    Thank you so much for these very informative videos. We have two loved ones in OSUT right now, at Benning, and it would have been so helpful for them to see these before shipping. It's great to have an idea of what they are doing, in addition to the quick phone calls and rushed letters they get to send. Much appreciated, and thank you for your service to our country. - God Bless You.

    Matt: the 501st legion is a legion of stormtroopers that visit hospitals of sick children dressed up in star wars costumes to help them enjoy hospital more, I find it funny the idea of being attacked by them :D. Also. degobah is the planet that yoda lives on in star wars.

    I’m off to Fort Bennings for BCT, enlisting as 11x. Everyone’s telling me it was a mistake because I scored fairly high on the Asvab, well it’s just the stepping stone in my career in the military. I want it to be difficult, nothing good comes easy. Afterwards once I’m conditioned further I’m going to strive for the 75th, and after that the special forces, and somewhere in between Id like to attend officers school. Thanks to you and other very informative UA-camrs (much like yourself) I have been able to thoroughly comprehend exactly what I’m about to knowingly step in.
    I’m even considering being the last one off the bus so some poor unsuspecting dope doesn’t have to.
    Thank you so very much for all of your very descriptive information about your experiences and what I should expect.
    P.S - I’m new to this channel and am subbed now, I literally got on and seen you in my suggested the day before I go to swear in, I’ve been binge watching your videos for a few hours now.

    The worst part of FTX3 for me was 1. DS threw a CS grenade into the building we were sleeping in. 2. A few DS thew 3 CS grenades at my feet while we were lined up on perimeter watch, mask wouldn't seal. So I said screw it and just took the mask off. DS proceeds to take a snapshot of my misery. Good times.

      I’m a wrestler right, so I’m great at temporarily cutting weight. I know you already went to badicbut for everyone else here is a few tips. Chew gum and spit into a black or non-transparent bottle, and keep up with it throughout the whole day. If you are worried people will think you’re gross make it look like you’re just taking a sip. Eat only light calorie/fat foods like egg whites or some vegetables and don’t eat a lot of them. Also don’t drink much of anything because water weighs a lot more than what some people may think

    What's your MOS man? I'm an 11B and we did basically the same shit just in different orders. For my blue phase it was grenades, NIC, buddy team live fire, 12 mile ruck, M-320 range, FTX, then recovery week.

    • @MattWard89
      @MattWard89  7 років тому

      25B. Yeah it's all similar. That's why I want to get my brother on here, 13F, and talk about his experience so people can compare. The days that you do things may change because what happens each cycle is the commander(captain) has to schedule everything and reserve times for each event. If he can't get ____ range on some day it may just be the next week. We had Eagle tower postponed like 3 times because we couldn't get times to work properly.

    Hey Matt, you said you was in the ROTC( College) right? So did you do ROTC first and then BCT or did you enlist into the Army and then later on in your career decided to go to ROTC to be commissioned as an officer?. The reason I asked is because I use to be in the Army JROTC (High School) (2008-2011) and I am currently thinking about enlisting into the Army (I’m 26 and I’ll be 27 in June). Years ago back when I was 18 I wanted to enlist but I had a medical issue that got in the way (I had eczema that was bad but I no longer go through it) but today I have decided to try again with enlisting and basically an old friend who is now a Marine just graduated recently and he really inspired me and showed me its never too late while you’re still young to graduate.

    I'm home on leave right now for the holidays, and I'm phasing over to blue phase after I get back in 2 days. We have our APFT 3 and FTX3 The Forge coming up. I'm honestly kind of nervous about this ftx 3 bc its a 42 mile ruck. I know I can do it, but like the anxiety I'm having about thinking of the pain I'm going to be in is just killing me. I feel like the best place to be when rucking is the front of the formation bc there's a greater urge of motivation to stay in the front, but I wanna know if you'd agree with that. I don't want to get stuck behind someone who's going to fall out

    Hi I’m going to fort Benning this in a couple months, for 25B. Couple questions... how is it sorted between people in your platoon and their MOS, was your platoon mainly infantry or was it all signals? I was confused because it sounds like you train with infantry but at the same time i wasn’t sure how that would work when you leave for AIT and infantry stays for OSUT, like they would just lose their PG? Also, so you left for AIT the. Next morning on bus?? Thank you so much for your content!
