one other factor about dead horse bay...there were ferrys in the early 1900s coming over from canarsie and the rockaways as well as sheepshead bay. so there was 'traffic' on the island beyond the residents!
Hey Merrill! my husband and I ran into you Saturday at Dead Horse Bay, was a pleasure meeting you, love the finds, wish we were as lucky lol...hope to run into you again there. BTW...finally found my first indian head today woo hoo!!!
new subscriber, im already hooked!!! i used to go to dead horse bay on class trips in the early 80"s. I remember it being a completely different world!
Where's the gloves? Put Needles in old plastic soda bottle. Beach looks interesting, especially slope. Adele!, I feel the Love Gotta love her😃 A scavenger never says NEVER; you set your goal you can achieve it - what would you tell the kids you teach or your kids? You know how to find 4 leaf cloves, luck os on your side. Put orange tape on tools and foam so it floats, lol. Love the marbles💗 Great 2 days. Happy digging or detecting🐸
It is very different here in Switzerland as we are not allowed to keep our finds, we have to have a licence and you are not allowed 5o scrap metal yourself here so it is very different. But as my channel grows I hope you can add me to your list of metal detecting channels
That's an awesome beach will definitely have to visit it some day I hunt the Housatonic River in Western massachusetts a lot of old old bottles and industrial crazy things I just started metal detecting have had an anfibio multi sitting in its box all summer long but it's time to get out there and use it got permission to an old fairground going back to 1842 we went yesterday and last Saturday have never dug so many beer cans and pull tabs before LMAO I think my mind was oh just turn the machine on and the treasure will come pouring out the ground lol also run a simplex + and it's been fun so far
Merrill... you could have had your own wire-cutters... look back at the 5:00 mark! Now... I'm wondering... do you have to get imported ice cream for foreign silver coins? Also wondering... will you accept honorary nincompoop scavengers who fly over to visit? I hope you will... I need to be one of them peoples... or, should that be pooples??😁😁😁
With those hypodermic needles......just rub the tip real hard on a rock to file it down so they can't poke anyone in the future....I do that when I find razorblades also
As much as I enjoy your video adventures, I have a constructive request. When you show us a find, could you stop bouncing your hand up and down? With all the up and down motion, it's sometimes hard to see the item. Also, hard to watch it without a Dramamine. Thanks.

I really love watching you find (or not find) stuff on that beach. You make the adventure more adventurous.

A thing I do as I care Pepsi with me is use a empty bottle and put the needles in. It keeps you from getting a nasty poke

What is the best item you found here?

you should wear a pair of Kevlar Gloves, that way no needles can get you.

ScAVENGERS unite!

I wouldn't touch the needles
Is it okay if a. Non detecting, old dude watches?
If this is a landfill with God knows what in it, why are you not wearing gloves? Just Curious.
