Dave Lane's Mini-Robotic Observatory (MRO)

Dave Lane needed something to do to keep himself busy in these COVID times and decided to build a mini remote observatory. He based it on his previous experience in creating remote observatories. He gave his presentation from his home in Halifax to the RASC - Toronto Centre's Recreational Astronomy Night Meeting, which was held online on December 11th, 2020. Dave is a life member and former past president of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.

Looks like it's been about a year since this setup has been in use. How has the setup been working? Any lessons learned?

So if I buy a big piece of land, I can put this robot in the middle of nowhere with a solar panel and then observe from home whenever I want?
