What a great video ....10 out of 10 guys....My old uncle Duncan was a Scottish paratrooper .He got stuck up a tree with a busted hand over your way ...ps The Dutch should be proud of how clean they keep their place...
Thanks gentlemen for such wonderful historical work for those of us interested in WWII history! My wife and I took the beyond band of Brothers tour for D-day 75 in June 2019 but didn’t go to the Market garden campaign area... thanks for the virtual tour!!!
An excellent video. Thank you. I have a question about the demolition of the Son bridge. I have seen film footage of the 101st crossing the canal after the bridge was destroyed, as you described, on a makeshift footbridge of boards and planks. In those images there is little left of the pivot bridge but blackened, twisted girders. But in another photo I have seen, half of the bridge (it appears to be the Eindhoven side) seems to be intact and the Son side appears to be destroyed but partially repaired. I wish I could post the picture for you. Can you explain this apparent contradiction?
