We found out our relatives came to America in the 1840's settling in Pennsylvania. Any how, good to to hear from the Old Country! This channel and learning to make my own black saved my one remaining joy in life, Ben thank you, God Bless and keep you and yourn this Thanksgiving Day, when we are asked to take an accounting of all our blessings and that which we are thankful for, you will receive a mention. Being able to produce our own black, and having flint and a bullet mold, is freedom and peace of mind worth more than gold. It is meat on the table and defense of all we hold in our hearts, coupled with the good book it is iron in our soul that preserves and gives the means to endure. P.S The Ft. Meigs axe I purchased from you is still getting compliments every time I use it.
Another excellent video, I probably should have checked with you first, but I mentioned your video series on making black powder when I made my video on testing mine, will definitely have my new guys in our color guard watch this series, again a great job…
The British Manual of arms for the Enfield specified tearing open the paper cartridge, priming the pan, then pouring the powder into the barrel, then loading the ball, paper and all. A moment's thought makes you realize that they were priming the pan with 2F. I'm assuming they didn't mind an occasional hang fire since they shot in volleys.

2 F works fairly good as priming I've found. 3 & 4 work just a little faster though in my experience.
