi Stacy!
@Flounderfish - that's a great idea to use canned biscuits! I will have to try that, thanks so much! Have a blessed day ---Stacy
The cheese cake egg rolls, just a suggestion, try the sour pitted cherrys. They are in liquid not jelly, should be able to dry with a paper towel.
@Marjo Lewis - thank you so much for stopping by and watching! That's a great idea - thank you! Have a blessed day ---Stacy
My wraps were not that big same brand too good video
Nice video and good recipe sister
Yum!!! Thank you Stacy! My hubby was the same way, he'd eat anything! 😍💘💔 RIP MLT.
I’m making these this week. I also love tortilla ideas for air fryer. Got any for the 6inch torts ?
Look in the section where the tofu is stocked. In our local store, that’s the produce coolers section.
Hello my sweet friend I hope you and Tim are doing well. I enjoyed watching the video.
@Stacey Grier - Hi Stacey! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching this one! We had fun trying all of these variations!! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
Wrap a Snickers Bar! It is delicious!
I noticed with using canned fruit you need to use just a tad of fruit. A little goes a long way in the egg roll wrappers.
Awh... how sweet, you included your hubby, you two, 2 peas in a pod, how cute, love your recipes! Can you try recipes with "Puff Pastry"? Let me know.
I wonder if you could just put the cheesecake filling in them. Then serve them with the pie filling for dipping?
@Jeanie Stoltz - Hey Jeanie! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching our latest video! Following the recipe as it was written and making your own thicker filling would have worked (I took a shortcut trying to use canned pie filling and that is totally on me), and your idea sounds like a good one!! If you try it, please let me know if it works! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚
I wonder if you could mix the cream cheese mixture with the cherries? Maybe that would make it thicker???
@@LetsCookYall Yeesss! Crockpot cobbler sounds good! I haven’t done that in a long time either! Thanks for the reminder!😁
