    This video is a woodworking DIY video that shows how to make a flattening planer sled jig without a jointer, which is necessary to make lumber into boards. A flattening planer sled jig is a device that fixes the lumber and planes it flat with a planer. In this video, I explain step by step how to make the jig. I also show you how to use the jig to make lumber into boards.

    Another planer jointer jig, we've all seen them before ... but as usual, Mr CarpenTAK has taken it up a level ... another well thought out design 👍

    This is much better than many of the other jointer jigs I’ve seen others make videos on. Once I get around to buying myself a thickness planer I’ll definitely be using this design!

    Nice sled, I think this design is superior to gluing numerous wedges to MDF! I like hand tools and sold my jointer which, as yours is, limited to 6" anyway. It freed up space in my tiny shop. Hand planes are not for everyone but I can get any board flat on one side. Then I may or may not run it through the planner. Lately it is done by hand tools, no mask, ear protection and no eye protection needed. That is just me, but if I were to copy a sled, this is the one.

    Taking Brian Ward's prototype design to the next level. This solves some of the problems with that design that encountered after building my own version of it.

    Great work. If I get a good hold with the wedges, do you think it will be possible to straighten a 2 meter piece?

      That's right. I think it is possible. I succeeded with a 1.7 meter wood and I think 2 meters is also possible.

    조금 무거워 보여서요.
    나중에 자동 대패 살 때 참조 하려고 문의 합니다 ㅎ
    물론 바닥은 매끄러워야 한다는 정도는 알고 있고요.

    • @carpentak
      @carpentak  10 місяців тому

      네 한번에 대패질 하는 양을 조금씩만 하면서 여러번으로 나누어 주면 괜찮습니다. 물론 단단한 하드우드는 더 조심해서 작업해야겠죠. 저처럼 자동대패의 테이블을 확장 해주는 것도 필요합니다.

    Тема с клиньями - фуфло! От вибрации они выскакивают - замучаешься фиксировать в НУЖНОМ положении. И во время строгания могут выпасть. Нужны эксцентриковые или, лучше, винтовые струбцины.
