    5 years later and I'm reading that this pedal didn't sell very great at launch, however people are now selling their Strymon delays/reverbs and picking this up. It went from $239 to $300 and may still go up in price. I think people want something different than being stuck in the same old. Mine comes in tomorrow

      I couldn't/wouldn't affort it when it came out. It is/was a totally underated pedal. It really needs some time to find put all the possibilities but then it beats lot's of pedals costing almost double.
      Some weeks ago i picked one up, used, in mint condition for 125€/$
      and it's a pleasure to play with.
      Btw. For the older guitar nerds:
      You can create Hank Marvins double delay signature sounds without a problem.

      Thanks Josh, it's a really cool pedal..I don't think there's much it can't do with reverb and delay.
      I work for the distributor, www.osiamo.com/Mooer-Ocean-Machine and we'll have them around February 15th. I got this one from the NAMM show but had to hand it off to Premiere Guitar for another demo. I figured I'd grab some video while I had it in my hands. =)

      yes, they have fantastic affordable pedals:
      1 - Rumble Drive [Zen drive clone]
      2 - Hustle Drive [OCD clone]
      3 - Black Secret [fantastic Rat and Turbo Rat clone]
      4 - Tender Octaver [EHX Micro Pog clone. EHX made them pull it out of the market, but sometimes you can find them on the net]
      5 - Ana Echo [Boss analog echo clone]
      6 - Green Mile [killer TS copy]
      7 - Trelicopter [Demeter tremolator clone]
      8 - Ninety Orange [MXR phase 90's clone. To my ears doesn't distort as the MXR one does, which is great]
      9 - Triangle Buff [EHX Big Muff clone]
      Cant say anything about the others, haven't tested them.

      That may be, from a retail point of view where the problems start. Strymon has a long established reputation with it's Blue Sky. While Mooer make nice pedals in a pinch they have yet to garner that kind of gravitas, just sayin'

      machine at church. It has an incredible ambient sound. 3A & 3C works good.
      I use a Mooer Acoustikar with my Fender strat with the Ocean
      machine as well. Kick in overdrive, turn off the Acoustikar & quick setting change on the Ocean machine & bam - your electric.

    Shimmer comparison with bluesky???

    • @JammyGit
      @JammyGit 5 років тому

      To be honest with you R M, I was really looking forward to using the shimmer control as well as some of the far out delays such as Crystal, Galaxy, Liquid etc but I was so disappointed with those ones and found them basically unuseable.
      To be fair though, I'd say about half of the delays on each knob are very good and most of the reverbs are good as well. So for me, I have 10 delays and about 7 reverbs out of my Ocean Machine, as well as the looper, that's useful with having the reverse & half speed options.

    This is obviously an exploding thing. Strymon Dig, Pigtronix Echolution, many many of 'em. And we gitbunnies LOVE to sit in our toy room and make cosmic noises. Some of these things are nuttier than a shithouse rat; in a _good_ way. In a band of decent caliber, the DRUMMER sets the pace and I can already "hear" some clashes. I have a Piggy Infinity looper, and they VERY WISELY provide a single extra out for the drummer and stage monitors. Can you imagine having TWO guitars having these on? They'd better lock them up with MIDI or you got cacaphony. POSSIBLY in a good way....

    The wet mix is low so does not show me the depth of the sound. A lot of us using reverbs echos etc want it deep and disturbing. I have a strymon big sky , so wanted to hear one of these. The wet mix is very tame so does not give me a idea of the machine.

    • @NealWalter

  • @DeeSeaAreEss
    @DeeSeaAreEss Рік тому

    This is a great sounding pedal BUT it is not reliable and Mooer seem to have no service. I bought one and absolutely loved it. Then it started glitching, then it stopped making any sound. The lights are all on but no one is home. I’m not the only one. There are many reports of problems just after it goes out of warranty and it’s just not worth it to get it fixed privately.
    Mooer produce great pedals at a price, but once you are forking out more than £200/$200 they need to do better on the aftercare.
    If you are happy to replace every couple of years, go for it, it’s great.
