  • I am pushing my own limits on my Yamaha Tenere 700; thanks to Hubert, the Polish Pol Tarrés / ADV rider!
    Check his instagram:
    / kadafi_enduro
    He gave me a warm welcome to his place!
    We did some adjustments, a tyre change and of course some fun riding!
    Later I went to the Azores to visit some friends for 5 days.

    Amazing what those enduro skills can do for riding these bigger bikes. Stand, stand, stand !! With it you develop balance and control but it's much easier to learn on the smaller bikes first. :) Looking good and will serve you while alone in the future in more technical tracks. Been enjoying following your journey.

    Fantastic video. It is so rewarding, and humbling when somebody shows you just where you are on a scale of 1 to 10. It looks like you learned a ton. I learned some things. I'll definitely check out his Instagram. He seems like a great teacher and pretty funny. Just goes to show the people you meet are a big part of the journey.

    Great video and seems a good coach, I disagree on switching the bike off on steep downhills, you may or not need the engine but you’d need it far whatever reason and is not there for you... you likely end up under the bike.. (also working the clutch a bit more would help) but frankly though it looked super slippery and you did very very well 👍🏻😊💪🏻

    I was sweating with you while watching the video. I struggle balancing the bike on low speed with those big rocks lying on the ground.
    But I am interested what he was saying at 12:26?! Switch off your engine downhill in case you slip that you don't accidentally give throttle?

    • @philhagoes9339
      @philhagoes9339 2 роки тому

      I need to get answer to that as well! Clearly engine compression is out the window.

    • @52kr
      @52kr 2 роки тому +1

      @@philhagoes9339 Two aspects here: 1. Downhill you use your engine to break. With the engine turned off, you use the clutch lever and keep your feet on the pegs. No ABS or anything to worry about. Makes it way easier. 2. With your engine switched off, you avoid accidentially rolling the throttle in a situation you really cannot afford additional speed. Especially when riding downhill through difficult terrain.

    I've used Karoo's and didn't like the front, but mitas e07 front was far worse. Best front tire for me is Anakee Wild. Rear Anakee is good, but wears too quickly.
